Sorry for the wait...next couple of chapters now I guess.

Chapter Twenty Three: Night of Flames

A shadowy figure stood up straight in the dark room, staring out a large tinted window at the people filled streets below. The shadow turned to adress the navi that had just appeared in the room where it stood.

"I heard about the incident at the amusement park. If Tremor fails again then have him eliminated...we cannot afford to keep letting the children go," it said in a cold voice.

"But he did manage to get the exact locations of the human homes..."

"Yes...that is the only reason I even fathomed giving him another chance. If he fails again...it will not be accepted. Do you understand?"

"Yes sir." Silence for a few moments, during which the shadowed man resumed out the window. "It-it's time we attack the humans directly, sir. It's the only way to spread true terror." The red navi spoke hesitantly and nervously. The shadowed person didn't answer, considering the navi that stood in front of him.

"I trust you have a plan Burnerman?"

"You could say that."

~*That Night...*~

"Netto, you should go to bed now so you can get up in the morning."

"But it's only ten!" Netto protested. Rockman rolled his eyes.

"Suit yourself, but I'm still getting you up at eight."

"What? Eight! Why eight?!" Rockman didn't answer. "You're not sleeping, come on!" Netto let out a huge sigh and sat on the edge of his bed. "Oh man..." He kicked off his shoes and put his PET on his desk. After turning out the light, Netto plopped on his bed and stared at the ceiling mumbling about eight in the morning and how it was way too early.

Meanwhile, a navi had broken into the house's computers and disabled the security system.

"Now you humans will learn the true meaning of terror."

A few hours later, Katya was awakened by the fire alarm in her room. She sat up and blinked, trying to clear her vision, which was still foggy from just awakening. She realized that it wasn't her vison...her room was filled with hazy grey smoke.

"Katya, get outta the house! There are cyber fires everywhere, it's not safe for you." Katya coughed, slid out of bed, buckled on her shoes, and grabbed her hat. As she was pulling on her black vest over her grey long sleeved shirt and her black fingerless gloves over her hands, she adressed her navi.

"What's happening?"

"A navi broke into the system...the damage is done. I detect a bunch of viruses... No trace of who started this anywhere."

"Plug in. I'll get out...hurry back when the fire's out...be careful." Cyclone nodded as she disappeared. Once outside, Katya coughed and looked around. The firefighters weren't here...why? She saw flashing lights in the direction of Meiru's house and got a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach. Her house and Meiru's...beside Meiru's house, there was another building ablaze.

"Storm's getting their revenge on me and my friends...and it's all my fault." Katya coughed again and turned to face her smoking home. It seemed as though it had taken only light damage. Cyclone appeared in her PET and sighed.

"Wasn't that hard, but there were a ton of viruses that I've never seen before," she said solemly. Katya nodded and slid her skates out of her backpack and onto her feet. "You're not gonna-"

"Can't just sit here...you saw how the firefighters are all preoccupied. Yaito and Dekao's homes are either taken care of or being taken care of and Meiru's house fire was just put out. No one came here and Netto's house is prolly burning too..." She coughed. Cyclone frowned but didn't argue as Katya started to skate toward Netto's burning home.

"Rockman, what's taking so long?"

"There are a ton of viruses, Netto, and it's not like what you had inside of your oven that day." Netto sighed, remembering the day that he had gotten Rockman and his navi had saved his home from an oven fire.

"Sorry I'm sure you're doing the best you can..." He looked toward the closed door that led from the stairs to his room. It had grown red from the heat of the fire and smoke had already begun to escape into his room from underneath it. "Uhh...Rockman? How much longer until the door...you know..."

"I can't chat with you right now..."

"..."

"Ohmygawd...this is worse then I thought." Katya skidded to a stop in front of Netto's...fireball. The whole house was engulfed in flame, and parts of the roof had already caved in. Katya looked to her left and saw Meiru's house down the block. Fire trucks were suddenly around her, the men inside already singed from the fire that they had just put out.

"Hey, little girl, this isn't safe. Go home." Katya showed her Net Savior badge and frowned.

"I know who started these fires." The fireman swallowed and nodded.

"Sorry about that." Katya glanced back to the house. She was running out of time. She heard the firefighters talking and turned to listen in...maybe they coulf give her info on where she could get into the home.

"It's too dangerous to send a team in. The fire's mostly destroyed the place anyway."

"I hope no one's inside..."

"Katya I don't think we can do anything," Cyclone said.

"There's a way." There's gotta be a way...

End Chapter 23.

