Ch 10
Explosive Expert of Darkness.



"Netto, looks like Jasmine and Mary are here for their shift." Torakichi said noticing Mary and Jasmine who were climbing up the lader to the dishes.

"Hey Jasmine, Mary." Netto said as they took their stations and Netto and Torakichi climbed down. "Torakichi, this sucks, I mean we have to keep two sets of eyes up their 24/7 just because of the attack." Netto complained as he walked inside.

"Netto, we should see what we know about the DArQ, other than the fact that they are the reason we have to sit up there in six hour shifts." I said as Netto and Torakichi sat down.

"It isn't The DArQ that we need to now about. We need info on the Quintet. The Quintet is causing the trouble, they cetainly are part of the Dark Army but they are the highest part that we now of." Ciel said looking at the group from one of the many computers inthe room.

"Yeah, the generals of the Dark Army Quintet were, Centaurman, Groundman, Waveman and Sol. They might of had a fifth that was destroyed by them but Sol, and Waveman never mentioned one. The Quintet are the only navis in the Dark Army with Net Ops. Keiichirou I believe was the lowest ranking of the Quintet. He seems to have a thing for dangerous games using stuff that clowns find funny for evil." Fujin said streatching out on a couch.

"I think you are right, but I doubt Keiichirou and Clownman were doing their best, they were toying with us." I said looking at the others.

"That is probably because they were trying to test you against them, they couldn't acurately gauge your abilities when you faced their solo navis or even the generals." Ciel said before turning back to her computer.

"Hideto, are you sure this is a good idea?" A voice asked in a dark alley way. "Please answer me Hideto." the voice pleaded.

"I am Yami Bakuha, the Explosive Devil! Hideto is no more, he hasn't existed since I came to be, since DArQ first chose him to be in the quintet." another voice said, this one belonged to a kid wearing a black cloak much like Keiichirou's. He was staring at his PET.

"Hideto, this isn't you. I don't care what you say, Hideto, you are a kind soul you don't need to do anything for the Quintet." a voice said from his PET.

"Listen Grenademan, Hideto died when he joined the Quintet and I was born, you are my navi and got your great power when Hideto died, you will obay me!" the cloaked figure shouted at his navi. Grenademan wore a dark camo outfit, with two amo sashes covered in grenades. his boots, gloves, chest plate, and helmet had a grenade texture to them but a blackish blue color. Apon the center of his chestplate was his emblem, rather simplistic, considering it was just a grenade.

"Lets just get this job done, you know I don't like doing this stuff though." Grenademan complained as Hideto plugged him into a near by Street light. "Just have to move this and that, attatch these and there. It is complete these set of lights are ready." Grenademan said as he logged out.

Yami walked down the road and zig zagged through several alleyways before finding a mechanical cart. " This will do for the largest of the bombs. Those stupid Net Saviors wont know what is happening when half of Akihara is destroyed by massive explosions." He said laughing as he plugged in Grenademan who hastily set up a large grenade shaped bomb, then logged out.
Yami started to walk of when he heard a noise, he quickly turned to see a missile flying straight at him.

"Stupid kid, leave my stuff alone." an old man said who was now standing with the cart. Yami jumped aside at the right moment and the missile destroyed a chunk of the wall behind him. The old man lifted kept his head down and walked of with his cart.

"Odd old man, trying to kill me. I bet he didn't even know what I did to that cart, who cares though he will just be one of many." The kid said cruely as he walked off with his PET in hand.

The old man jumped into his cart and it flew after the kid. He was yelling and shaking his fist at the kid who just looked back then started to run faster. "Crazy old man. I am to close to trigger them, heck as long as I am in this part of Akihara I cant trigger them with out killing my self." the kid said as he rounded another corner with the cart still chasing him.

"Trigger what? What are you planning on blowing up?"

"I guess I could tell you since you are just an old man. Half of Akihara is going to be rubble real soon, along with you that is!"

"That is some valuable information. Do you know who I am?"

"Your are an old man, that is going to soon be dead!" Yami said coldly.

"I am not going to die soon. Your plan will fail that is gaurenteed!"

"Grenademan, single detonation, now!" Yami shouted.

"Yes Hideto!" Grenademan said as he pulled out a small device and removed a large pin from it.

"Never call me Hideto again!" Yami shouted at his navi when he noticed the old man was racing towards him. Suddenly the cart exploded and the oldman jumped out seconds before detonation barely escapping. Yami jump to the side and the explosion burnt the lower half of his cloak revealing his army green jeans, his hood fell mack revealing his short black hair, styled like Netto's. "You.... you're Dr. Wily." Yami said noticing who he attacked.

