Genres

R = Romance
Hu = Humour
D = Drama
AA = Action/Adventure
M = Mystery
Hr = Horror
P = Parody
A = Angst
SF = Sci/Fi
Su = Suspense
Sp = Supernatural
T = Tragedy

Symbols
OF = Origanal Fiction, meaning that everything in the story is yours, charachters, plot and anything else. Nothing copyrighted.
OC = Original Charachter, or a charachter that you made up specifically for that story.
OOC = Out Of Charachter, different from OC, this means the the charachter acts differently then he/she/it normally would in he/she/it's game, anime or manga
OT = Off Topic, for fics that are not Rockman related.
X-over or CO = Crossover or putting an anime/manga/game with another anime/manga/game
OS = One Shot, or only one chapter. Label these so people don't beg for more another chapter. In some fandoms, these are also called vignettes.
Poem = Writing a nice poem based on the anime/game/manga
AU = Alternative Universe. It's pretty obvious what that means.
WIP = Work in Progress. An unfinished fanfiction.

Point of View

1PP = First Person Perspective
2PP = Second Person Perspective
3PP = Third Person Perspective

Pairings

SemexUke Or, dominantx(for lack of a better term) recessive (Submissive, Neko? XP). NOT GENETICS :D make sure you follow this because when you say RockmanxRoll, it is different from RollxRockman.
In some fandoms, if you write the pairing without the word "romance" at the end (i.e: Netto/Meiru), it means there'll be sex. In some fandoms. Not this one. Nobody cares. Heh. XD
Shounen Ai/Shoujo ai = Boy Love or Girl Love, also used to express boyxboy/girlxgirl pairings.
Yaoi/Yuri = Not the same. Yaoi and Yuri means that the fic contains explicit material, Yaoi and Yuri just warns that it's boyxboy and girlxgirl. Not the same as shoujo/shounen ai. Also referred as Slash in some fandoms (mostly non-anime ones).

Ratings

[G]: All ages admitted. This signifies that the film rated contains nothing most parents will consider offensive for even their youngest children to see or hear. Nudity, sex scenes, and scenes of drug use are absent; violence is minimal; snippets of dialogue may go beyond polite conversation but do not go beyond common everyday expressions.

[PG]: Some material may not be suitable for children. This signifies that the film rated may contain some material parents might not like to expose to their young children - material that will clearly need to be examined or inquired about before children are allowed to attend the film. Explicit sex scenes and scenes of drug use are absent; nudity, if present, is seen only briefly, horror and violence do not exceed moderate levels.

[PG-13]: Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13. This signifies that the film rated may be inappropriate for pre-teens. Parents should be especially careful about letting their younger children attend. Rough or persistent violence is absent; sexually-oriented nudity is generally absent; some scenes of drug use may be seen; one use of the harsher sexually derived words may be heard.

[R]: This signifies that the rating board has concluded that the film rated contains some adult material. Parents are urged to learn more about the film before taking their children to see it. An R may be assigned due to, among other things, a film's use of language, theme, violence, sex or its portrayal of drug use.

As we all know, no lemons or limes or citrus of any kind.
Meaning Lemon and Limes are sexually explicit fics, those kinds are not allowed on this forum except under certain circumstances that are in the rules.

Also, when you end a fic, please state clearly that it is over in the title.

Not enough room? Put all excess warnings inside the fic, telling what is to occur and making sure it is in plain sight.

Shounen-ai alerts have high priority. If your fic contains such criteria, it's required to you to put this alert first, and stuff any excess warnings inside the fic.

Perhaps it should be clarified what the Perspective tags mean, exactly? :o I was always under the impression that 1PP was like "I did this and some other stuff," 2PP was the standard method for writing books (not using 'I' in narration, but the reader is shown what the main character is thinking), and 3PP was like being a.. well, third person in a conversation, listening in on someone else's adventure with no looks into the main character's head.

Just a random thought.

I was thinking of something for drabbles after being stuck in FMA's section of FF.Net for the last few weeks. I'm not sure of the definition myself or what to call it. Any thoughts?
