Since there's a Megaman flash movie thread, What do you think is the best Megaman fancomic?

For me it's Bob and George. I like the general wackiness of it along with the occasional satire, irony, and parody. Plus I like the formula Dave uses of using the games with altered plots for story arcs and having a major villian attack every year.

I used to like Life of Wily (especilly the first major story arc) but through the infrequent updates, author changes, and lack of interesting storylines like the first one I fell out of it. Haven't gone back to it since.

Hands-down, Stardroids.net. The fact that it isn't some half-assed sprite comic with horrible plots and humor alone makes it one of the best out there, and I love the art style. Nice random strips every once in a while, too.

You can see them at their respective sites...

Stardroids: http://pages.prodigy.net/amywil/index.htm
Bob and George: http://www.bobandgeorge.com/
Life of Wily: http://www.lifeofwily.com/

I'll have to agree with Zan. Stardroids is the only Megaman-based fancomic I follow these days. Bob and George was great, for the first year or so. I haven't checked it in such a long time though.

I did always get a kick out of Plague's fancomic over a BnG. I wonder if he still updates.

Stage Select happens to be my favorite right now. The artist updates regularly and makes a habit of beating up Forte. What more can you ask for?

My favorite FanComic has to be...Madness in Red. I really liked how it came out. The first time I read it, I loved it. http://www.dzarchive.com/iragination/
It was really good. I read it way back when I first became a Megaman fan.

Being a member of the BnG community first and foremost, I can assure that yes, Plaugue is still around and yes, he does still do his Misadventures.

and since I like so many fancomics, it's only right that I do a top ten... Though I may be a little biased since at least four of these are done by people who I am in regular contact with. :puku:

1. Stardroids.net by Terra X
2. Stage Select: When Masters Attack by Iris
3. Reploid Hunter Iris Code: Megaman X by CardCaptor Schlueter
4. Megaman X: Down Time by Sephi Kitsune(AKA Chick-Netto)
5. Various Comics by Metal Shark Player
6. Zenigame's Unnamed Comic by Dark Lord Zenigame
7. Bob and George: The Comic Strip by Dave Anez
8. MS Paint Masterpieces by Disgruntled Ferret
9. Dysfunction by Kittykaboom
10. Sakurai Diaries by Azur-*Bricked*

Eh, sure, I don't see why not. Though if a mod or admin shows up and asks me to remove these, I will do so without hesitation.

http://pages.prodigy.net/amywil/index.htm
Stardroids.net - Random Megaman comics mostly centered around the classic and X series. Mostly comedic, sometimes(Like right now), VERY serious.
- Hand Drawn

http://marle.chronotrigger.com/stageselect/latest.shtml
Stage Select: When Masters Attack - Comic mainly about Forte and his quest to retrieve a time traveling remote. Lots of unique characterizations(Look at Starman and Plantman if you don't believe me).
- Hand Drawn

http://www.bobandgeorge.com/Fancomics/Iris/Iris.html?1
Reploid Hunter Iris Code: Megaman X(Hosted by Bob and George) - Iris comes back from the dead to deliever some serious hurt on Sigma's zombie armies. Warning, lots of obscure anime references in this one. Also, be prepared to come face to face with blatant Anzu Mazaki fanboyism...
- Sprite Comic

http://marle.chronotrigger.com/stageselect/downtime/latest.shtml
Megaman X: Down Time(Hosted by Stage Select) - X, Zero, Spider, Marino, Massimo, Cinnamon and Axl deal with random troubles during their R&R period.
- Hand Drawn

http://forums.bobandgeorge.com/viewtopic.php?t=45
Various Comics by Metal Shark Player(Link leads to Bob and George Forum thread)
Very, VERY random comics. Also, no archive. You're just gonna have to flip through the thread pages to find them all.
- Some Hand Drawn, some Sprite Comics

http://comics.captainn.net/comics/000004/001.png
Zenigame's Unnamed Comic by Dark Lord Zenigame(Link leads to first comic)
Story that starts a little before the third Megaman game and continues during it. A third party scientist goes to war with the eight robots of his greatest rival. Also note that the though the site where these comics are hosted is currently down, the comics themselves are not. just replace the number of the comic you're currently on with the number of the comic you wish to see in your browser's address bar.
- Sprite Comic

http://www.bobandgeorge.com/
Bob and George: The Comic Strip!
Um... Well... Let's see... Stupid Megaman, Godmoding Author, Lots of recolors, strange and improbable re-enactments of nearly every Megaman game... Oh yes, and tons of ice cream. Read at the risk of your own sanity.
- The ORIGINAL Sprite Comic

http://www.bobandgeorge.com/Subcomics/Paint/index.php?num=1
MS Paint Masterpieces by Disgruntled Ferret(Hosted by Bob and George)
The story of a robot named Megaman as told in 8-bits. Unusual but interesting retelling of the first Megaman game. Also featuring the Proto-Prototype, Polka.
- Sprite Comic

http://www.bobandgeorge.com/Subcomics/Kaboom/index.php?num=1
Dysfunction by Kittykaboom(Hosted by Bob and George)
Random adventures of a tough girl, her friend who can only speak in pictures, and a whole slew of Megaman characters and cameos. Blindingly hilarious.
- Sprite Comic

http://www.angelfire.com/comics2/azureman/SD_Archive.html
Sakurai Diaries by ????????(Currently unhosted. Link leads to Archive which is hosted on Angelfire)
Meiru and Roll decide to stop playing the innocent heroines and show what internet girl power is all about!
- Sprite Comic

Some other good ones are:

The Number 000 Blues - telling what Blues was up to during the games, currently early in the second game.

In Wily's Defense - an alternet universe where Dr. Light is an evil madman while Dr. Wily is a father and the kindly owner of a Twinky factory.

Abnormal Gravity - a mostly plotless, very well drawn comic about robot masters.

I read Bob and George and RH Iris on a regular basis, but my current favorites are Stage Select and Downtime, simply because the authors both have a knack for good humor.

Let's see...

Stage Select is good because even though it pokes fun at MegaMan, What the Robot Masters do is hilarious!

Bob and George, This is a funny one...Sorry, I haven't read this in a while.

Random Acts Of Insanity is also very funny but is updated "randomly" (hence the name).

Down Time, which is hosted by Stage Select, is actually funny considering the fact that I don't like the X series that much. :]
