I've been hearing that DT can do something with each of the GBA BN games. You can copy your folder from 5. Is it true for the others?

Yes

I think 1 and 2 give new music. 4.5 gives you a weird e-mail. And That's all I can think off

It will most likely be in the game, since IGN advertised it as so. And if it's not, then I won't buy the game. Forget it. >_> If Capcom screws it up...

It should be IGN did say in a video trailer, and plus it would ruin part of the game if they didnt do that...I wanna know is if this is the only game that uses GBA games to inhance the gaming of the DS game

PostPosted: Mon Aug 08, 2005 3:45 pm    Post subject: My take on the uber-sweet tunes of Twin Leaders Reply with quote

(Just to let you all know, this is a repost of a topic I made earlier today. Sketch said it was in the wrong area, so I decided to move it to see if I got any responses)

Hiya, folks!

When I first saw the E3 trailer for RockmanEXE 5 DS, I was impressed. However, there was one thing that worried me.

The in-game graphics look the same as the GBA version, which I don't mind. However, I was worried that the music would be the same as the GBA version, too. I mean, the 8-bit/16-bit sound combo is okay for the GBA, but it just wouldn't fly on the DS.

However, just yesterday, a VERY nice fellow on another channel I frequent was nice enough to send me a copy of the ripped soundtrack.

And after listening to it, I am happy to say that my fears were completely unfounded.

The redone soundtrack for EXE 5 DS was just phenomenal! They took all the tunes from the GBA game and amped up the quality beyond 16-bit and all the way to 128-bit!

The instrumentals, the techno-vibes, I loved EVERYTHING about the music! It was like there was a party in my ears, and there were enough beer for everyone!

It's hard for me to pick a favorite song, but if I had to, I'd have to say it would be a toss-up between Oran Island, End City, or the virus battle theme (since the battle themes are my favorite song in any EXE game)

And speaking of which, I couldn't help but notice that the virus battle themes from EXE 2, 3, 4, and 4.5 made it into the game. (Which, I've heard, can be unlocked by plugging the aforemention game into the GBA slot on the DS) It was so wonderful to see these songs remixed DS style. The EXE 2 battle theme, which will always be my favorite, sounds 1000 times sweeter than it did on the GBA. It was almost like hearing a little whishper of heaven. But most suprisingly of all was the battle theme from EXE 4. That one was my least favorite out of all the battle themes, and even THAT song rocked on the DS!

And let's not forget that wonder OP theme from Stream, Buzy's Be Somewhere, which has been included as the game's OP and ED theme. That song ruled in the anime, and it rules now!

As much as I loved this game before, I love it even more now. Just the music alone is reason enough for me to blow an entire paycheck on it!

All in all, the music is something to be honored, admired, revered, and any other verbs I can think of later. Let me know what you guys think of the soundtrack, and what your fave tunes are.

lol, I love the music too! my favorites are bn2 battle theme, 4's, and 5's battle themes. oh yeah, and buzzy's opening for the game! I think this is the best music on the DS so far.

I forgot! the boss music ROX MY SOX OFF! lol. too good. It sounds more..."bossy"

Actually, it has all 5 previous battle themes in it, but Nigoli (who ripped the soundtrack) didn't have EXE1 at the time.

Thanks, Zan! And Capcom gets even more brownie points for this tune!
The BN1 battle theme was my second least fave in the series, and they made this version kick ass, too!

Okay, so I bought and have Twin Leaders and I tested out if I could change the virus battle theme music when inserting previous BN games.

Now, if there is supposed to be a process, I need to know. Otherwise, I don't think Twin Leaders (JPN) can work with the (US) game paks because the battle theme is the same as BN5's virus battle theme.
Can someone clarify this for me?

I'm a bit unclear on what you're asking. If you're wondering how to change the battle themes, simply enter a battle while the cartridge is in the DS. There aren't any special options you have to mess around with or anything.

Different source codes. English games cannot work with Japanese games most of the time...like my English Boktai 2 wouldn't recognize my Japanese EXE5. The original EXE games could link with the Japanse games, right? I thought they could anyway. .-.

Um, GameFAQs have some codes up for DT, which won't work on TOB and TOC. Lord of Chaos and Leaders Raid are among them. Are they telling the truth? Could someone who has already imported the game try them?

Well I am glad I am getting the import of the game becuase they will surely remove the opening theme or change it. And they will remove the areas the removed for the english version so yeah.

to be honest, I VASTLY prefer the GBA soundtrack to the DS mixes..

And I hope they keep Netto's voice saying "plug-in"..I'd die hearing "JACK-IN MEGAMAN, POWEEEEEERUP!" XD;;
