| I'm just wondering but since I've never played the japanese version of Megaman Zero, do all the names(besides Megaman X) stay the same? Like Ciel or Cerveau? |

| The resistance members' (except for Elpizo) names are all the same, but I'm not sure about the Neo Arcadian bosses you fight. |

Elpizo become Elpis, Harpuia is Halperia, Fefnir is Farnible, Devilbat Silt is Hellbat Silt, and Dr. Weil is Dr. Bairu/Bile/Vile. That's all I remember at the moment... ^^;;

Their first names aren't, but "Leviathan" and "Phantom" stay the same. |

Some boss names are altered abit, and although I have no idea of the ENG names of Z3, since I only have it in JAP on me GBA...
for instance, Herculious Anchortus, or Herakuriosu Ankaatousu
A more significant one is the fact that in Z2 both Kuwagust and Heraculious are called 'Anchus' as a last name, wich is a rather poor translation, as is Phoenix Magnion, wich was supposed to be Phoenick Magmanion(fuiinikku magumanion), also some minor flaws in the EU version: Ultimate Form: Defemse, while at all other 9 forms it says defense...very very gay, and ofcourse Ciel saying 'Devise' on Kuwagust's mission, properly would have been Device...
also, my standard codename is 'God' (goddo) in Rockman Zero(all 4) wich you get when beating alot of missions on S rank, and have an average of points around 96~100, however the title 'GOD' is nowhere to be seen in the EU versions, because people might find that shocking...pansy american censorship >.<
also the fact that there is NO blood spilled in the EU/USA versions... states the fact how very gay censorship is...

I was always under the impression that Ciel, being French for "sky," was meant to be pronounced like "Shel," meaning... Shel was probably an old mistranslation of her name, even though it's Ciel in Japan as well. I'm not stating this as fact, since I... well, don't know French, nor do I keep up with the Zero series that much... but that's just what I thought.

It is, because her name is written as Sherru. Capcom vs. SNK Chaos also writes her name as Shell in the English version, so I guess it's safe to assume it's the same in both Japanese and English. |

Ciel is written different from the word Shell in kana,
while SHIERU is Ciel, SHIeRU is Shell, a small e sign...little difference, Shell is not written SHIERU but SHIeRU.
At any rate, I picked this up while playing MGS2, where you venture through the big shell, wich is also displayed in kana.