Chapter Twenty Four: Cyclone Soul

Rockman shot a few more viruses with his buster gun and turned around. There were hundreds of red and black viruses that he had never seen before. They looked like flaming monkeys with black hollow eyes. The viruses chattered and left flames dancing everywhere they stepped. Rockman shot at a few more, deleting them.

"This is almost impossible...they keep coming back!" One of the viruses chattered and shot a wall of fire at Rockman. The blue navi jumped out of the way and backed into another virus. The monkey squealed and poofed into a fireball. It deleted itself and singed Rockman's armour. "They're everywhere!"

"I'm starting to feel like a piece of bread in a toaster," Netto said, flattening himself aganst the wall closest to his window.

"Can't you get out through the window?"

"We're on the second story!" Netto coughed and rubbed his stinging eyes. Outside, Katya picked up a rock and threw it at a window that the fire hadn't already melted or been broken. She hoisted herself up onto the sill and almost choked on all of the smoke inside of the complex.

"Least his mom's away...," she muttered. She stepped into the house and squinted through the stinging blackness of the smoke. "Gawd this place is a mess."

"Be careful and move quickly," Cyclone said. "Still don't like the fact you're gonna be alone."

"Just plug in." Cyclone frowned and disappeared into the house's computer. Katya grabbed the rock off of the floor and smashed the glass that protected a nearby fire extinguisher.

"Netto, something's in here."

"A virus?"

"Don't think so..." A chuckle came form the flames in front of the blue navi. The orange and red flames cleared and revealed a red navi. "Burnerman?"

"You won't get away this time...our last encounter was just practice for this!" He gestured at the flames dancing around the computer, grinning. Rockman pointed his Rock Buster at Burnerman.

"Get outta here and take your viruses with you."

"Like them? My own creation." Burnerman chuckled and held out his palm. A flame grew and fanned out into the shape of a monkey virus. The still flaming figure jumped onto the ground and split into two viruses that cooled, making the two new monkeys exact copies of the ones running around the computer. Rockman deleted the two viruses.

"Take them and leave...this is your last chance." Burnerman was about to say something but a grey and black navi jumped him from behind and started shooting light blue buster shots at his flames.

"Get off of me you little leech...!!!" Burnerman flung Cyclone off of his back and she landed next to Rockman, grinning.

"Heya, need help?" Rockman nodded and gave her a half smile. The two navis pointed their busters at Burnerman. The red navi smirked and tried to attack them with some fire, but his burners had been disabled by Cyclone's blasts.

"Oh...you're gonna get it." He started toward Cyclone and smacked her into a wall of viruses. They started attacking her in a huge swarm.

"That's not cool!" Rockman said angrily, hitting Burnerman over and over again with buster shots. The navi smiled as the shots bounced off of his armour.

"Not meant to be cool...the hotter the better." Rockman gritted his teeth.

"Cyber Sword, Slot In!" The blue navi looked down at his arm in shock as it transformed into the sword. "Use it, Rockman," Katya's voice said urgently. Rockman nodded, dodged a swipe from Burnerman, and knocked all of the viruses away from Cyclone, deleting them. Burnerman rolled his eyes and started making more.

"Thanks...let's get thias guy now." Cyclone started to get up, and Rockman held out his hand. The grey navi half smiled and took it. The navis' symbols started to glow.

Katya had made her way into Netto's room and delayed he flames with the extinguisher. After sending a few chips to Rockman, she turned her attention to Netto. He was sitting on the floor, coughing from time to time.

"Is there any other way out? The window maybe?" Katya asked urgently.

"We're on the second story..."

"Well it may be our only way out." Katya coughed for a few seconds. "Uhm..." She opened the large window and looked out. They were on the second story...and it was a pretty good drop. The firefighters below pointed and started to get the ladders on the trucks. "This'll be easier then I thought..." She shrugged.

Inside of the computer, Rockman had been transformed. He now wore Cyclone's armour over his, and had black, grey, and light blue parts on his design. The pack on his back had four short points on the corners and a see through blue visor was over his eyes. His boots went up to his knees and his helmet had a bill like a hat.

"What is this, a costume party?" Burnerman said nervously, pausing in creating his viruses. The monkeys chittered uneasily and rocked back and forth on the ground in front of him.

"This costume'll teach you a thing or two!" Rockman's arm changed into a buster and he shot bubbles of water at Burnerman. The red navi put up his arms.

"I've failed...again. But...He...will teach you..." The attack hit it's mark and deleted it. The viruses fizzled out and all of the flames in the computer faded away.

