I've come to the conclusion that Lan, Tory, Mayl, Chaud, and Dex are 12. Yai is 9. As for Laika. I really cant picture him being 13 so I'd say about 16-19. Hard to say. Something that leaned me to saying that Laika was 16-19 was that in the game Tesla kind of sort of hit on him. So I thought that a 29 year old hitting on a 13 year old was rather...immoral.

The EXE5 museum does say Tesla is 30 and that she SAYS she's 29, so that justifies any quotes from Tesla in ToB. It's supposed to be an obvious joke too, since 30 year old women ike Tesla tend to try to pass themselves off as younger. Even 29 can look ten whole years younger than a 30 year old. It's the difference between saying you're 20-something and 30-something.

Haly K: Reverse Yahut and Zap's ages I think. Gauss could be like 50 or maybe even 60 and Zap is his younger brother so he's probably 40 or so. Maddy and Match are probably about that age give or take a year. Any ideas on how old Mariko is? Wasnt Masa taught by Mariko? That means she must be...older than she looks.

Match's 27? WTF? He looks and sounds like he's in his mid 40s ( especially in the japanese version). I think Zap is a little older than 30 somthing myself. Urg.

Anyway, I wonder if the game writers want the characters to grow up. The 5 games cover at least one year, as passage of time is mentioned. I've figured out, give or take, that by exe5, Lan and crew should be either 12, or almost 13. There's no way they're still 11, unless they're caught in some kinda time loop. Ugh, makes no sense.

No, the game writers are aware of the passage of time. It's just moving at glacial speeds. I'm mean everyone did go up a grade at the end of BN3, it's just that they don't feel like specifying that the characters have turned a year older, or going through the trouble of making older looking character designs. On the other hand, the anime does seem to be stuck in ye old anime time warp where months and months pass, seasons change, but no one grows up or changes grades or anything. I don't think it's become an issue either way yet in the manga.

I'm pretty sure they all went up one grade in the anime. They just have the same teacher, which makes no sense. Then again when was the last time we saw Netto in school anyway.
