Do Dark Chips lust? Do they even have genders? Kindly do not use 'gay' as an insult of objects you find unnecessary and stupid.

Have rethought. The only reason I'd use one would be to invoke a mind-numbing angsty chapter in a fanfic in which all the main characters pair up in response to this tragedy, but...eh, no. :P

Depends on the situation. If I had no more chips except a dark chip in a tournament and my navi was being pummeled, I just surrender. In a life threatening situation to save others, perhaps.

Also, WindSoul, there are people in this forum who are homosexual, bisexual, heterosexual, or even asexual who can get offended when you misuse the word "gay" like that. I do not ask you as a moderator to refrain from using it like that, but as a member of a Gay-Straight-Alliance.

On to the topic of Dark Chips, personally in the games I have never used them, but if I were in a place where the events from the games, manga, and anime were real I'm not so sure what I would do. More then likely I would model the navi I'd have after myself, mixed with an animal of course, so the question would be if I would use such a thing on myself. Those that know me know that I will do about anything to save my friends, and given that the navi would be based on me I think the choice would be his rather then mine to use such a thing. A navi and operator work as a team, and as a team they have to make choices together as to what will be the best action to take.

So my thoughts, no I would not use such a chip. True strenght comes from within, not due to a chip that is suppose to enhance ones abilities.

Having seen some of the strongest Navis on the face of the earth reduced to a withering mass for want of a dose of power that eventually kills them has convinced me that using Dark Chips just isn't a good idea.

So no, I wouldn't use one.

After all, using a shortcut like a Dark Chip to win a match just results in an empty victory, since you and your Navi didn't win it by your own wit and skill, but by surrendering to the powers of darkness. And I don't know about you, but I'd rather earn my victory.

Besides, a super-evil Mettaur wouldn't be a good thing, would it?

I rather raise my navi karmra level than lowering it and beside, I love Boktai battlechip, SP navi, soul union, and Saito Batch program and these relate to high karmra level.[/spoil:58cd0212ca]

Never, because then I'd lose Searchman. And if I lost Searchman because of a dark chip, I would hunt down who ever gave me the dark chip and take them down.

In the games, only reason I was afraid to use Dark Chips was because of the terrible HP lost side effect. I also didn't want to use Dark License because it takes up all your Navi Customizer area, and I love my 50 Buster (what I call a fully upgraded Mega Buster). Other then that though, Dark Chips in the games seem pretty pointless. Sure they affect MegaMan's attitude and stuff, but the story stays the same...

I sometimes wish Dark Chips were in 4.5. It would've been interesting if you could corrupt your navi and eventually start doing evil deeds and stuff, like 2 seperate paths in the game... just an idea. If navis were real though, I think if a Dark Chip ever came my way, I would hold on to it just in case. If a time comes where both me and my navi agree on the circumstances, and both believe it is worth the victory, then I would use it only then...

I had a thought while I watched the episode "Nebula's Secret Base" today.

Ok, I noticed that not only does a Dark Chip induce the soul of darkness into a NetNavi, but the Dark Chip also serves as a means of mind control. I mean, a Dark Chip can alter a NetNavi's ability to think straight. What do you guys think?

NO. I would never take the chance of losing the tight bond between me and Navi. I would delete my Navi before I would sacrifice that much.