"'He?'"

Katya grabbed the PET's and climbed down the ladder. She handed Rockman's device to Netto along with the new chip that would allow Rockman to use Cyclone Soul anytime and he smiled his thanks. Katya slid her PET into the pouch at her waist and turned to look at Netto's house. Most of it was severely damaged...no one would be able to live in it for a while. But, a home could be fixed.

"They've gone too far."

Mostly...bored. Haha never saw that comin did ya? Uhh...yup. Next chappys...oh and by the way, I'm prolly gonna get done with this ficcy soon...and maybe start a new one. Not a sequal, but another one. Totally new. Yay. Uhh...yup. <--Did I already say that? Hmm. *shrug*

Chapter Twenty Five:

"Mom, I'm okay..." The next day, Haruka had rushed home from visiting with a relative in Netopia. Netto and Katya were hanging out at the park when she got home and she had begun to strangle Netto as soon as she saw him. Katya coughed, hiding a laugh.

"Ohmygosh, I leave for a day and what happens? You almost got killed!"

"Mom...we didn't even stay in the hospital for that long-"

"You were in the hospital?!?" Netto groaned.

"Mom, I'm not dead...I'm standing here...talking...hear me talking? See me standing? Notice me not dead?" Netto tried to push Haruka off of him but she tightened her grip. Netto looked at Katya and mouthed 'help me.'

"Ya know...hehe...uhm...HAHA!" Katya burst out laughing. Netto scowled and his mother looked up.

"I'm surprised that your father isn't here right now...isn't he worried?" Katya stopped laughing and reddened, Netto smirking from inside of Haruka's choking embrace.

"N...no. He doesn't...I dunno. I don't really care...I can take care of myself," Katya stammered.

"I'm sorry dear." Haruka released Netto and he breathed a sigh of relief.

"Mom, Katya said we could stay with her while our house is being repaired..." Netto's mother glanced at Katya.

"Dad's never home...and we have...like...three extra rooms...so...if you don't wanna stay in like a hotel or something." Haruka smiled and nodded.

"Thank you."

A few weeks later, Katya, Netto, Yaito, Meiru, Dekao, and Tohru were hanging out at Yaito's place. All of the damage to her home had been repaired...what little damage the house had. Security and fire fighting programs had put out most of the cyber fires before any real damage could occur.

"Man...school starts tomorrow," Dekao sighed.

"Eigth grade. Should be fun, since we're gonna be one year older," Meiru said optimistically.

"I'm still younger, though," Katya mumbled.

"That means more homework," Netto groaned. Rockman snickered.

"And I'm not gonna help you this year, okay?"

"NOT OKAY!" Everyone laughed and Yaito looked at her PET.

"It's almost eight you guys..."

"Yeah I should be going." Tohru stood up and waved. "See you all tomorrow."

"Bye guys." Dekao also left, followed by Meiru, Netto, and Katya. Yaito waved to her friends as they left for their homes. Netto and Katya stopped at Katya's house and Meiru went on toward hers. Netto's house was the one that took the most damage, and all of the other houses were either completely repaired or almost fixed up.

"Back," Netto called to Haruka and he and Katya headed up the stairs to Katya's room.

"Okay. Don't stay up too late now." Katya plopped onto her bed and let out a heavy sigh. It wasn't as bad as she first thought it would be, having Netto and Haruka staying with her. The food was better then just plain sandwiches every day too...

"Katya?"

"No."

"You don't know what I was gonna ask you!"

"You're gonna do your own homework."

"Oh man...how do you always know what I'm gonna say? It's not cool." They were silent for a few minutes. Netto opened his mouth and Katya sighed.

"No."

"Then what was I gonna say?"

"I won't program Rockman so he'll want to help you with your homework."

"Why not?"

"Cause she's nicer then you."

"Didn't ask you Rock." Netto sat on the floor and looked at his PET. "Hey..."

"Netto-"

"No it's not about homework. I got mail from Enzan just now." Katya sat up and grabbed her PET.

"Way ahead of ya, Katya, I'm opening the mail now," Cyclone said. "Wonder what it is? Net Savior business?"

"Yeah." Netto scanned his e-mail. "Says we should meet him and Meijin at his house..."

"Wait...Enzan's house? Isn't that kinda odd?" Netto shrugged.

"Prolly gonna drive somewhere else."

"Sorry to send for you so late, but this is urgent."

"No prob." Katya, Netto, Enzan, and Meijin were driving to a different location from Enzan's house. Meijin didn't want people to follow the two kids to the area they were headed.

