What will be your favorite game featured on the disk? Personally, I will like Megaman X 1! I say the originals are ALMOST always the best. " It's frickin awsome!" *
* yes... that is my catch phrase...

I loved X, beat it like a billions times, but still loving it
but X2/X3 will be awesome to play on the cube i think.
and they are re-dubbing the voices to right?
so X doesn't sound like a wuss in X4 _________________

X4, X was played by a girl; hence the voice. |

Did you hear the Remastered Tracks Zero - Telos track 'Retrospect1_Elf War' it let's you hear the way X should sound. also CopyX in RMZ1 had an awesome voice...though the voices in X4 do not bother me, I'd still like to see all voiceactors to be as good as the seiyuu's of RMZ.
I hate the Idea of playing RM on the cube, since the controller is SO not made for RM games, on PS2 however, I will enjoy playing RMX once again ^^ _________________ -'MOTTO CHIKARAWO~!!-

Tough luck for you. Ocean Group is redubbing the voices for X, Zero, and Sigma in the X4 cut-scenes with the actors from CM and X8.
As for me? Kinda tough, since I already own everything on the collection (sans Battle & Chase), so I'm guessing Battle & Chase will peak my interest the most. However, I really want to play the SNES games (specifically X2) with a PS2 controller (you know, so the buttons will work)... and since I've been all about doing X2 speed-runs lately... yeah, it'll be X2.
Other than that, though... X4 and X6 have special places in my heart, and both of those are getting new voice-work added to them. _________________

I liked the dub to X4, no one can ever do a better version of: 0What am I fighting for?!!!!!
I am planning to get it as soon as it comes out, I'll probably just play X1 for the most part. |

The X Collection seems real interesting now. :O
I have only played X4-X6, but haven't played X1-X3. Plus, Battle and Chase looks really fun. :D
The Re-dubs of X4 and X6 are interesting too. Though, it would've been better if ALL of X4 was Re-dubbed. Besides X, Zero, Sigma, and Light.
General with Signas' X8 voice would be awesome. :D
Also, will there be ANY unlockables like in MMAC? :O _________________ (Insert sig here because Matt hasn't thought up of a real one yet. D:) |

Hopefully so and they could be like the ones for MMAC. |

Are you saying that's your opinion, or that's what Capcom wanted?
I don't bank too heavily on the latter, given how many voices X has had in Japan...

I'm rather fond of Ocean Group myself. They get better the more they do it, so I'm happy.

It's not TOO bad, though I agree the PS2 controller is more intuitive. That is, for MMX games. The Classic series, on the other hand, as well as Battle Network, works quite well with the Cube controller. And I imagine that if one enables a MMZ-styled layout on MMXC, the controls may not be too bad...

Time will tell on that one. Frankly, it's the lines preceding it that bug me... he sounds like a kid on a sugar rush reading lines from a comic book...

Shoot, I'm playing the whole bloody lot to see the changes, and just for old time's sake.

I think people have become too fixated on what the one-shot characters sound like to have it change; I'm not even sure if any of the actors could provide the proper accent. I'm sure X, Zero, Sigma, and Light are for the sake of consistency above any other reason.
Well, that, and they(save Light) were some of the most notorious voices in video game history.

True.

There are supposed to be; it's not been said whether they even decided to go for two GCN discs to be able to hold more.

X1-X6 all have completely customizable controls in the Options menu (in fact, X1-X3 are so customizable that you can make Start your jump button if you really wanted to)... and Capcom is trying to pass this off as some kind of bonus feature... so, basically, you can change the controls around exactly as you seem fit. On a side-note: I really need it on PS2, simply for the controller. I don't have any SNES controllers that aren't pieces of crap, and it's putting a damper into my X-time. _________________

Come now, how can they NOT, after MMAC, which not only didn't let you customize your controls on the older games, but even went so far as to remove it from MM8 as well?

If the Hori controller had a better face button layout, I'd use that. Anyway, I may even try for both versions... I don't own a PS2 yet, so I'll likely go Cube first. If that doesn't work for me, maybe I'll get PS2 for comfort.

Actually... I think there's controllers available for the Gamecube, similar to the Hori, that are designed like PS2 controllers. I saw a photo somewhere on GameFAQs once (couldn't tell you where now, though I vaguely believe it may have been the MMXC PS2 board). _________________

I'd kill for that controller... I've never seen it, but rest assured, lives would be taken if it'd get me that controller...

I'll search around for it and edit this post when I find something. I'm really damn sure I didn't dream this...
EDIT: This is the close thing I can find, but I -know- this isn't what I saw. What I saw had the main analog stick and D-Pad switched, like on a PS2 controller, and the button layout even mimicked the PS2 one. But, regardless, here's what I found for now. I'll keep looking. (I swear I didn't dream this...)

Pretty much my opinion, since I find the voices for the Zero series 'as they should be' thus, I find it to be X's best voice, even though I really like the X4 one, I like the new ones(X8/CM) too, but they're not as good as X4...but a mayority seems to think elsewise....
however, I disagree with you partially on the controller thing, for command Mission and Battle network it is quite ok, since they aren't platform games, but the 3d stick is a true plaque when playing RMZ, say when playing part3, on ultimate, and you want to jumpslash, but you perform a active jump slash...or execute Rakusaiga...just because you tap it slightly up/down wards....
This problem is solved once I buy a friggin GC/GBA link cable, were I can use my GBA to controll, wich is just pristine. _________________ -'MOTTO CHIKARAWO~!!-

That's why I use the pad instead of the stick.

I have all of the games the collection is going to have (even the rare X2 and 3) so I'll probably get it for Battle and Chase and the extra (if any) content. |
