That sprite is really, really good. Seriously it looks incredible. I do have one gripe. Yes it's the hair. The shading and highlighting is backwards. flip the highlights to the outside of the hair, and the shades to the inside. Other than that, absolutely incredible. Good job.

"Imagination World", eh? Interesting way to put it into words!

Yeah, I dunno what to call it, but I do actually think about the characters and make plots for them...in my mind...muahahaha *cough* *cough* Now where was I? Oh, yes, hahahahahaha.

Too human? A lot of them are. Any navi with a human face is pretty much human looking.

I know, but my navis look like a normal regular person. It looks like they should be the operater and not the navi. o.O I dunno, it just seems that way.

...But the light source is coming from the right (her left). x_o;

Do you by any chance have any other sprites of yours? These are really good so I want to see more. Pwease? :3 XD (well, of course I know that you would be working on another sprite currently, right?)

Name: Kizuki Kimura
Base: Daisuke/Dave

I didn't really want to post this one because it took barely as much editing as I thought it would. ^^; It's just that Dave and Kizu both wear glasses and a hoodie, and I attempted to edit the glasses at least to make them look different, but I couldn't quite pull it off. x_x Please tell me if I should take it down ^_^;
This is Gypsy's operator, Kizuki Kimura. He's a nineteen year old college student at the Densan Academy that majors in writing. He's very afraid of commitment. :P

Name: Sable.EXE
Base: ..Ah, heck. Just for fun, take a stab. XD

I've tried twice before to make Sable a mug with both of Blues' mugshots, but both went down the crapper. This is the first one that came out decent, though his profile REALLY irks me. x_x;

Critique welcomed. Next up is probably a large sprite for Sable.

Wow, those are some nice looking sprites, DS. The shading is incredible.

Ah..im guessing the base you used for Sable's mugshot is..Chaud! Am i right? You did a very good job on that large sprite of Gypsy too!

Im not very good at making sprites.. Laughing ha ha, im really bad. ^__^;

Yes, but if the light hits her head, than a shadow is cast on the back of her hair isn't it? It's merely a suggestion. All I ask is that you experiment with it. If you don't like it you can go back to the way it was.

Yeah, Sable does look like like Chaud. But it wasn't recognizable at first, so it's a good job. He's so dark Razz. Good job.

That Kizuki... I don't know what that thing in the bottom left corner is. I almost thought it was a ponytail. I think he looks cool.

Uhh... *goes back to check it* ...Yeah, I did put shading behind her, cast on her hair. It's a bit thin, I guess it's hard to see. ^^;

And on Kizuki, that's a braid. Since I can't draw braids worth a crap, I borrowed the Yuriko way of doing it. XD;

And the cookie goes to Megaman 7, it's Chaud/Enzan. XD
(Edit: 100th post yay. XD *Net Savior'D*)

Nice mugs so that's gypsy's operator. He's afraid of commitment?
That's funny, but you think she would help him with that.

Don't have a lot of time to post, must be in bed an hour ago. All I can say is please be gentle, I worked forever to get her looking semi-decent. Her boots and helmet refused to cooperate. Critique in order to fix her is greatly welcomed. Planning on maybe doing a Needle Cannon animation on her sometime soon if it wants to be seen.

Name: R-Needleman

Only see a few things that you might want to inprove on, such as the needles might need an other coat of shading to them to highlight some parts. Other then that it looks very good DS.

I like the shading jobs on these, very good accenting of metal surfaces and hair. Although you may want to consider giving Sable's 3/4 mugshot a little lighter background or make it a more starkly contrasting color, as the gray one he has makes the outline of his face a little difficult to make out...although granted your designs make him seem like a dark kinda guy >__< . I also agree with what's been said earlier about R-Needleman; I can see the shading work on her spikes, but you may want to make the needle shading darker, so that they appear more defined.

Overall, some extremely good work you have here. I also like how there are creative stories behind the sprited characters ^_^

you picked the right colors but you didn't aply them the way to make it look like the rest. It looks too shiny and glocy.

Personally, I think R.Needleman looks fine. It's a lot better than I could ever do at least. I can't wait to see a large sprite of Sable. These sprites are awesome!

Mwee, thank you for the critique. Does anyone have any tips on pulling off recoil so I can get to work on R-Needle's shooting animation?

Until I work on that, have another original character.

Sable big sprite. /o/ This was on a just-for-fun basis, so it doesn't look quite near as nice as Gypsy, but I still like how he came out. His hair was a pain, though. x_o; Critique welcomed.

Oh very cool. I like how he seems to be darker themed, yet also seems to be a good guy. We need more of those. The hair is great and so is his helemt. I think the belt might be a bit to low though...

Taking a look back at your previous sprites, they're nicely done. Sable was detailed nicely, and the hair's not bad.

That's all I have to say, DS. Great schtuff.

Large sprites are indeed tedious, and while your efforts are noble, you appear to consistently have trouble with proper shading in both small and large sprites, and the end result is a lot of stuff that looks 'blotchy'. The problem is that when you base stuff, but can't properly execute the customization, then the contrast between the quality of the base parts and the quality of your own work really hurts the unity of the presentation. This stuff is okay, but you should really think about working on your shading abilities on a smaller scale before attempting bigger sprites when the problem is more obvious.