"What is it anyway?"

"It's...not safe to tell you in the car."

About a half hour later, the group arrived at a large grey brick building. Once inside, Meijin led the three net Saviors to a large computer room. There was a map and three devices flashing on a flat computer screen located on teh wall in front of them.

"What's going on then? Another attack?" Enzan asked. Netto smirked. Not even Enzan had been given any hints. Meijin shook his head.

"Not exactly."

"You found it...," Katya whispered. Netto and Enzan turned to face the girl, who was touching a smaller computer screen. Her fingers flew across the keyboard as she typed in a few things. "I can't believe it. When do we leave?"

"Immediately."

"What? Found what?" Netto asked, frustrated.

"We've found Storm's operating base."

Ahh! It's been forever since I wrote the last chapter! Next one...now...I guess. XP Oh! And those attacks that you gad Cyclone use in your fic, CFS, were so kick ass! I'm gonna use them in chapter 27 if it's okay...I'm not too good at thinking up awesome attacks. XP

Chapter Twenty Six: Into the Base

"I still can't believe that it's been right in front of us this whole time...," Katya said as she, Netto, and Enzan crowded around the keyboard. A revolving 3D picture of Net City was in the center of the screen. Katya punched in a few buttons and a part of the city was highlighted and blown up so that they could see ithe area close up. She pressed a few more keys and the buildings disappeared, revealing an underground tunnel that was carefully hidden. The image was fuzzy and not very clear due to cloaking programs made to hide the base.

"That's been under the city? But we've scanned the whole thing millions of times!" Cyclone said, annoyed. Katya shrugged.

"Well, what are we waiting for then? Let's Plug In," Netto said impatiently. Meijin frowned and walked up to join them at the keyboard.

"It's not going to be that easy. As you can see, the image isn't very clear because of the tight security and cloaking programs that are planted in the base. I'm sure that it will affect communications with your navis as well...you won't be able to send them battle chips as quickly as you need to."

"If our navis knock out the viruses then we should be able to communiacte just fine," Enzan said slowly. "But it will be hard to get them into the base without being detected."

"That's where these come in." Meijin pushed a few buttons on the keyboard and the map disappeared. A small 3D picture of an orb shaped device flashed into the screen. The image was blown up so that it was easier to see and three of the exact same device materialized on a counter beside the Net Saviors.

"Are these...?"

"Cloaking devices. They will get you and your navis into the bases without much trouble. Your devices will only work for ten minutes before they run out of energy and turn off, so you will have to use it wisely. Your navis', however, will last much longer."

"Wait...there's a base in the human world?" Netto asked, confused.

"Duh. I was part of it, remember?" Katya said, her voice starting out loud and annoyed and ending soft and ashamed. Everyone was quiet for a few minutes. Enzan cleared his throat, ending the awkward silence.

"Uhm...so do you have a program for our navis?" Meijin nodded and pushed a few buttons.

"Put your PET's in the slots to my right and I'll download the cloaking device into packs that will be located on their backs. You can always take the program out after the mission...it's not perminant." Enzan, Netto, and Katya nodded and placed their PET's in the slots that Meijin pointed to.

Not even a half hour later, Rockman, Blues, and Cyclone arrived at the building that hid the enterance to Storm's operating base. The packs on Cyclone and Rockman's backs hadn't changed in their looks, but Blues had a red and black pack on his back that resembled Rockman's. The navis glanced at each other before silently slipping into the building.

"Woah, this place is huge," Cyclone whispered.

"Yeah, be careful. Kzzt-communications are gettin a bit fuzzy-kzzt-and we may lose contact with you in a bit...so take-kzzt-out the viruses as fast as you possibly can," Katya's voice said softly, crackling with interference. Cyclone nodded.

"Of course." The three navis proceded to search the building, eventually finding an elevator. Once they were under the building, All three of the navis activated their cloaking devices. They could see other cloaked navis, so it was easy for them to stick together for the most part. "This is it..."

Meanwhile, Katya, Netto, and Enzan had pinpointed the location of the human Storm base and had managed to get inside of the building. It was an old abandoned office building that was many stories high. The top of the building had hazy smoke shimmering around it and the upper floor's windows wreen't visible.

"We've lost communications with our navis...we're on our own with this," Enzan said, glancing at his PET. Katya and Netto nodded.

"Let's go then." Netto hooked the device onto his vest and disappeared. Katya and Enzan shrugged and did the same. They all slipped into the building and made their way up to the top floor.

