I'm wondering why in the 3rd serires, megaman didn't use gigafreeze when he met alpha? Why battle him instead?

Rockman used the GigaFreeze program when Forte stole Proto but Forte absorbed it so it couldn't be used.

That may be true, but perhaps it is simply a ghost of the program. Or perhaps maybe Bass absorbed the core portion of the program, but not all of it. Whatever was left over could possibly be identified as the GigFreeze program, but its main operating code was sucked out by Bass.

i think you have a point its a plot hole

at the end when alpha was weaken then he should have used the gigafreeze-also bass is a chosen one he didn't absorb it he caught it

He did catch it, but you probably forgot that Bass yelled "Get Ability Program!" immediately thereafter, implying that he absorbed the program into his own code.

no Bass had the program before megaman got it. Bass says after catching it:

he never said get ability i just replayed that a week ago and i remeber the guy above just repeated what he said after catching it

He just caught it, he didnt use the Get Ability Program on it. The only time he used it was on the Guardian program.

here is a thought have any of you gotten all the chips and seen the alternet ending maybe he uses the giga freeze in that i don't know i haven't gotten it yet i just go a white version and a blue moon and have yet to get the mistman chips 2-4 that i need im working on it

its in the stratagie guide its when you get the Alpha battle chip ones the missle move the other is that electric blast that alternatest between the center and the out side rows

i don't know for sure though if there is a major diffrence i haven't gotten the mistman chips i need to find out

Well, my take would be that, since we saw Rockman try to Gigafreeze Forte, and that didn't work, we come to the later point where we defeat Forte on our own, and then Alpha just sucks him up. Now, if we just beat the guy we couldn't Gigafreeze with our own two hands, then we aren't bloody likely gonna Gigafreeze the red glob of doom that's supposed to be even more powerful and on an absorbing rampage... and after you BEAT Proto, there was nothing left to Gigafreeze, or anything to harm you for that matter... or so we thought, but hey, it's just an opinion
