The Topic says it all. Everytime I use these things something happens. In Pokemon Leaf Green I had a complete Pokedex code "Didn't want to waste time trading with myself" after i used the code The Item I need to trade with Ruby/Sapphire/Colosseum disappears, and I can't enter the Elite Four. Then in Megaman BN 5, I used the Max Zenny code it gave me the full 9s of zenny, but only when i have the thing on. Of course now I cant gain a single Zenny anymore "BWS: Bottomless Wallet Syndrom" Not only that but now, even with the code on, I can't buy single items like "I have a special chip I want to sell you". I can buy anything else but those...These things are cursed! :grr: |

To be honest, I'm not surprised. Do you really believe that hacking into a game's program and messing around with things won't have any side effects?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not condemning the use of Action Replay, I don't really care about it either way. But in almost every game with cheats or hacks, there's always the possibility that the hacking will screw up the game's programming. _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

Nah, I wouldn't say its a Dark Chip. More of a Bug Style. I like using an Action Replay in certain games or in certain circumstances. Not all the time, but either when I'm bored or if it involves a really, really, really tedious task.
For example, in Zelda Wind Waker when you had to translate all those charts and each one costs tons of rupies each. Rather than getting some translated and going back out on the boat across that endless ocean and collecting more rupies over and over, I just used an unlimited rupy code and viola. It didn't mess anything up and it made things move by a lot quicker with a lot less boredom.
I've been known to put down games because I lose interest or get into something else. Then I'll come back to it later and pick it up again and remember why I put it down, use some codes to make it more interesting and get my money's worth out of it. Or I'll do the usual and beat a game then go back with codes and have some real fun with it. ^_^ I only have one for the PS2 and the GC. None for the GBA. _________________ Power wielded by incompetance leads to nothing but self destruction. |