About ten minuted later, the three kids made it to the second to last floor. They hadn't taken the elevator for fear that they would be detected, but it had wasted their cloaking time.

"Damn. Why don't these work longer?" Katya muttered, throwing her device on the floor.

"We should keep moving," Enzan said. "Standing here won't get us anywhere."

"Sir...we have company." A male navi knelt in front of the shadowed man inside of a large room at the top of a building. The navi had a very muscular figure. He had grey plates of armour over his chest, on his legs from the knees down, and on his arms from his elbows down to his finger tips. He had cape-like wings that wrapped around his neck and slanted down his back, ending at his hips. His helmet was like a human's baseball cap with the top of it cut off. His messy black hair was one of the features that made him a very handsome navi, along with his dark solomn eyes that always made it seem like he could read your mind.

"I knew that this time would come. As soon as Burnerman was deleted I knew it was only a matter of time," a voice said coldly. The navi looked up, his mouth twisted in a pleased smile.

"I did succeed in taking a hostage tonight." The man in the chair stood and walked to the large tinted window. He turned to face the navi again, his expression hidden by shadow. His figure was tall, covered by a billowing cape that was wrapped around his shoulders.

"Good. The girl's father?" The navi nodded and the man smiled. Stepping out of the shadows, he moved swiftly to a computer that stood in the center of the room and put up the hood of his cape. The man was actually quite young, in his mid-twenties. No one would ever guess that he was that age, for his appearance aged him. Shiny welts, shimmering with blood and puss, dotted the area from his cheekbones down to his collarbone, suggesting that he had been in some sort of horrific accident many years ago.

"It's just a shame that Tremor turned out to be so weak," the man said, almost sympathetically.

"I had to eliminate him. He was only getting in my way." When his Net Op nodded, obviously satisfied with that explination, he went on. "The children...their navis are in the area. I can sense them."

"Cloaking devices...nothing we can't handle. Go and take care of them, Fury. I will deal with the pesky kids." Fury nodded, stood, and bowed beofore disappearing from the room with a smug smile on his face.

Not a minute later, Netto, Enzan, and Katya burst into the room. The man was standing once again by the window, staring out in deep consternation. He turned to face the kids as they lined up in front of him.

"How nice of you to join me...but it would have been more polite to knock."

"You might as well come without a fight. We've got this place surrounded," Enzan said solomly. The man laughed and Katya shifted her shoulders uncomfortably at the familiar sound. Familiar? Where had she heard it before?

"There are only three of you. Don't try to intimidate me...it won't work," he said, amused at Enzan's remark. "Why do you insist in foiling my plans?"

"Because...it's what's right," Katya said slowly. What was he getting at?

"Perhaps you have been wrong all of this time? Maybe what you believe is good is really evil...and what is evil is really good?"

"What're you gettin at?" Netto demanded. Katya half smiled, glad that he was thinking the same things that she was.

"Leave now, don't tell anyone about this place, withdraw your navis, and I will let you go without a fight."

"Not a chance," the three kids said in unison. The man's voice suddenly turned ice cold.

"So be it then." He lowered his hood and Katya looked away.

"I knew it."

ooh, drama. Can't wait to see the battle. Wierd that SciLab can create all sorts of powerful navis and programs, yet when they make cloaking devices, they only last for ten minutes I kid, it makes sense for them to have a time limit. I don't mind if you use the attacks I gave Cyclone. It feels kinda cool to see someone using something I made ^^

Yay for Chapter 27! Omg...this one and a few more...then no more story. *cry* But I'll start another one...yeah that's what I'll do. YAY!

Chapter Twenty Seven: Katya's...Brother?!?

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!?" Katya said angrily. Hot tears welled in her eyes as the man's smile widened.

"I'm giving you what you deserve...finally. I've been waiting so long for this. You wouldn't believe how much I went though-"

"You wouldn't believe how much we went through!" A few tears escaped down her cheeks.

"Can someone explain what's going on?" Netto said angrily.

Meanwhile, Fury, Cyclone, Rockman, and Blues were fighting in the net. Fury was stronger then they had anticipated...and even with their cloaking devices on Fury could tell where they were.

"How's he doing that? It's gettin annoying!" Cyclone moaned after Fury had come up from behind and kicked her into a wall for the third time. Rockman started throwing punches out at the black navi, but Fury blocked every one and knocked the blue navi onto his back.

"He's really fast...I don't know how he can see us."

