Seeding is leaving your Torrent client on after the download is done. Most tracker people prefer you to have a 1:1 ratio (download one MB, upload one) but more is very, very preferred. _________________ Make a random avatar/ banner. | Atomic Fire's oekaki board. |

Hi I'm wondering which software is the best without any wares in it? I'm thinking of using it but I heard somewhere it could crash a computer. So what do you recommend? _________________ Avatar by May, many flowers and thanks for the wonderful avatar. |

Azureus is good but it might bog down your system if it's really, really crappy. The regular old BT client is the lightest one around but it doesn't minimize to tray. BitTornado and BitComet might be good..
Try in this order: (it never hurts to install and uninstall...)
Azureus
BitComet
BitTornado

I've got a Mac OS 9.3 and when I try to download from Saito-Raws I either get the error:
ERROR:
error: unknown key --ur
run with no args for parameter explanations
or
ERROR:
trouble accessing files - [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '[Saito-Raws] Rockman.EXE Stream - 43.avi'
Thanks in advance

I don't think you properly downloaded your BitTorrent client, because that happened to me until I realized I hadn't downloaded it -_-; . _________________

It works fine with WPP and everywhere else I've tried downloading _________________ "I, frankly, felt like the reception we recieved on the way in from the airport was very warm and hospitable, and I want to thank the Canadian people who came out to wave - with all five fingers - for - for their hospitality."

I use Bit Lord and it works pretty well for me.
However, when I try to download an episode (more specifically episode 47 of EXE from WPP) they say there's an error in tracking response. Was the torrent not "torrented" correctly or did I not save/download correctly? _________________ I'll remember that day, and I won't let it go. |

What are the differences between Azureus and BitTorrent? Is Azureus faster/the fastest?

No, it really depends on your connection speed. Programs don't really have much of an impact on them. _________________ I'll remember that day, and I won't let it go. |

Well, my connection can be ranged from 1kb-100kbs or above, mostly depends on the number of peers there are available. Programs does NOT have any differences in speed, just in function. For example, Bit Tornado is a good program, but Azurus can be better because you can have mutliple downloading at once and view the status of each.
Ming Yi: If it doesn't work anyhow, I recommend you to use Bit Tornado or similar programs to leech off from BoxTorrents and make it only downloading that specific episode you are talking about. _________________

I've read all this and it doesn't make any sense to me. Everytime I try anything with Bit it doesn't work. I don't have the memory left to d/l bit torrent or anything like it |

Okay, I gots a bit of problem here;
When I'm finished downloading something off BT, and I wanna get it off my BT downloader without screwing up the file, what do I do? I was on SR and just finished downloading episode 44 of stream off BT, I hit the X button (or abort download,) and when I went to play the file, it said
Quote: | Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file. |
And yes, I have all the right codecs and that shit, I'm sure of it. _________________

There could be two problems:
1. Your file is corrupted. You didn't finish your download, or you corrupted the file yourself. Sometimes, if you don't press 'finish' and press 'x' instead, the BT won't completely finish the file and thus corrupt it.
2. You missed a codec or sort. Update your WMP or get another player, like BS player or Winamp.
If none works, the best is to download the file again. _________________

Try VLC Player. If that doesn't play it, nothing will. Try to open the .torrent file again with your client and make it download to the exact same directory as you had your orignal download. That will make your BT client resume downloading, maybe you're missing a few bytes from the beginning of your file. _________________ Make a random avatar/ banner. | Atomic Fire's oekaki board. |
