Organizing fanfic section?

I think that you should make the fanfic section have several parts to it. Like organize it by genre. The fanfic rules say to put it in the board title, but not everyone listens. So sometimes I look for a comedy fanfic and I stumble on to a badly made romance story.

It sounds good at first glance, but then we'd inevitably have the "which section does this go into again?" debates, for authors whose fics cover like seventeen genres at the same time, and for people with request threads-which cover all genres-they're screwed. I'd prefer we just keep our labeling system, even if it's not mandatory.

Personally, I like being surprised. And what "badly-written romance" are you talking about? >_>'

Feh, I guess you're right. It would cause WAY too much confusion, and confusion usually=wasted bandwith.(spelling?) Right?

Well, no, the reasoning for "no sub-forums" is because the coding doesn't work that way. XD

Just, uh, pointing out the facts. Although I do agree it'd be confusing and it'd add more job for us because we'd have to check what belongs in what and move everything here and there.
