Weee... here we go again! This one will be a bit short though XD

Colors of Frienship

"I'm bored!" A girl groaned, combing her long pink hair for the fourth time that afternoon. She was sitting on semi empty classroom, sporting a gray school uniform.

"Maybe you should try and play something with the rest of us!" Another girl replied, playing with something that looked like a handheld videogame. "You have a PET but you never play with it, Maddoi."

Maddoi frowned and tied her hair on two ponny tails before reaching for a pursue, digging through its contents to retrieve a bottle of nail polish of her favorite color. "Those things are so boring. My Navi can barely speak, what's the fun of that?"

"Don't tell me you don't know about the upgrades?" Maddoi's schoolmate giggled softly, speaking in a matter-of-fact tone, "You know, this month the newest Navi technology was released. They can speak and have their own personality to relate with you. You can purchase the patch and customize your navi's personality. If you can afford it you can order a customization for your Navi's appearance too!" The girl grinned and showed her PET's screen to Maddoi, a pretty 'handsome' male navi displayed on it.

"Oh?... You can really make their personalities any way you want them?" Maddoi looked at the Navi with interest, a small smile growing in her pink colored lips. Maddoi knew many people and she was well liked among her classmates, but hardly any of them was really a friend to her. None of them shared her interests and her twisted sense of humor. If humans couldn't be her friends, then she could mold someone to be exactly what she wanted on a friend.

"This better work well. I had to pick on many pockets and take so many weird jobs to afford this customization!" Maddoi huffed as she placed a mini disk on the CD Drive of her PET charger. Navi customization was a very new technology and customize the navi's apearance and abilities was still pretty costly. She was no rich girl, but she wasn't the kind to give up easily.

After nearly an hour of installing the data, Maddoi left her PET restarting and reconfiguring her current black and green standard navi to watch some TV.

About 4 hours later, some maniatic, somewhat annoying babbling came from the PET, the pink haired girl glanced to it and quickly moved to pick it up, raising a fine eyebrow to what looked like one of those wobbling clown baby toys. She didn't expect his appearance to be quite like this, but it wasn't something she disliked.

"I'm Coloredman! You are Maddoi?! Oh! I love your make up!" He laughed and made all sorts of weird faces. Most people would have found that childish and rediculous, but Maddoi actually smiled, liking very much how bouncy and crazy her new friend seemed to be. And he seemed to be very good at complimenting her. Yes, she was sure she was going to enjoy his company very much.

It was not a problem...at least not so much. It still drove the point home, I gather.

Characterization is always a plus, and you do not fail to show it in the initial portions of the story. I was a bit miffed that it ended so abruptly, but I can't say many other bad things about it.

OK, Planty. Seeing as how this thread has been dead, and how I have already put Neko on the task, I'd like to see your take on this.

I'd like to request a ficlet based on everyone's favorite nerd, Higsby. Do it so that we can see what does not appear in the games or anime, i.e., something similar to his secret life, etc. Either game or anime universe is fine. I leave the rest up to you.

"Enzan..." Chocolate brown eyes glanced intensely into asure orbs, a delicate hand reaching hessitantly towards a tightly formed fist.

"It was all my fault. There's nothing else to say. Its was me. It was my choice... I knew what would happen, and I still did it. He's gone, Anetta. I destroyed the only friend I had for most of my life."

Anetta did not know what she could tell to the skunk haired boy. What she could say? It was her who gave him the chip that corrupted and engulfed any good that resided in his navi's soul.

Anetta could relate so well to the feeling. She had lost her navi as well, and that loss sparked her own darkness. She had done what Silk would have never approved of.

"Please, Enzan. Don't feel it's your fault... You did what you thought it was best. I know Blues, the true Blues will come back to you. He will, I know it!" Anetta took one of Enzan's fists into her hands, giving a comforting squeeze to it. A small, comforting smile crept into her lips. She knew she couldn't do much but support Enzan through the hard times to come, but she knew, deep withing her heart, that Rockman, Netto and their friends would help Blues to come back and defeat the dark seed on him.

Enzan blinked a couple of times, blushing lightly at the comforting words and caring glance from the orange haired girl. With a small nod, he smiled lightly, holding hope in his heart, and heartfelt thanks towards the girl that now held his hand.

"How cute are you!" That was the first thing he could remember about her. The day they met she crouched to his level and wrapped her arms around him. His tiny arms barely able to wrap back around her.

Iceman blushed shyly everytime he'd see her smile. Everytime she came close by. It was another child-like crush, just like Aki-chan years back. But the new object of his affection was able to hug him and hold him. Medi, such a cute name, he thought.

