Well, I see your point. I just think he could've activated Doublesoul Protosoul in the beginning, so Megaman can kick Shademans butt and Protoman would've never been corrupted.

not all dark chips damage your navi data some just make you realy evil-the one they used on protoman to make him dark protoman (new look) didn't degrade his data

also the dark chips in battle net 3 didn't have the side effects the dark chips in 4 and 5 had so i think that some dark chips may not be as bad its quite possible that the degrading effect is regals doing and was added to destroy the dark loids and navi's who used them remember that he intended to get rid of them anyway so its possible that the source of the dark chips my not damage your data although it may be evil- dark is not always evil however in this case it may

I guess its true that some Darkchips don't have the degrading effect. I wonder if Regal made those ones. They are considerably weaker than the Darkchips you get if you choose the Darkside of the cyber-force. Either that or those could be early Darkchip projects that didn't quite satisfy Regal's tastes :/ .

I would probably never use a dark chip. I just too much of a goody two shoes. I never used them in the games, and I wouldn't use them in real life (if it ever happened lolz).

what do you mean dark force or cyber force is that form 5 i haven't played it yet (anygood)

but my point was that in 3 the dark chips were perfactly safe to use and serenada's battle chip is one of them so i don't think dark power is nessarily evil

I find Dark Chips horrible to use, the side effects are far too risky, also cheap one hit moves ain't cool.

Dark Chip free is the way to be.