"It's gotta be a program...," Blues muttered. Fury smirked and disappeared from in front of the three navis. "What? Where'd he go..." The black navi appeared behind Blues with a charged up attack. Cyber lightning struck Blues in the back and broke his cloaking device, sending him flying into a wall. Rockman turned off his device, Cyclone soon reappearing as well. It obviously wasn't working.

"Okay...let's team up and attack at once," Rockman said to Cyclone. She nodded and ran at Fury. The black navi smiled, expecting her to try and attack him from the front. When she was an arms length away from him, Cyclone jumped over Fury and landed behind him. She swung her leg out and tried to trip him, but the black navi was too fast. He jumped over the swift kick and nailed Cyclone in the face with a blast of electricity.

Rockman jumped at Fury from behind, only to end up face first on the ground next to Cyclone when the navi moved out of the way. He and Cyclone sat up and rubbed their helmets. Fury didn't wait for his opponents to stand before sending a tornado attack spiraling toward them.

"Eep!" Cyclone forced herself to stand and grabbed Rockman's hand. She pulled him out of the tornado's path seconds before the whirlwind tore up the ground where they were sitting. Normally I can absorb those...but I don't wanna get infected with a dark virus of some sort, she thought miserably. Was there any way to stop Fury?

"Thanks. Let's get this guy now," Rockman said, interrupting Cyclone's thoughts.

"Oh, uhh okay." She looked around. "Hmm...get your buster ready. I have an idea." Rockman nodded and his arm formed into the gun. Fury narrowed his eyes. What was that crazy navi doing?

My Master said to watch out for her...but she doesn't seem that strong. This is easy... After reassuring himself, Fury's left arm spread into a black shimmering sword. He swiped the air in front of him before charging at Cyclone.

"Okay, here we go! Time to see the power of the wind!!" Cyclone said, grinning. She formed a ball of wind in her palm and tossed it onto the ground in front of her. It melted into the floor before creating a huge gust of wind aimed at Fury. The Storm Navi was picked up off of his feet and thrown into a wall with incredible force.

"What...? Impossible...she couldn't have hit me!" As he was standing up, Fury was pelted in the stomach with several Mega Buster shots. He fell to his knees and Cyclone skidded to a stop beside Rockman. She also had her buster out and now pointed it at Fury's chest.

"Give us one good reason why we shouldn't delete you."

"I'm a part of you...you can't delete your own brother."

"Try me." Rockman glanced at Cyclone questioningly when suddenly a cold voice echoed throughout the area where the navis were.

"Synchro Chip, Slot In!" Fury grinned and disappeared.

"Katya, you never tell us anything!" Netto screamed at his friend. Katya turned her tear streaked face away from him and stared at the ground. "I thought you trusted us!!"

"I...do..."

"You see how much trouble you cause?" Fury had cross-fused with his Net Op and now R.Fury was standing in front of the three Net Saviors, pondering how to take care of them. Katya silently kicked herself for not noticing that it wasn't fog that was surrounding this building's top floors but a dimensional area. "I was sixteen when you were born. Didn't like you from the first day you could talk. Always correcting my math...always correcting my grammar. Father liked you more then me."

"That's not...true..." Katya kicked herself again. The boy that stood in front of her wasn't just another person...it was her brother. Her brother that had gotten into a terrible accident at the lab with her father...who everyone thought was dead. But here he was...the cause of all of her troubles...of all her pain. And she didn't blame him.

"So it's okay for him to tell us but my best friend won't even mention that she had a brother?" Netto said angrily. Katya knew that he was really mad at her now...Enzan didn't even try to get Netto to back off. Obviously he was a bit miffed as well.

Wait...best friend?

"You remember Katya. I was ninteen, you were three. You don't remember me that well...but you really got on my nerves. I didn't like you at all."

"Trevor..." He ignored his sister and went on.

"That day, when I went to work with father? I wanted to prove to him I was as good as you. I wanted to make you mess up more then anything...you didn't know what it felt like to be wrong. And I hated it. So I fixed your upgraded PET. When you turned it on, it was supposed to not work. Fry the computer inside. It didn't work though...not the way I planned it.

"The PET wasn't supposed to explode. But it worked out better that way. You have had to live with the fact that I was 'dead' because of you. You thought you screwed up so bad that you killed me. I payed for it...but now I have never been happier with where I am."

"Trevor...," Katya sobbed, "I don't know why you hate me so bad...but all of that hate's gonna destroy you and your navi. I swear on it...I swear on it."

