And I'm not completely sure about how much this would parallel to Rockman, but... if I recall correctly, in Sailormoon, the henshin sequences didn't actually take as long as they appeared to the audience. Really, the spinning around and happy battle music was just eye-candy for the viewers, when in actuality, the henshin takes a few seconds. Remember way back in episode 8 (Colonel's intro episode)? I'm pretty sure when Netto and Enzan fused, afterwards, it showed big spheres of light surrounding them and then breaking as the two dropped down, fused. This implied that what everyone else was seeing was this big field of light (which I would assume protects them during the henshin) surrounding Netto and Enzan and only lasting for a few seconds, even though it lasted a minute or two for the audience. |
You are correct! In Sailor Moon the henshins took place in a blink of an eye, but were made special for the audience. So, by the time the Asteriod navi has to attack, the Operator has already Fused with the navi. The light idea sounds right, after all the ball of light does appear after the chip is activated. _________________

Usually it takes longer because each person gets his or her own special screentime. I mean, I'll bet the first time a group ever transformed, their transformations can take a lot of time.
(But the transformations in Ojamajo Doremi are reeeeeeeally, really short.) _________________ I'll remember that day, and I won't let it go. |

*sigh* Crimson and his little logical explinations. I just somtimes think it's the time issue. eh, I dont feel like explaining but crossfusion is getting boring. What happened to the uniqueness of the EXE series? It's like they dont take the Netbattles seriously anymore. The show used to have that "yu-gi-oh" feeling to it. Now its just...sailor moon'ish. And R-Medi looks like it was a cardboard cut out. LOL! _________________ Tsk tsk tsk

At least Sailormoon had danger and physical violence. Yu-Gi-Oh has... the fate of the entire world riding on some little, flimsy, pieces of cardboard. Even if Rockman was slightly geared in that direction with the net battles, the navis are fighting to protect computer systems... computer systems that pretty much control the world... and computer systems that could be hacked to cause chaos throughout the world. Even these net battles had a real sense of danger behind them... If there's a conflict in Yu-Gi-Oh, they whip out their card deck, regardless that they're in walk-up-and-kick-his-ass range. No, you gotta steal his soul... but in Rockman, the operator could be anywhere, and you have to go through a computer... somehow... to save the day... you know, to stop the real threats, like hijacked planes or bombs on a dam.
But I digress... Another example of the speedy fusion: remember how quickly Tesla was when she first fused? It just happened. It should be a given that the henshin sequences are simply time-filling eye-candy. I mean, we all love to see them fuse... but do you really believe the enemies sit there for 10 minutes and let them do it? _________________

I'm sure the Anime would love for us to believe it. >> Actually, the time seems to vary depending on what the CF is for. Axess 40-against Coldman-'s CF had the henshin sequence, but at double speed. Certain other episodes' CFing don't use the sequence at all, just showing a light globe around the characters for a few seconds. Axess 18, Netto showing off CF to Laika, seems to have taken a lot longer, as Laika was looking at the CF light for quite a few seconds.
And what does that mean? Hell, I dunno. >>

lol. I always thought of that...the enemy just stands there and waits. lol! I hate to say this..but I have the same feelings about yu-gi-oh...*bleh* I just ment that the EXE series used to have more of a strategy feel to it. Now it's "Cross fuse and call out random battle chips and in like 10 or 20 seconds the boss is dead". I hate that SH!t...I still have to laugh at R-Medi. lol. _________________ Tsk tsk tsk

I like his explanations. ^^ It just shows that he takes a lot into thinking carefully.
I think the time varying transformation theme is just one of those things of where my friend would say,"That's anime for you." Sometimes, things don't really make sense. _________________ I'll remember that day, and I won't let it go. |

Yeah, the CF sequences probably take up just a few seconds as opposed to half a minute as seen when they skip the sequence. And given that the flash of light enables them to break through the wall of a DA, it will almost certainly protects them from attack. |

Yes, but sometimes there can be things that you don't need to analyze to make logic in the STORY, if you just think like the marketers. The flashbacks to older episodes and they for some reason have the NEWEST PET instead of the one they originally had is a prime example. |

It's pretty obvious to me... as I already mentioned before, the henshins are time-filling eye candy. Sometimes, the writers need to fill some more time, so they use the henshins... sometimes, they don't need a full henshin, so they speed it up. Sometimes, they don't need it at all, so they just skip right through it. The only rhyme or reason to it all is how much time they don't feel like filling with something relevent... another reason a lot of flashbacks are often used, which are easily justifiable by recapping the story with the viewers. (Though, it's obvious when they're using it to fill time... like the EIGHT THOUSAND occasions Enzan slotting in a dark chip from Axess was recapped.)
And Gray17 has another good point, concerning breaking through DAs. Cross Fusion goes under the same principals as Soul Unison's, which sometimes have these long henshins and sometimes just have a big orb of light that surrounds them. Remember when Rockman used Roll Soul? That orb of light completely deflected all of Flashman's attacks. This falls under the exact same catagory.
And on a slightly different subject, I agree that Cross Fusion is to Stream as Soul Unison is to Axess... and the henshin's kinda represent this. (It just woulda been nice if Stream DIDN'T give us one soul to rub in our faces.) _________________

Why would it be called the fall of Duo's Comet? That doesn't make any sense. It's not like Duo was defeated or anything. _________________

Can you prove it? Do you speak Japanese? Or does that name just suit your liking better? People around here work pretty hard to translate this stuff for us and would probably get partially offended to users signing up, just so they can say they're wrong without any clear evidence to back up why. _________________

The fall of Duo's comet does make more sence but, Crimson is right.
You need proof or some thing because it can be offending. |

The Fall of Duo's Comet doesn't make any sense to me at all. The thing didn't fall anywhere, and in a less literal sense, Duo wasn't defeated either. Below Duo's Comet makes plenty of sense... this episode focuses on the people that Duo crested, whom are often seen throughout the series staring up at Duo's comet. You have to be below something to stare up at it, don't you? The ending of this episode even had all of the characters who have been crested staring up at Duo as he spoke. And the title can be taken a bit more abstractically, as these people have been fighting underneath Duo's "supervision," in a sense. _________________

When you put it that way I guess it makes sence. I was thinking of something else so I didn't see it that way. |

Just what we need. MORE CF Rangers. That brings the total to 12 Cross Fusions. 12. And there's bound to be atleast 2 or 3 more (Toadman, Numberman and Colonel are all almost a given.) But anyway, this seems to be an interesting episode. What I wanna know is more stuff on Regal and on Shadow's op (can't spell his name right). And Dark Rockman. Stream can still save itself.
Anyway, next week sounds cool. R-Shadow sounds kickass. (And to stay on the CF sub-topic, R-Number would look cool. C'mon, Just imagine Higure (sp?) with a Numberman-style afro. Wouldn't that be cool? XD) _________________
