I've been playing pokemon since I first recieved Pokemon Red Version for Christmas the year of its release. I played it against others at recess in the school, but didn't have the chance to play other since, until 6 years later I fought NetBattle. Anyone else here play on NetBattle or would like to face others over the internet?

Haven't played for a little while (I take breaks every once and a while, then it slowly draws me back in XD) but a lot of the time I regularily play Netbattle.

I'm fine with playing against you or someone, always nice to battle new people Smile

Also, lets try to keep any "Pokemon is old and dead and stinky!" trolling out of this topic... Unless the topic creator asks for opinions, wait till there's a relevant topic that you can post them on Razz

Same here with Netbattle, Me and Starman have fought a few times I think...or maybe just that once. He got pretty lucky using the endure-reversal combo...didn't see it coming. XD

Or, when I'm using a type themed deck some sort of punny variation of the name.

I used to play..but mainly against Starry. I fail at knowledge of some Pokemon moves. Sad

I mainly play the GB/GBA games, which is why when I tried NetBattle, I was severely disgusted. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a fine system if you go for that sort of thing, but I'm the kind of person who painstakingly builds a team through the game (on the GBA that is), with Pokemon who don't have perfect stats. Yet on the NetBattle, with so many people running around who build perfect teams with perfect stats, you get slaughtered unless you have perfection too.

If I had a few people that I played against on a regular basis like you guys do, people who I know will play fair, then maybe my opinion would be different.

I play the handheld games. That's it. I have no desire to be a competitive battler against other people, so no Netbattle for me.
It's strange, how the Pokemon formula seems to never get old...
