How long as it been now? Nearly 5 months since the Rockman EXE movie premiered in Japanese theaters? And a scary thought passed through my mind... what if it, for some reason, never receives a DVD release? That means that us English fans will pretty much never get to see the movie in it's original Japanese form. (That is, unless someone has a copy of the movie they video-taped on a camcorder laying around... but who really wants to see it like that?)

Now, I know the movie is good. I've heard it's good, it looks good... the movie rocks. I want to see it... really bad... and I'm sure a lot of other people do too. (In fact, I'm left to believe it will help us understand some obscurities in Stream a lot more.) But what if the first time any of us get to see it is when ShoPro gets their NT Warrior hands on it?

Now, ShoPro has been definitely improving with their dubbing standards recently on EXE, and on the big screen, they can "get away" with more. But I don't exactly see ShoPro ditching the glowy swords and editted severity of crises by the time they get to dubbing Stream and the movie...

Basically, what I'm saying is... it just wouldn't be the same.

Actually, the movie was released in Japan 3 months ago. Also, we might expect a release by maybe Q1 2006 or something.

That is, if KidsWB somehow manages to finish Axess this year and starts Stream next year. But then it would probably come out sometime around the middle of Stream. *twitch* 0_-

Did they edit anything in the Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! movies? 'Cause if they did, then they shall do the same to the MegaMan movie. >_<

They probally did edit the Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! movies, but you can't be 100% sure that it'd be EXCATLY like that for the EXE movie, since both Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! are handeled by 4Kids and NT Warrior is handeled by ShoPro. =/

Not sure why I was thinking the movie premiered in February... Anyway, that seems like a long time for a simple DVD release. I'm not sure how long movies take to get DVD releases over in Japan, but it couldn't possibly need to take a year for one...

As for the Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! movies... the Pokémon movies took about 6 or 7 movies to start getting accurate, such as with the original background music and stuff. And I've heard that the Yu-Gi-Oh! movie is still pretty editted (though they got by with showing guns that time around)...

I hope the movie comes out in theaters, and they have a soundtrack album with american artists like on the Pokemon and Digimon soundtracks and such. They should get famous actors and actresses to play some of the characters. I could picture John Pankow (John Vukovich in "To Live And Die In L.A." and Ira Buchman in "Mad About You") doing the voice of Lan's dad.

Considering the first DVD for Stream was released 7 months after the first episode aired, it's only natural that we're probably going to have to wait that long for the movie too. Since the movie was released in theaters in March, I would possibly expect a movie DVD announcement sometime this winter.

How long is the Rockman movie, anyway?

Considering that it was double featured with the Duel Masters movie, I assume it was just an OVA and those things usually average out to about 30 minutes.

7 months? Ouch. Them's Japanese sure do take their time. Now that I think about things, though... yeah, I guess I was overreacting a bit. (I guess the anticipation to see the movie was too great. =P) But, eh, it's pretty ignorant for me to compare it to DVD releases of feature films here anyway... sure, it takes maybe 4 or 5 months for a movie to hit DVD here... but it's not really fair to compare Rockman EXE and Miss Congeniality 2...

45 minutes is still too short for it to come out in North America.

In theaters... yeah. But I wouldn't doubt they'd at least give it a DVD release over here (that, of course, is assuming it gets a Japanese DVD release at all)...

Even a North American DVD release is unlikely.

Unless they put it on with some Stream episodes as a "Special". Otherwise, AMZ is correct, they would never put a 45 minute anime movie on DVD. It's not smart, no one would buy them =\.

Well, they probably would do the same thing as Japan did, making it a double feature movie on a DVD. who knows? They DO hae Duel Master in US.

Oh, come on, guys! I am sure that we deserve to see this film. Sure the film is 45 minutes, but I assume that ShoPro would not do too much editing. If they do, things would get chaotic!
