Why was Missingno even in pokemon???

The good old Missingno. Despite the good it can do to your 6th item, it also messes up the hall of fame - completely. You'll get to see anything, even Mew, a number of characters including Japanese signs.. and patches of the town and field texture.
Oh, but I didn't know that those random Lv100+ Pokémon were determined by the player's name.. we, my sister and me, were just wondering why each newly started game 'featured' different ones once we got far enough to perform the trick.
So, if you'd love to have 99+ items and a badly screwed up hall of fame, try it. But I have no idea what might happen if you catch one - sometimes it's not called Missingno but bears a name consisting of random fragments, just like itself. When I once tried to battle it with a Ditto - just for fun - the game froze for ten seconds or so. Nothing else happened, but it wasn't so funny... it would've been worse if the frozen data would have erased the game file, or whatever else could have happened.

Be an honest trainer - stay away from the rare candy machine :p

i remember capturing a missingo for the first time. I gave it a rare candy, and poof, hello Kangaskan that knows Sky attack
