How DARE you.
This person did not claim it as her (I'm assuming) own. She did not say she drew it. In fact, this is nothing compared to what else is posted on DA. If you're complaining about this, at least she actually modified it somewhat. Some people use other's fanart as wallpaper. Some even submitted official art, claiming it as their own.
And as a personal note, DA's gotten stupid. They really don't care about art theft anymore. Go ask Jyoshiki or Suraida-chan or all the others who fled to Sheezy.
Edit: And if you follow DA's rules so strictly, why don't you read this fanart forum's rules?

Actually I'm studying to be an animator. It's very hard but also very fun if you like that kind of stuff.
Are you an artist who wishes to make art your career? if not I'm not sure if I can ever explain artist integrity to you. Plus you don't seem to be listening so I repeat myself yet again. It's not just rockman artist that needs to be considered but also the wishes of the site. If you don't like the word integrity then try the word respect.
Can someone tell me where he gives credit to the rockman/megaman creators? |

Listen up,
I am studying to be an animator too (no joke). I understand the way you look at it, but you are thinking way too negative. Example.
I made an entire fanfiction myself once. Including artwork, you name it. Not much people read that, but those people who did thought it was really good. So good in fact, that they wanted my help on designing their characters, but some of them also used my character in their own stories. They did this with integrity, not making fun of my characters at all, but showing him in ways that I approved of.
Same could be said about drawings. If people would think my art is so great, it's worthy to be a wallpaper, then let them go ahead! Let them make a wallpaper out of it. AS LONG AS THEY DON'T CREDIT THEY DREW IT THEMSELVES, I would be flattered! Also drawing my characters themselves would make me feel really good as an artsit.
This person does they same. She admires Rockman EXE Stream, or at least that particular picture of Roll. She thinks it's cute. So cute, that she made a wallpaper out of it. I think the original illustrator wouldn't be bothered by this. She's isn't selling his work, or telling it's her own, she's actually promoting her interest towards that anime to other people. And I don't think she will ever be able to name the exact creator of that screencap, cause that anime is made by many people, isn't it?
So what I want to say is: You confuse Appreciation with Art Theft. This girl likes what the artist made. She thinks it's worthy to be a wallpaper. She is not trying to gain profit OR credit from that artists hard work in any way. That being said, I think I've said enough.

Wow, you guys don't know how to debate.
Debates are meant to stimulate you into thinking but I guess debate is better left to Deviantart forums. You guys took this a little sensitively. I'm trying to see if I could generate a debate because I/you usually learn something when that happens. But it appear it's turned into an argument instead with people swearing and getting offended.
Sorry you all got offended by "brickwall" that was referring to the fact that I had to repeat myself. That gets annoying, typing the same thing over. But hey, *shrug* maybe I just wasn't clear. that's a possiblity
Okay no more debate/argument I'm going to bed.
Edit:
except yorokei. You'd do okay in a debate. Theres a few others too.
Some of you got really offend though. Everybody take a deep breath and relax. |

It is also very probable that the person took the screencapture by himself (assuming it's a guy), which would mean REO'd have no business whatsoever with that kid and his photoshopping skills. (And even if he took him from REO, why bother? It's not like Ryouko minds anyway, unless it were to be hotlinked.) We certainly can't be chasing every person on the intarwebs just because they've got a screencap slapped as a wallpaper with a few modifications.
Requesting lock, this is really getting repetitive. e_e;
P.S: Watch this whole thread. According to your definition, it has thousands of art theft *points at several signatures and avatars*... >>;
