I've heard alot of people complaining about the changes of the game play after exe4. Such as the new sprites and spelling and such. Also alot of people have mentioned that they prefer style change then soul unison. For me, here are the things I would like to see again in future games...

Bigger real world areas:
I was playing my brother's EXE 1 game which he has already beated once and I love the way the real world has so much to walk around and explore. The real world area seems to be smaller in EXE3 and 4 but the real world has expanded abit more in EXE5, just not as big as EXE 1.

Net areas:
Also the paths in the net area are so much like inside a comp! This feature has gone since EXE3 but they kind of bring it back in Exe 5 which I think those new paths are quite ugly. I actually like the ultra curvy paths in EXE 5 so I think they should bring it back to some areas sometimes.

Virus free areas:
Squares, they're a nice place where shops and bugfrag traders, friendly netnavis and BBS gather around and they're virus free! Also I am not really sure about this but i think there's a game where all the homepage are virus free as well.

Metrorail:
If there is a metromail for EXE5, you don't have to walk to END area all the way through ACDC and Oran area if you jacked in through Netto's PC... Sad

Job bbs:
I miss doing jobs when I was playing EXE 5, actually my job was to complete liberal missions but it was more fun doing jobs from bbs.

I'd love to see them bring Style Changes back, as well as:

-larger/more Net areas. Gimme some place to explore!

-Squares. Why should I have to hunt down merchants lounging around the Net when they can all be in the towns?

-Chip Add, a feature that was removed along with Style Changes to make way for the "unison" button.

-the ability to have 5 of one chip in your folder, simply because I'm tired of seeing all those weird PAs that use 4 chips when their previous versions used 5. You can select 5 chips at a time, it makes sense to have the really powerful PAs take up your whole selection.

-an easier way to get money! BN2 had ShadowMan's hidden stash, and that gave out *edit* 150000 each time! It's a pain to go around killing viruses when the most you can ever get is 2000 for beating bosses.

-boss stages. They had em in BN 1-2, and some of them had stages in 3, but boss stages have since seemingly been abandoned.

-the V1, V2, and V3 forms of bosses and navi chips.

PowerUps- I hate wrestling with the customizer to get the buster strong enough. I want the PowerUps back so the customizer can be saved for the other features.

Squares- No virues, merchants, other Navis to talk to. I found the net areas to be more interesting with those "towns" to visit.

Styles- There's no reason we can't have both Styles and Soul Unisons. Sure souls can do more, but the Styles are more dependable, so we should have both.

Jobs- This is one of the best ways to provide lots of sidequests.

Well, it is a lot easier to get your zenny in five than it was in four. You have to do really bad to fail a mission and if you take your time, those later missions are 5000 zenny a piece, plus whatever zenny you get from item squares. (cheating's possible too. there's a Game Shark cheat that makes item gems last infinitely.) And the liberation missions are sort of like boss stages.

I don't know about the style changes. The thing about Soul Unisons is that they made it worth there being two versions of the game. For EXE 3, there was, what, a couple of different chips? Not a whole lot to make me think it was worth making two versions.

One thing I would like to see is being able to use the entire library for each folder. There are some chips that you shouldn't need more than one of, except you have multiple folders for different things. Having to partially deconstruct one folder for a couple of chips you need to put in the other folder is a pain. Having multiple folders should just be there so you can easily switch from one thing to another. And it might be... that is, it would be nice to have a third folder to edit. Would it be so hard Capcom?

No more PA limit. That's all. Bigger sprites could work.

I don't mind the PA limit at all, if you really need 2 Cosmo Prisons or 2 Dream Swords you're proabbly not a skillful battler anyway... It makes you plan out a more strategic folder.

More Navis per game: The earlier series had alot more navis, EXE 5 has 7 new navis, several of which are the same for both versions

Better Secret Area: I beat the game, I should get something better than an extention to the Undernet, stick some navis in there, and most importantly, Why didn't Darkman or Serenade appear?

The same why that pride came in the 5th game. maybe we'll see both of them in the next game?

Yes No PA limit. Keep the originality.

*cough*50,000*cough* Oh yeah, save next to one, with untrap on, then open it; if it's not 50,000 restart then reload and if it's 50,000 go kill Gosple with out saving, watch the credits and reload your saved game. you'll be 50,000 Zenny Richer with GMD in front of you!