Medi thought of him as a cute, his child-like appearance and sweet innocence made her feel warm inside. He was just like a plushie doll to hug and nuzzle, Iceman was, indeed irresistible for her... in a cute kind of way.

Medi couldn't stop hugging the small aqua navi everytime they'd met. He was like a lovable toy you just have to hug. But Medi did not think of him as a toy to hug and squeeze. She felt some kind of affection for him, a motherly affection perhaps?

Iceman's crush for Medi was on a similar route, he couldn't grasp the concept of a romantical love that well. But admiration, and idolization, he was fairly familiar with. He loved Medi, like any child would love its mother and he smiled with the innocence of a small child, as they both enjoyed a ride on Net City's amusement park.

It was a bit short, I'll admit. Nevertheless, it is still a good novelization of the infatuation between the navis in the fic.

I would like it if it were a tad longer, but it still adequately expresses what it was set out to do. It seemed that the fic would be a bit better if there was some sort of flashback, perhaps with their meeting, to better show their feelings with one another.

To Times Once Forgotten

"You seem thoughtful today." A soft but somewhat creepy voice echoed in a barely illuminated room. In the middle of the living room, a large capsule erected itself. Filled with a green glow, the image of a navi of rather creepy appearance was displayed.

"I am." Miyuki sighed softly as she walked towards the capsule, casually beginning to undo the braids on her hair. Sometimes she wondered why she still bothered braiding her hair anymore. It had grown several inches in the past few years.

"What is on your mind?" Skullman asked, tilting his head as the girl approached his capsule. Over the years, these devices that allowed net navis to present themselves to human eyes past beyond their PETs became a common and easily affordable item in human's houses.

"The past. The present. The future." Miyuki nodded slightly, running her fingers through her hair to comb it. Skullman couldn't help but admire how beautiful his operator had become over the years. It was a more mature, ellegant beauty.

"You can stop staring at me now." The green haired girl laughed softly, catching her navi staring at her in some sort of daze once more. Miyuki smiled a bit more as she rested a hand on the capsule that displayed the digital body of her net navi.

"I'm sorry," Skullman looked away embarassedly, "I can't help it." it wasn't a secret for neither of them the mutual attraction they felt for each other, but Skullman was still shy about being caught watching over his green haired operator.

"What do you think the future will bring for us, Skullman?" The fortune teller sighed softly as she looked away, to no special place.

"The future? You mean, us?" The skelleton shapped navi tilted his head and glanced to Miyuki's hand that still rested on the glass off his capsule.

"Yes, do you think someday... Do you think we'll be able to touch each other someday? To be able to be together?" Miyuki turned her face back to her navi, a sad look on her face. "Do you think one day we'll be able to hold hands? Be able to love each other freely?"

Skullman would have smiled, if he had lips. He sighed softly and placed his hand against Miyuki's on the other side of the glass. "Maybe. That doesn't matter as of now. As long as there's love in your heart and on mine... we can endure the barriers that separate us. As long as I exist, there'll be love in these digital bones, in my core, in my soul."

Miyuki smiled fully, looking at her and Skullman's hands, perhaps one day the barrier of realms that kept them so close, yet so appart would be broken and they'd be able to hold each other's hands for real, for now, just to know he loved her was all she needed to keep going.

The black eyed girl smiled a little more as she closed her eyes and pressed her lips softly against the cold surfice, Skullman bent foward a bit, pressing his head against the glass, trying to return the affection the best he could. Miyuki let out a soft but content sigh, resting her head against the capsule. Just to know that he loved her was all she needed to keep going.

Aww. A nice one. I really should be getting used to the length of these fics, since I always think that they are too short...

Anyway...I always thought Miyuki's hair was closer to a shade of teal. There's also a quick misspelling of "skeleton", but not much else.

You seem to be on a streak. That's always a good thing.

Weee, more Skullman! It's like a direct sequel of Angelodina's pieces. Between the three of them span pretty much the whole spectrum of Miyuki's and Skullman's relationship. I take it this is more of the distant future, you didn't seem to specify it, but I assumed she was getting quite elderly. Very touching stuff.

But no, Skullman doesn't need lips, his skinlessness is what makes him who he is! He can't kiss or show emotion easily, but that's part of his burden, it just makes him more kickass.

I wonder how much Skullman related stuff I completely miss on the fanfic board. I usually just immediately mark this forum read unless something in the topic titles catches my eye (like now, for instance).

Can you do a fic where Slur gives Mariko A. Sparkman? The plot? Mariko worries about Yuriko and doesn't want to lose her again. Slur pays her a visit and bestows upon Mariko Asteroid Sparkman. Oh, and I want Sparkman to end up a good guy.