"Hah...," R.Fury scoffed. "We'll see about that." He held out his hand and formed a ball of black electricity in his palm. Katya grabbed her PET and inserted her Synchro Chip. Netto and Enzan did the same. The three kids soon stood in front of R.Fury, cross-fused with their own navis. R.Fury smirked and unleashed the ball of energy.

Chapter Twenty Eight: Battle

The ball of lightning energy hit R.Blues in the side of the head and knocked him through the wall of the room and out into the hallway. R.Fury charged attack after attack and started to throw the electricity everywhere. R.Cyclone and R.Rockman dove behind the computer that stood in the middle of the room.

"Great...just great," R.Rockman muttered.

"I'm sorry...I should have told you..."

"It's kinda too late for that now...sometimes I wonder why...oh whatever." R.Rockman stood up, frustrated.

"Hey, what're you doing?!?" She grabbed his arm "You can't go out there, he's-"

"I can take care of myself. Leave me alone!" R.Rockman snapped. He wrenched his arm from R.Cyclone's grasp and jumped out to face R.Fury.

"Katya...clear your mind," Cyclone said. R.Cyclone shook her head.

"It's not that simple..."

"You're letting your feelings cloud your judgement! Ive been telling you this ever since we came back to Dentech!!" R.Cyclone cringed as a blast of electricity hit R.Rockman and sent him flying.

"That's what got me in this mess...lying to myself...and to my friends..." R.Fury knocked R.Rockman out cold with a solid blow to his head and turned to face the computer behind which R.Cyclone hid.

"Come out and play sis..." He blasted a hole in the computer. R.Cyclone jumped out of the way and landed on the floor behind R.Fury. She kicked his feet out from under him and blasted him across the room with the water attack that her buster gun had.

"Netto, you okay?" R.Cyclone knelt beside her friend and helped him sit up.

"Yeah...I'm fine," R.Rockman muttered, shrugging R.Cyclone's supporting hands off of his shoulders. He stood up shakily. R.Cyclone swallowed and also stood up. They turned to face R.Fury, who had recovered from his sister's attack and was ready to dish out more of his own. He paused and looked from R.Cyclone to R.Rockman, then back to R.Cyclone again. After a few seconds he smirked.

"So it looks like you've got yourself a boyfriend."

"I'm not her boyfriend," Netto said angrily at the same time Katya muttered that he they weren't dating.

"We'll see then...," Fury's voice said. R.Fury nodded.

"Electric Shot!" He screamed, holding both hands up to the ceiling. The whole room charged with electricity as he unleashed the attack.

"That can't be good then...," R.Rockman said nervously.

"Netto, I think this would be a good time to run," Rockman told his Net Op. R.Rockman backed away from his opponent.

"Yeah...come on Katya." He gestured for R.Cyclone to follow him and headed for the door. Pieces of the ceiling started to rain down and the building began to shake from the magnitude of the attack that R.Fury was charging.

"You can't run..." The cross-fused navi laughed wickedly.

"Come on Katya!" R.Rockman was supporting R.Blues and they were already halfway to the elevator. She started to run after them, dodging bits of debris as it rained down on her. R.Cyclone made it halfway down the hallway to the elevator before she got hit in the head with a rather large piece of plaster that she couldn't avoid.

"Dammit!!" She said loudly. She tried to stand but failed as another piece of ceiling smacked into her head. R.Rockman slid out of the elevator just as the doors were closing, and R.Blues was now forced to ride all of the way down to the first floor since he remained inside.

"Barrier slot in..." A protective dome formed over R.Rockman and R.Cyclone and the debris eventually stopped falling as the attack ended. The barrier fizzled out as the smoke cleared and R.Fury stood, fists clenched, in the middle of the room.

"How did you manage to survive that?!?"

"If I told you then it wouldn't be any fun," R.Rockman replied. R.Fury smirked.

"Well you won't survive this. Lightning Twist!!" He cracked his knuckles and formed a ball of wind in his palm.

Chapter Twenty Nine: Sacrifice

R.Cyclone opened her eyes and blinked. She rolled over to her stomach and sat up on her knees, scanning the situation. R.Fury was charging another attack, R.Rockman was just standing there. What the hell was Netto doing?!?

"Netto, you'd better move...that attack's gonna come right for you! The energy readings are off the chart...it's the most powerful attack I've seen in a long time," Rockman warned. R.Rockman hesitated, then moved to the left. R.Fury, having anticipated his maneuver, unleashed his attack at R.Rockman's new position.

"That didn't work Rockman...," Netto told his navi in a panick.

"Katya don't do anything too stupid..."