Yeah, and there are three of those mystery datas in there, so that's 50k times 3. That's supposed to be 150000 up there by the way, not a 450000. XD

It's never really been in a MMBN game, but like in one of the Yu-Gi-Oh games where they had a hall of champions where you could battle all the bosses in the game, it would be cool to have this incorparated in the next MMBN game.

I really don't give a damn about the PA limitations, but Capcom should at least bring back the chips from EXE 3 and 2 (I miss my elemental swords).

5 chip codes.
I don't have any huge problem with 3 chip codes, but 5 does allow for more strategy, so I'd like to see it return (although it's one of the more unlikely ones)

Forte storyline involvement.
While I don't like Forte that much, I think that his character does have potential and I'd like to see it used again in the story.

Elemental Swords.
but only if they still have Blues Soul in the next game, those could easily make it one of my favorite souls.

Keep PA limit, I rather like a challenge. Plus, PAs don't make a tournament esque folder...the Chips, prefrences, skills, and strategy do, and they need to focus more on that. If the next tournament ends with a kid having a unicoded folder winning, we might see that disappear, though, which is bad. ):

More focus on elements, less on swords. Sorry, but swords just got overhauled, which was good...but then they just over did it in the end. That's my opinion, though...

Certain chips should come back, they can easily cram in alot more stuff.

Another Forte story line...and maybe give him better abilities. He has the potential...

the only thing I would like Capcom to bring back into the EXE series is the Job system which they had in Exe 2 and 3

I loved the job system. It really should come back. Also the large sprites. I was so frickin shocked when I saw all of these mini sprites in EXE 4. Also squires were a wonderful idea. It was a place you felt like you could hang out in the game. Although the internet look in EXE 1 I didn't like all that much. It was much better in EXE 2.

Also they need the good ol elemental swords (and blades) back. They were some of the best sword chips. After all there so good the anime wouln't let go of them :D

Meh, I'm indifferent about the job system...

Bring back multiple playthroughs. Having to waste my navi customizer space on programs to attract stronger viruses is ridiculous. I liked having hard mode in EXE 4, for two major reasons.

1. You got to play through with whatever chips/souls you had already accquired.

2. Stronger Enemies to go along with stronger chips was just brilliant in it's simplicity.

I'd also like to see some more navis who were previously hidden bosses to come back as regular ones, following the examples of Shadowman and Napalmman. Very high on this list is Darkman, who could have been such wonderful Darkloid material...

I know that a number of people are going to say "OMFGZ Souls are teh SUXXORZ! Bring back mah stylez!".

Personally, I like the idea of Soul Unison, but the fact is, it DOES create two major problems.

1. More bosses have to good guys, so that means lame, not very well thought out scenarios.

2. It takes precious memory away that could be used for scenarios for the boss navis who actually NEED to defeated.

As for Styles, they're not perfect. They were well implemented in the sense that the style you got reflected your play style, but the random element thing pretty much killed it for me. I say, bring back Styles, but if you do, make them non-elemental and just give them nifty buster effects like Ground Style's break buster and Shadow Style's invisibility. If you're going to have Elements be part of a style, center the style around the element itself.

If they want to keep chip types, then they need to have dual type chips, because quite frankly some chips have properties of more than one type. Even chips used in EXE 4 and 5 have this. For example, look at Wind Box, it has properties of both Wind type and Object type, yet it is classified purely as a Wind type.

Yeah, except the problem with that is that in the previous games, you could encounter stronger enemies and get stronger chips simply by visiting different areas of the Net rather than having to play the entire game over again. Hard and Super Hard modes aren't really harder difficulty levels at all, they're just continuations of the same game. I seem to recall BN4 being shorter than previous games, so that's essentially Capcom's way of making the game normal length. >_<

But then they'd be exactly the same as Souls! XD The POINT of Styles is that they're not focused on a single attribute, but they integrate two different attributes (the Style and the Element) to make something more useful. I agree that the random elements is exceedingly annoying, so if Capcom brings back the Styles, they need some way to make it so the player has a way of affecting which element they get. (using lots of fire chips to get a Heat style maybe?)

Still, you have to admit that starting a new game with the stuff you worked so hard to collect is a great idea.
