I was wondering What is everyone favorite version of Rockman? For me, it's Kinda hard but up until now I've Really enjoyed Rockman.exe so for now. Rockman.exe is my favorite. At First Rockman X and the original were pretty much tied. _________________ "I would not lay claim to another man's properties unless you are willing to pay a dear claim for it." -Anonymous |

For me, it's Megaman Legends (Rockman Dash).
When it comes to Legends, I'm a perfectionist. I maximize everything I can maximize, explore every secrets, accomplish every tasks, so on and so forth :D . _________________ My deviantART... |

DASH is capitalized because D-A-S-H are initials(Digouter's Adventure Story in Halcyon days(for anyone who doesn't know it basically means Digger's stories in times of peace)). I'm a perfectionist when it comes to all things DASH/Legends related. :] except one thing which I'll get to later.
That said it seems completely obvious who my favorite Rockman is. None other than Rockman/MegaMan Trigger! I know all three DASH games pretty much inside out - though it's been YEARS since I played Misadventures... stupid little brother.... I play perfectionist style as well, maxing out everything except the Shining Laser. Why? Because I find it over rated. Sure it's wicked powerful, but it's not very phun to use. Crusher is phun, Hypershell is phun, Hunter Seeker is just super cool, Reflector Arm even is phun. Shining Laser. Whoop-dee-doo. It's a beam. And it's really powerful. But not very interesting at all. It's like the buster, but in a boring color. :/ I did max it out in Legends 1, though... just for phun. Made an evening of it. Wasn't really that powerful... I think they toned it down in the PC version... Other than that, though, I do EVERYTHING. I even wasted the 2 mil Zenny in Legends to to turn myself from Dark to Normal to Light MegaMan. I answered all 100 questions in the MML2 quiz too, then played again, and just bought the "special item". XD DASH > j00 _________________ I think it's time to say goodbye. |

Can't pick a favorite here, though somehow I find the original always sticks out a bit to me...
Maybe 'cuz I'm so oldskool, lololol...

The original and X are my most enjoyable. Probably because I love side-scrollers. It might be beat out if the released a Rockman SRPG... _________________

It really depends on my mood sometimes i want to play a Classic Side Scroller so i play Megaman 1-6 and if i want to play a fun RPG i play Megaman Battle Network and if i want to play a hardcore Megaman game i play Megaman X or Megaman Zero and theres always the silly Megaman games like Megaman Legends :3 . Over all i would have to say Megaman Battle network Just because you can cutsomize your navi anyway you want so its not the same as your friends navi ^.^ _________________

It's pretty obvious that mine is EXE. (I would assume most visitors of the Rockman EXE Online Forums would agree.) But next to that, it's Classic... then X... Zero and Legends never really struck my interest that much. Well, Legends did when it first came out... but those were the days when I could stay occupied with Dr. Mario 64 for months... _________________

Don't get too assumptuous, Rockman.EXE is actually dead last on my ranking of Rockman versions.
Classic and X have always tied for my favorite Rockman version and ultimately, my favorite character of the entire Series. Though if I had to choose one immediately, I'll go with Classic Rockman, mainly because X is becoming a stuck up pacifist pansy. Had it not been for the recent X titles (X7, X8, and CM) and the Z-Series, it might have been more in X's favor, but now he's become TOO in-depth. To me, he just seems more like a typical nagger with the authority to punish, rather than a hero. Rockman still retains his glow in my eyes, and has yet to truly dissappoint me. I still love X though, just X-X6 X. X7-CM X and Unknown X from the Zero Series don't interest me.
Rockman Trigger has the perverted personality to make things interesting and an awesome design, but we really haven't seen much of him. Rockman.EXE ranks on the bottom because, well he's nothing more than a piece of data who relies on a small child to perform combat abilites. Without Netto, all he can really do is use his buster and that's crap anyway, not to mention his design is the least appealing of the four Rockman versions IMO. He's my favorite EXE caharacter, but that doesn't mean much as there are X-Series mavericks and Classic Series robot masters that I'd choose over him anyday. I'm sorry Rockman.EXE fans, but Rockman.EXE just doesn't appeal to me anymore, not as much as he used to anyway.
I'm not even going to count Rockman Zero because that's a series, not a Rockman version. And if I did, he would be under Rockman.EXE because frankly there's nothing I like about Z-Series Zero, other than his ability to double dash jump. |

I'd probably say that the Classic series is at the top of my list. I haven't actually played any of the games until I was able to buy the MMAC (I'm horrible, I know XD; ) but I was already in love with the series even before then, and I fell more in love with it when I could actually play them. Plus, MM7 is the only one out of ANY Megaman game that I'm actually good at ^-^;;
If it's possible to like a series you've never played, then X would probably be right around here. I don't know why, but even though I've never played an X game, I already love it. As soon as I have some money, I'm going to buy some of the games, I swear... (I also put Zero in this space, though I've never played that either. When I do, it'll probably be moved to it's own space on my list)
Aside from that... EXE and Legends actually share the same spot, if for the only reason that I've only played a bit of each series ^^;.. Actually, it's kinda hard to order which I like in order of preference, since I like them all almost the same. I love Megaman as a collective, no matter what the series is or which Rock people are talking about. _________________

Eh... so can Forte in Rockman & Forte, unless we're getting termonology mixed up. That and, well... I don't recall Zero being able to double dash jump a single time in the first three games ('still yet to play 4)... _________________

It's in one of the leg chips in Zero 3, though I forgot how to get it. And I was just stating the only thing I like about Z-Series Zero. Long ago I used to love his re-design, but around mid-November last year, I realized that good ol' bulky Zero is the better Zero, for me at least. And since then, I've been scoffing at skinny Zero any chance I got.
And just so no-one gets me wrong, I do like Rockman.EXE. It's just that I prefer robots over navis so he'll rank kind of low. |

Eh... serves me right for not finishing Zero 3. But, yeah... I'm not too wild about the Zero series either. Regardless that the gameplay is derived from the X games, it just doesn't have that classic X feel to me. That and it hasn't really changed since Zero 2 (as if I expected it to or something). I still do like the RMZ Zero himself, though... probably only because of the artists who depict him. I love the RMZ art style... _________________

Well, considering over 80% of every Rockman thing I own is from the Classic series...well I guess it's pretty obvious which one I like.
Plus, Flashman, Quickman and Metalman, enough said.
I love the Legends series as well, but dagnamit, when is 3 coming out???!?
And actually, X is on the bottom of my list. X was fine until X6 came along, then the series pretty much went straight to hell after it. And I agree, X has become an annoying hippie pacifist, he's pretty much worthless. I think Classic Rockman should come back to life and ream his sorry behind. _________________
