Not allowed to post...

For the past three days (literally), I've been trying to update my fic in the Fanfiction Library; but after I press the 'Submit' button all I get is this 403 screen that says 'You are not allowed access to posting.php on this server'.

I can post anywhere else on the forum just fine. But once I try to post in the Fanfiction Library I get that message.

Little help here, please?

Is the post very long? I think Core had this problem once. He split the fic into two posts, and it worked fine.

Yup, there is a character limit for the posts. I had to split one that I made into two parts, as Ryouko said, when I had that problem. Ended up being a double post, but it had a very good explaination for being so due to the character limit. The limit is there to keep someone from spamming up the board with one huge post, but is a bit of a hassel when it comes to posting story chapters. But it is something that can't be helped.

One question--what is this maximum limit? Shouldn't there be some way to indicate how long a post is and if it lies within the limit of the characters?

Strangely enough, as long as my post is under 1100 words (I'll change word processors later and get an exact character count) it'll go through. Anything larger and I get the 403 error, which doesn't make much sense since I know I've make posts over 1100 words in the F.L. before.

It would not go by words, though. :P If anything, it's going by number of characters.

I had this problem once, but instead of bringing up an error screen, my post just stopped at the limit.
