Power:PG-13 One Shot for Planty Shounen Ai

Planty just made me a website. Because she is the Uber goddess of Awesomeness and all. So, in honor of that I wrote her a oneshot of one of her favorite couples ShademanxBurnerman. I know it's a tad odd, but it really is a nice couple and she deserves it. Right now she's resting because she's been working on my site for hours. So everyone give her love and go check out the site! It's in my sig :3 (Shameless self plug there)

There were days when Shademan wanted nothing but power. To rule with an iron fist, let no one stand in his way and take down anyone who dared to try and stop him. And then, there were the rare days when he wanted to such thing, the hunger was gone, the thirst was quenched and the feeling was replaced by an irresistible pull to another person.

In truth, he preferred his never ending need for power over the want for the other person. Because he could do something about it, where as he had no idea how to cope with his wants.

So, Shademan sat, in his throne, on one such day when he no longer felt his need for power. Everyone else knew that he was irritable on such days and if you wanted to keep your head, it was wise to avoid him. Everyone knew, that is, except Burnerman.

Burnerman had this amazing talent to always be able to be around Shademan without loosing his head or another vital body part. He received death glares, threats and the occasional fake blow but never anything harmful and he used that to his advantage.

“So, what cha doin, Shadey?” Burnerman drawled.

“I was sitting here, minding my own business,” Shademan replied coolly.

Burnerman smirked, “Awww, is the little Shadey in a bad mood?” he teased.

Shademan glared at the hyper Burnerman, but it did him no good. “I would appreciate it if you left me alone.”

Burnerman put his arms around Shademan and drew him close, “Why?” he breathed in his ear. “Scared?”

A look of sheer terror crossed Shademan’s face for a split second before he regained his calm demeanor. “No, and it might be good for your heath if you left me alone,” he growled.

Burnerman noted the look so he kept on pushing, “You don’t like it when you can’t fight or conquer. You think you’re getting soft,” he smirked while pushing the buttons he knew were there. “But why are you afraid of me, I wonder.”

“I’m not afraid of you,” Shademan said while turning his head away.

Burnerman put his arms on either side of Shademan’s chair until the smaller Darkloid had the taller one trapped in his own throne. “Then why won’t you look at me?” he asked, his cold blue eyes earnest.

“Because you’re annoying,” Shademan hissed, showing a little more of his fangs then necessary.

“Am I?” Burnerman asked with a playful glint in his eyes.

Shademan shifted uncomfortably in his chair. He wished Burnerman would go away.

“What are you so afraid of?” Burnerman murmured. “Love? Caring about someone else? Feeling a different kind of want inside of you?”

Shademan glared at Burnerman and got ready to yell at him but he found that his voice was no longer here. “You are scared,” Burnerman smirked.

“No,” Shademan protested, but it was weak.

“You’re afraid of the unknown,” Burnerman said. “You don’t like not being in control, so when your body finally does rebel and make you feel something you don’t like it, because you’re afraid.”

Shademan had just had about enough of this idiotic soul searching.

Burnerman smirked, “You know I’m right,” he muttered. “You kno-mph…” his eyes widened as Shademan pulled him forward into a rough kiss.

“So you can shut up,” Shademan said coolly, his arms still wrapped around the smaller navi.

Burnerman was still in a slight shock. Not quite expecting Shademan to make the first move he was caught unawares. “You bastard…” he said with a grin.

Shademan was no longer afraid of the wants within him. And in a partial need to keep Burnerman quiet while he thought, he continued to kiss the rather hot tempered navi until he was merely puddy in his hands.

Later, Burnerman was curled in Shademan’s arms and Shademan had finally gotten him to remove the infernal helmet revealing a short crop of bright red hair. Shademan was now stroking as Burnerman lay half asleep in his arms.

Love was just a different kind of battle, but still one of power. And this was a battle he knew he could win.