"That is right, I am. You look like you regret planting the bomb in my cart right." Dr. Wily said as he stood up and coughed.

"See ya later old man!" Yami said before running off.

I stepped out of SciLab to get some fress air only to find Dr. Wily walking towards the building. "Where is Dr. Hikari?"
Dr.Wily asked as he slowly approached the building.

"What happened to you?" I asked not knowing if I should answer his question or not.

"An explosion, some kid in a cloak!" Dr. Wily said and I instantly turned and ran back into the building. I ran to Dr. Hikari's Lab.

"Dr. Wily was attacked by a member of the Quintet!" I said as soon as I entered the lab.

"Where is he now?" Yuuichirou asked as he jumped up from his seat.

"Out front, he isn't in great shape." I said as I stepped aside for him to enter the hall.

"Gather everyone in, the lab that Ciel is currently using. It has the best view of the dishes, have Meijin call Dark Miyabi and Yuriko back, they can watch the dishes during the meeting. Once everyone is gathered you and Netto are to take over the gaurd shift till Dark and Yuriko get here!" Yuuichirou said and I nodded before proceeding to do as he said.

When the meeting was over Meijin split everyone up into groups and sent us to different parts of town. The goal was to destroy as many of the bombs as possible, in order to minimize the damage. The groups were Mary and Jasmine, Laika and Pride, Charlie and Nenji, Enzan and Netto, Torakichi and Dingo, Fujin and Dekao, Tohru and Chisao, Meiru and myself.
Yuriko and Dark had gaurd duty.

The main mission was easy, well once we did locate the bombs, they were easily destroyed. A few minutes into the search an explosion destroyed several buildings. Apparently we had destroyed enough of the grenade bombs to reduce the damage to minimal or so we thought because right after that a few more buildings colapsed. With in five minutes an entire 15 block area of the town was rubble.

"Meijin, sorry but I guess we didn't destroy enough of them to reduce the damage. We all underestimated The Quintet!" I said into my PET.

"That is why the second Dr. Wily told me what happened I had Meijin and Ciel send out an emergency evacuation notice to that entire half of town. But thankfully you did reduce it to only 15 blocks instead of half of the town." Yuuichirou said from behind Meijin.

"Yeah I know but still, that is a lot of people with out a place to work or a place to stay!" I said

"We will reconstruct it asap. Until then we have sucessfully relocated them and they can get some temporary jobs." Meijin said.

"How touching, can we have some fun? Grenademan wants to play!" a voice said from behind me. I turned to see a kid wearing a black cloak. "So shall we net battle or shall I set up some more bombs?"

"So you are the member of The Quintet,. who caused this. What do you go by?" I said staring at him.

"Yami Bakuha, The Explosive Devil!" he said staring at me and Meiru. "Plug in, Grenademan, transmission!" he said aiming his PET at a nearby lamp post. Me and Meiru plugged our navis in and prepared to fight him. Grenademan's first move was to start throwing countless bombs at Blazeman and Roll.

As the grenades flew towards the navis another navi jumped in intercepting them. They hit the navi and exploded knocking him to the ground. "It....it's Mugen!" Roll shouted looking at the yellow navi on the ground.

I turned around to see Fujin standing be hind Meiru and me with a smile on his face. "Meiru have Roll stay with Mugen. Blazeman should be able to take care of Grenademan!" I said and Meiru nodded. Fujin was using recovery chip after recovery chip with out much prevail.

"Blazeman I think I have just the chips for this situation.Program Advance! Heat Shotgun, triple slot in!" I said as I slotted in the chips. Blazeman's hands turned into red busters then formed into a large red one.

"Heat Spreader!" Blazeman shouted fireing the Program advance directly at Grenademan.

"Plug out! Grenademan." Yami said right before the attack would of hit. He ran off, I would of went after him but getting Fujin's navi to SciLab was more important in my mind.

"Good job Yami, you and Keiichirou may of technically lost but you have not been defeated and that is what counts right now." the cloaked figure said to his minions who knealed before him. "The Star of Wind will surely stop them. Or at least deal a devastating blow to the Net Saviors. She is one of the strongest I know, only one person between her and me so I am sure that she will do fine." he said as he started to laugh maniacally.

