I believe everyone in the opening are people who have been, or will be, attacked by Lil Slugger or involved with him in some way. Thats my theory anyway.

So....now what? lol Just when I think things couldn't get more confusing, things get MORE confusing! @_@ Did anyone see this past Saturday's episode? Just weird man.

I dunno why everyone's so confused. Honestly... the storyline is making sense to me. Then again, I tend to like the really twisted-up, chronologically-confusing, mind-boggling, psychologically-warped storylines... Anyway, the 13-episode PA box set is now available at Amazon, and they're selling it for 25% off (so, it's about 75 USD instead of 100 USD). I still think that's pricey for a mere 13 episodes, though... (I recall the Sailormoon subtitled box sets of entire seasons, which is 40 or 50 episodes, being the same price.)

Considering that FLCL goes for around $25 a DVD and only has two episodes per DVD... I think anime is getting a tad pricey too.

*SPOILERS*

Well, its just that you have the one detective that was buying into the whole RP parody thing and Lil Slugger was caught. Okay, fine. The first lady was figured out to have assaulted herself and it wasn't a "Lil Slugger" as first thought. Again, okay, fine. Lil Slugger fesses up to only assaulting two of the victims...so that leaves all the rest. Who is assaulting them? Whats with the radio stuff?? Lil Slugger gets, not assaulted, but killed by...Lil Slugger?!? Then both cops saw the guy skate through a wall and you say you don't know why everyone is confused?? O_o....

Yes...it is very confusing. Such a wierd, yet great show Smile Well I want to see what happens next. I'm starting to really like this anime. Except for the opening.

[spoil:312d7bb9a6]I'm pretty sure lil' Slugger is not human, just an imagination killer/assaulter, like Freddy Kruger(I think that's how you spell his name)[/spoil:312d7bb9a6] Atleast this is what my friend told me. =P

This anime is actually made by some very well known directors that have worked on some pretty big anime in the past. They alternate between each other. If you notice, the art and the way everything is approched also changes every episode. That's also a major reason why it's so pricey. It makes perfect sense, yet no sense at all. Something that causes simulation of the mind and yet...takes it away. "Contradictions are intresting" is the real slogan of this series.

If it were like that, Paranoia Agent would be bumped up to #3 on my top ten anime list. I'm a huge fan of anything Freddy Krueger like.

That makes perfect sense... sense being that the series isn't over yet, and you're not supposed to understand everything fully yet. This series is a mystery series; you have clues and evidence and such that you need to take in and pay attention to. Not everything is going to be fed to you immediately as it happens. Paranoia Agent is not something linear and simple; it has strong imagery and symbolism with everything that happens. It's not a cut-and-dry "kid likes to hit people with bats" detective anime. No... it's something more abstract. You'll understand it if you let yourself think abstractly as you watch...

So... In other words, its going to involve a suspention in belief? Supernatural attacker possibly? I can understand that if that is where this is headed, but I was trying to understand this seriously. As in, with scientific facts and something that could actually happen. I could follow along with this fine until the murder scene and the guy disappearing through the wall after they both saw him. Things like that generally don't happen in real life. So thats why I'm confused. I had all the clues and everything was fitting...until now. O_o Sorta derailed my train of thought.

Oh, and I still haven't heard from anyone about the translation of the opening theme song. Does anyone have it?

That's because all of this time, we have been looking through each person's perspective, as you know, when one's going insane, some things are going to seem a little awkard when looking through this perspective.

Wait til ya see the next episode. Smile

I figured it was obvious from the beginning that this was a supernatural thing...

Gantz also is two episodes per disc, and it's even longer than FLCL. But then I consider what I saw at Best Buy the other day. Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040 has been rereleased by ADV as Essential Anime and the price is amazing $13 for one volume, and there are only three volumes! The entire series is available for about $39! The price of a series is dependant on several factors, the first being how much a production company has to pay the original creators in liscensing. Some series are going to come out cheaper because the price oer episode the dubbing company pays is not so high. And of course, the opposite is true as well. If you wait long enough, and the anime is popular enough to make the company a profit, then the price will eventually drop. That being said, Bubblegum Crisis 2040 is well worth the price. It's excellent and the music is awsome. Just make sure it's 2040 and not the old series.

EDIT: By the way, if you're looking for bargain prices on anime, keep an eye on www.rightstuf.com because they have the occasiaonal sale of one company's products and they have weekly specials as well. Sales appear on the main page and weekly specials can be found in the online store. I ordered Paranoia Agent for $60 U.S. and THe Ninja Scroll TV series for $30. Some deals have been even better, such as the entire 52 episodes of Fushigi Yugi for about $92 when it used to run for far, far more.

OK, I have to admit... the last PA episode didn't make a lick of sense to me. I mean, I figured out pretty early on that Zebra and the others were already dead... but pretty much every detail in the episode was right over my head, especially the end (with the "Happy Family Planning extra-slim condoms" display). So, there you go... that one surpassed me.

What did I say? Wait til you see next episode! XD

Seriously, this one was hilarious...can't be a stiff shirt all the time. From what it seems, either Lil' Slugger is a ghost, or he can see ghosts... >_>

Yeah that was a crazy episode wasn't it. (and you're not the first to wonder about the condoms but remeber sometimes a cloud is just a cloud so it may not mean anything.)

You have no clue. They already determined that the kid had some connection to the real little slugger and that he was a "copy-cat". He also thought he was a holy warrior. The real lil' slugger killed him because he was "emotionaly cornered". After such a mercilous interigation you would be to. All this stuff was understandable with just the info from that one episode. You want confusing? Try being an FLCL fanboy.

Oh...uh...*pats Trigger on the head* nothing personal.

I LOVED yesterdays episode! It was funny! Smile I still didn't know how you said Zebra was dead...
Also, did he have a boyfriend or somting? cuz They showed the locket thingy and i THINK it showed him with sum guy.
I know they episode had to do with that fad in Japan, Where people find other people to do suicide with and stuff.

Now that I think of it, Zebra DID see that guy walk away after he got hit with that train...

Actually, I think I do. No patronizing is neccessary. The last episode shed some light on things. Zebra and the others referred to "Fox" as the guy who got killed by Lil Slugger in the police station. So he was one of the online group who wanted to be dead or find a way to be dead. Guess he did. Heh. What a weird way to go. As for Zebra and the others already being dead, I guess thats possible. They keep trying to die, but just can't. He keeps saying that it is his last pill. It was kinda funny actually. It would make an interesting sitcom. Wink But yeah, the condom thing at the end seems misleading. Unless it has something to do with something else. For now, I'm going to put that on another pile of evidence labeled "WTF" and leave it be. The part where they creeped out Lil Slugger and started chasing him was great. lol At this point though the question still remains, just what is Lil Slugger and where did he come from and so on?

Oh, and I am an FLCL fan. I have seen it lots of times and can actually follow it and understand it. Just for the record. Wink Crystal Pepsi, curry powder aphrodisiac, and those...eye-brows...
