*warning* may contain some spoilers*

- Has an very good in depth story mode

- every navi from BN1-BN5

-[spoil:910ccd69b7]forte cross rockman[/spoil:910ccd69b7]( i wish)

- bass(playable)

- a good guy story and a bad guy story

- free mode that lets you play as navis that have been unlocked(there could be some problems with animations with every chip for every navi but solo navis/darkloids rarely use chips so how about they have attacks instead of using chips)

- Souls

- 3D mode on and off the net

-(you make think this is stupid but....) Dimensional areas like when you are hunting around in the human world you could walk into a building and it be a trap, in the show you put your battle chips in before the battle so in the game you would be able to select 15 chips.

- a calander system that has monthly tournaments.(in between missions)

- team battles ( you control MM and the game has AI for your partner)

-liberate missions( MMBN5 but redone for this game)

- on PS2

Please post your own ideas as well

Yeesh, why just wish all these features on NT2? They're the same myriad of features every other fanboy already wishes on every single BN game.

While there's nothing wrong with sharing your ideas, we usually lock threads like these because they generate no actual discussion, so we'll do this: ethier turn this into a general idea thread for a Transmission 2 or watch Blues change into Forte. (Locked) Thanks.

Please specify that next time.
Whether that was your intention or not, you did not make that clear in your post, so it looked like you were just showing your own ideas.
However, now that you've specified that the topic will remain open although I suggest that you change the title or add something to the original post, so people will know to post their ideas.

If anyone ever made a game like that, then that person would be my new best friend for life, or at least until another one came out. Laughing

POSSIBLE MAJOR SPOILERS TO A NUMBER OF EXE GAMES BELOW

I guess I might as well share my ideas for this kind of game... because I've had a couple... first off, if there was ever another side-scrolling EXE game, I think it would be much more profitable if they dropped the Classic gameplay style and EXE-ified the X games. That means gameplay is fast, you can climb walls, dash, etc. etc. Hell, throw in ducking too. Why not?

With that said, I think it'd also be a good choice to toss in Blues as a playable character as well. Rockman will pretty much simulate X, and Blues will simulate Zero (in gameplay style, that is). I tried to consider someone who could play the role of Axl, but I think leaving it at two people is fine. (You pick a character before you enter a level; not play through the entire game as one... and no switching in stages.)

Strangely enough, when I was brainstorming this little pipe-dream of a game, the entire game was an EXE-version of MegaMan 8... just because I like that game. (Heck... maybe the same bosses too, but in navi form, of course... or put in pre-existing navis for some, like Windman for Tenguman, Coloredman for Clownman, or Planetman for Astroman.) The intro stage became Net City, and after you play it as the intro stage, you can come back to visit shops for battle chips and other upgrades, battle bosses you've already defeated, and other nifty stuff. Of course, it'd be in 2-D, but you can enter doors and such just like you would in MMZ.

Battle chip system would pretty much remain as is, though I think the Custom Gauge needs to fill up a lot faster. It was way too slow in Transmission... it was pretty much impossible to get another selection of chips during a boss fight without the aid of a FullCust item...

I considered Soul Unisons as well... basically, you just gain a Soul when you defeat a boss. Then Rockman can just change into that Soul anytime in a level, and it alters things all around (like Colored Soul would become that Thunder Claw-esque weapon for his normal buster shot so that he can swing across pits.) As for Blues... I figure defeating a boss as him would reward him a new kind of sword (swords, of course, being his default weapon that he can equip separately), and along with that, possibly even a technique like Zero received from bosses. But you had to actually finish a boss with that character to get the Soul/weapon/tech, meaning... yeah, multiple play-throughs to get 100%. (But since the game wouldn't be massively long, multiple play-throughs wouldn't be that bad... it'd be like X8 was.)

You can set up two separate chip folders for Rockman and Blues to avoid packing in unneccessary chips (for example, the Sword chip would pretty much work exactly the same as Blues' standard attack (maybe including combo slashes), just with limited uses and more power, and maybe a little slower too). Also, since it's X gameplay in a Classic game, some alterations would need to be made to the level layouts to avoid easily just climbing up walls or dash jumping to get everywhere... like for the parts where you need to swing with the Thunder Claw? The platforms could be lined along the sides with electricity or spikes or something so you can't just climb up them... of course, for someone like Blues who won't get a swinging weapon, he has Zero's double jump and will still be able to manuever the area just fine.