"..." R.Cyclone pushed herself off of the ground. She ran in front of R.Rockman, skidded to a stop, and held out her hands, creating a barrier of watery wind in front of them. The attack hit the shield and acted as though it was going to break the material...then it faded out.

"Katya?!?"

"Stay away from Netto you jackass!!!" R.Cyclone screamed. She absorbed the power from R.Fury's last attack and clenched her fists. "Cyclone Blast!!!!" A huge ammount of blueish grey energy burst from R.Cyclone's hands and twisted into a large funnel. The attack smashed into the surprised R.Fury and R.Cyclone's Cross Fusion fizzled out from the intensity of the attack that she had just given. R.Rockman stopped his Cross Fusion as he knelt beside the unconsious Katya.

"My gawd you're stupid..."

"...ugh...I know..." Katya's brown eyes fluttered open and she blinked. "That was awesome though," she said with a smile.

"Yeah." Netto helped her into a sitting position.

"... ...that attack took a lot of my and Cyclone's power." Netto blinked and blushed as she leaned against his shoulder for support. "... ... ..."

"...if you die I'll kill you...," Netto said. He fought back tears...this couldn't be happening. Katya looked toward the spot where R.Fury used to be. Nothing was left...nothing.

"So...I was the one who killed him," Katya whispered.

"No." The voice made both of the kids jump. A shimmering figure stood behind them...a boy with tousled brown hair and green eyes. He was tall and very thin...looked like he would be very good in sports such as basketball and soccer. He wore a blue t-shirt and sports shorts with tennis shoes and a baseball cap. On his hat was Fury.EXE's navi symbol...the same as Cyclone's only the tornado was facing the opposite way.

"Trevor..." Katya's eyes filled with tears. The shimmering image of her brother held out his hand to help Katya stand up. Netto reluctantly let her go and Katya took Trevor's hand. The shimmering white light that surrounded Trevor also surrounded Katya, and when it faded only the ten year old girl remained. Netto stood up and walked the two paces it took to stand beside Katya.

"You okay?"

"Yeah...he...saved me. And Cyclone...and...uhh...he's gone...gone..." She started to cry, her tears flowing freely now. "I'm so sorry about not telling you Netto...I should have told you...you're the best friend I've ever had...I'm so sorry!" Katya turned and hugged Netto tightly, sobbing into his shoulder. Netto turned a bright red and hugged her back awkwardly.

Suddenly Netto's PET beeped, the indication that someone was trying to call him. Katya reluctantly let go of Netto and wiped her tears as he grabbed his PET. An image of Enzan appeared on the screen.

"I don't know what you guys did, but everything's back to normal here. The Dimensional Area around the top floors is gone now and communications are back online. You okay?" Katya and Netto glanced at each other then liiked back down at Enzan.

"Yeah. Mission accomplished..."

"What time is it?"

"Like...three in the morning."

"Haha, Netto, you and Katya had to get up in three hours for school!"

"Three flippin hours?!? AHH!"

Chapter Thirty: School...Again...

"Ahh...it's only been a week since school started and I already feel swamped!" Netto complained. He, Katya, and Meiru were hanging out at Katya's house that Saturday.

"How do you feel swamped when you've only done one of the five homework assignments given out this week?!?" Meiru asked smugly.

"That's one too many assignments..."

"Yup...school's a pain...," Katya groaned.

"Why are you complaining? You're getting an A in everything so far!"

"That doesn't mean I like doing it!"

"Do you two have to fight every single second you're around each other?"

"Yes!" Katya and Netto said in unison. Meiru rolled her eyes and Rockman, Roll, and Cyclone tried to muffle their laughter from in their PET's. After a few seconds everyone sighed, bored.

"So what now?" Cyclone said lazily.

"Things have been so boring since Storm was defeated...you almost hope for another crime to occur...," Katya muttered.

"Yup."

"I guess..."

Silence for a few seconds.

"Wanna get ice cream?"

"Yay!"

"Food?"

"That'll get Netto going..."

"Shut up Rock!"

"Hehe..."

"Wait...what were we doing?"

"Something about food..."

"Muffins!!!"

"NO MORE MUFFINS!"

"Sorry geez..."

"So...ice cream?"

"Oh yeah."

"Wait!"

"What?"

"I forget..."

"Can we get something to eat?"

"Uhm...okay!"

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Ohmygosh this is insane...let's go." The three kids grabbed their PET's and raced each other down the stairs of Katya's house. The world was safe, but everyone knows that you can't count on the world to stay saved for long...
