No, not in any way. It's a set of three short movies that attempt to teach people about various Japanese customs and holidays. The art style used for it is the actual anime style and not the American animation as used in the Mega Shows.

Back in the day Ruby Spears actually made a few MM cartoons that weren't messed up like the Mega Shows. Wish Upon A Star OAV and the promo video. All of the voices used in the dub are from the ancient ocean studio's track. Dr.Light has his Mega Shows voice, and in later eps, Rush sounds like Mega Shows Rush. It's a decent dvd and it's quite cheap to buy. I highly suggest you buy this if you are a Rock Man classic fan.

I've been planning on buying this and have seen it in many places, but never got the chance =\. I deleted the OVA to make room on my computer so I wanna see it again soon >.<;. Especially with the dubbed voices =P.