I didn't intend on making Blues playable until half-way through the game, where you confront someone (can't really be Duo anymore; he's huge now... maybe Colonel) before getting the remaining 4 navis to fight. When you finish the game and start a New Game +, you can then play the game with Blues from the start and get the weapons of the first 4 navis. (Defeating them again in Net City is simply for chips and increasing rank.)

Storyline? I didn't really come up with anything there. Let's just say the 8 navis are actually good guys, but Dark Chips infected them, and you gotta go through and cure them or something... and that's why you get their Souls/weapons when you defeat them.

I also wanted to incorporate some secret UraNet levels that you can access under certain means... it'd be 3 or 4 really hard levels (like a Wily castle) with some additional bosses to beat (meaning another play-through to get all of the Souls/weapons...). On the final UraNet level, if you're playing as Rockman, you have to take down Forte... doing so gets you ForteCross Rockman. On the other hand, Blues would face Serenade... and get MuraMasa Blues. These'll act as separate playable characters and will probably lose some advantages (like Souls), but they'll make up in that with intense power in areas I haven't thought to distinguish yet.

There's plenty I haven't brainstormed on yet... and I probably don't plan to, since it's not like this game is gonna happen. But, eh... it was a fun hour or two of my life when I thought of it all.

This kid's first idea wouldn't have been all that bad if only he turned out to be one of those guys that played a game, liked it, but didn't have the necessary consolle to play such game hence wishing for its next chapter to come out on his (cruddy) system. When I wanted to play KH and the X games I bought a PS2, I didn't wish for them to come on GC, DanielW4444.

But back on topic, if you want to throw in a specified gameplay, I'm sorry but you MUST support it with a working storyline, no "I want to play as Blues and Rockman 'coz it's cool", I want to know HOW can you make the story work with such a sort of gameplay.

Unless you use a SonicAdventure-esque style of character selection, I don't really see any other possible choice. But then again, that'd make the game so not-EXE style.

Is Transmission itself not already "not-so-EXE style?"

I think that NT was a great game but instead of making a sequel they should make an adventure game or a MMORPG. I think that the reason none have been attempted yet is because it was so unpopular and it got horrid reviews (from what I have heard).

*is ignored* Eh, whatever.

Anyway, the reviews were justified... Transmission just isn't a really good game. It had a really nice idea and a lot of potential, but it was executed really horribly... not to mention the English localization was just flat-out shoddy.

Hmm... I'm not quite sure what point you're making (or who you're even talking to), but... making Blues an additional playable character is hardly unrealistic, and it works into any storyline incredibly easily. Rockman and Blues work together plenty of times (games, anime, manga... they're pretty much the two main characters). It's as simple as "they're both official protectors of the peace, and they're... protecting the peace." What else does it need?

Personally, I think Transmission did badly because it was a console game, when most EXE-ers are used to portable games, but as a GBA title, it would clash with Zero.

Have you ever played Viewtiful Joe by Capcom? All the extra characters had pratically the same story line over and over, and was done great. You don't need to always have a grand storyline to fit in other characters. Razz

Just do the same storyline again and again and fit in different characters wuth different abilities and different ways to approch gameplay and, guess what? You get a totally different game. Razz

Playing as different characters is possible and can be done anyway they want to. However if I see a DA I'll gouge my eyes out with spoons.

to the person who wondered how to play as bass, free mode would be similar to a wrestling game, when you beat a chacharacter he becomes playable in free mode.

the best idea i can come up with is when entering a 2 vs 2 battle(in story mode) you could chose either megaman or protoman(or someone else) and the one not picked would be played by CPU but in free mode it could be played by either CPU or a real player.

The game would be so much easier with Soul Unsion...

and the dimensional area trap idea is like in Riviera: The Promise land for the GBA, you encounter someone and you need to bring 4 items into battle...

and if it was for the PS2, the controls would be cramped... or would it..
