Anyone here (besides Nazne and Midnight, I already know you two do) play this?

And for those of you who've never played it, it's a PHP-based online game, located at http://www.kingdomofloathing.com. It's basically the most hilarious and quirky MMORPG I've ever seen. Instead of using gold or some form of cash for the currency, the currency of the Kingdom is Meat. And instead of the typical monsters, you fight things like Baseball Bats (a bat with a baseball for a head), Flaming Trolls (not of the chat-room variety, it looks like a troll doll on fire), ever-so-dangerous Cans of Asparagus, Anime Smileys, etc. I suppose I'll just let you guys find out the rest for yourselves.

[Edit: Typo'd.]

Ah, KOL! That was one of my favorites! So much humor in that one. Smile But you know how, if an account is unused for 60 days it will get deleted? Yeah, that happened to me when I got sucked into the world of Runescape. T_T Maybe I will make another account on KOL, seening as I'm bored of Runescape now... :eyes:

Nazne plays KoL? Hmmm...I didn't know that. What's your username?

Anyway, I think it would be quite a laugh to play it. Me and my brother happen to be avid players, and short of advertisement, it is simply a wonderful game that is very likely to put a smile on your face.

1300? Already?

I use to play it, and I know it was very fun and hilarious, but I got bored of it. My username was Rainstorm, and it hasn't been deleted yet. I plan to give out my items and Meat to my brother and two cousins, but I don't mind sharing with a couple of other people. Razz (I only have 60k).

Ugh. I have a friend who plays that. She gets sucked into things like that and Gaia Online... I really can't fathom how games like this are entertaining for long periods of time.

Then you'll just get some more tomorrow. Or at least when rollover hits again, which should be around 11:45pm EST.

Edit: For the record, I am ixidor13, #405183. If you need extra stuff, or just started out, or need a clan, or need advice as to how to proceed, contact me.

Fantastic. There's quite a few people that are members already, including myself, Poochy, Nazne, *bricked*

Goofballs are drugs, in essence. They give you a boost, but you then spend 100 turns in a withdrawal. Not very good.

Yup, if you play KoL and are at least level 3, you can join the Rockman.EXE Online clan. I'll try to keep up with the pending users whenever I play.

If you can't guess my name on KoL, shame on you.

Indeed.

Do not worry, Pyo. As soon as I finish my run and have access to my latent meat, I will come by and dump a fairly large lump of cash.

Actually, we have QUITE a few REO members playing this. My count says nearly 20. Just to let you know.

I may consider joining the REO clan after I ascend once. I'm Nazne, obviously. << BTW, does your Chef-in-the-Box break if you use it too much, and how do you fix it? Or do you have to make a new one? >>

Naz--Yes. The bad news is that each chef-in-the-box has a limited lifespan. It is estimated that after one cooks about 100-120 items, the chef is no more. One knows he is getting close when he hears strange rattling noises from such a box. It does happen, an asploding chef-in-the-box, but usually about half of the items from the wreckage can be put toward building a new chef. It will spit out about three random dishes when it dies, and some of them may be quite rare, so it may not all be bad. Once the chef asplodes, it must be replaced. It cannot be repaired.

Post-Ascension Spoilerisms:
[spoil:89f9ce388b]There is what is known as a "clockwork-chef-in-the-box". It uses technnology known only to certain ascended peoples to create the clockwork. The main advantage is that such a chef is FAR more durable than that of a regular chef. It is surmised that this chef will last about 4 or 5 times longer than a regular chef, but it happens to cost about 4 or 5 times as much.[/spoil:89f9ce388b]

Oh, that's not bad :o Mine's started rattling and making 'unhealthy noises', but I've already gotten most everything for a new Chef except the oven, which I can get any time. And the dishes thing sounds nice. XD

One thing I'd like to request about the use of spoiler tags--

I'd like to request that certain things should remain spoilers and therefore merit the use of tags. These things being--

- Any solution to a quest-related puzzle
- Any method of solving a quest
- Anything that occurs to players only after ascension.