Fujin, Meiru and myself ran into Meijin's lab and started to yell at him. Fujin tossed his PET at him " Mugen is badly damaged, I think you are the only one capable of repairing him."

"I'll see what I can do, it might take a couple days or maybe 3, 4 at the very most. It all depends on how damaged he is, and how much time I have when I am not dealling with these crisises." Meijin said and we left.

"I am sure he can fix Mugen. I mean he is the greatest navi reasearcher I know of." I said as we walked down the side walk away from SciLab

"That is true, I mean he came up with the idea for the Rush Synchro chip. Plus he recovered Fireman from Heatman's data in just a couple hours when Heatman barely had any data remaining." Meiru said trying to reassure her cousin.

"Thanks, I guess I have to be positive about this right!" Fujin said when we reached Netto's house. He hadn't said anything since we left SciLab so I figured him saying something now was better then how he was most of the walk.

Next Chapter

The third member of the quintet makes her apearance. She decides to attack Chisao, Tohru, and Torakichi by sending them letters that lead them right into her trap. With all the netsaviors busy who will come to their aid?

Ch 11
Suffication Trap! Enter "The Star of Wind!"

"Torakichi, come on, Hot Springs are cool!" Tohru said trying to get Torakichi to go with him and Chisao to a new hot spring they were invited to.

"Only if Meiru is going with!" Torakichi shouted.

"Torakichi, Meiru has work to do. She can't go becuase she is on gaurd duty with Jasmine. Plus going with them could do you some good." I said trying to convince Torakichi to go.

"No means no!" Torakichi shouted.

"Well maybe you should go to help protect Chisao. I mean Tohru is a Net Savior there for he is a target of The Quintet. If they attacked Tohru, well Chisao and Tohru would have a hard time stopping them, but if you went with they wouldn't have ot worry!" I said

"Well how about they don't go then they wont be in so much danger!" Torakichi shouted.

"Do I have to tell Meiru that all you do is think about her? I mean I heard you dreaming about her, Meiru you are soo beautiful I am soo glad that you married me, and not Netto!" I said imitating Torakichi.

"I don't talk in my sleep!" he said trying to defend himself

"Oh yeah?" Blazeman asked as he hit played a recording of Torakichi's voice saying what I had just said. "Then who was that?"

"Umm, well that was uhh... Fine I'll go but you better not play that to Meiru!" Torakichi said angrily as he walked of Following Tohru and Chisao.

"We won't we have other stuff we could let her hear." I said when Torakichi was out of ear shot.

"That was down right cruel you know that Mark!" Fujin said staring at the sky. "Well we should head to Sci Lab I mean I need to check the progress of Mugen's repairs." he said sounding gloomy.

"Stupid kids, now all we need is to wait for them to enter. Then we can see how long they last till they run out of oxygen!" said a figure in a white cloak. She sat in a room staring at several monitors, one of which showed Tohru, Chisao, and Torakichi aproaching the building.

"This is the address, but it doesn't look like that much of a hot spring to me!" Torakichi said before turning to walk off.

"Torakichi, let's go! You just don't wan't to go in because Meiru isn't here!" Tohru said laughing.

Chisao ran inside and called for Torakichi, and Tohru to follow. When they entered, they noticed that inside was richly decorated, almost too nice to be a hot spring. The doors suddenly all locked and cover's slid over all possible Plug in sensors.
"This isn't good right Tohru?" Chisao said in a paniced tone.

"Stay calm I am sure we can find a way out. Iceman, send a distress call just incase!" Tohru shouted.

"I don't think he'll be sending anyone any messages. When you three were panicing, I took the oportunity and took your navis!" A tall navi with icey blue body suit, orange chestplate, gloves, and boots. His mask wore no helmet, but instead had a silver tengu mask, and wings.

"Who are you?" Tohru shouted noticing it was getting harder to breathe.

"I am Tenguman! Don't worry the air is being syphoned out of the room, see ya!" Tenguman said introducing himself then vanishing. The cloaked figure walked into the room and took the PETs then returned to the room she came from. The door closed sealing the room that Tohru, Chisao, and Torakichi were in completly sealed.

"Meijin, I can't seem to contact Tohru, Chisao, or Torakichi at all! I think something happened to them." Ciel said stepping into Meijin's lab.

I suddenly jumped when I heard her, "I figured that you'd have no problem contacting Torakichi, after all he was refusing to go at first."

"Tohru and Chisao probably are having to much fun so that is why it is hard to contact them. They might of forced Torakichi into leaving his PET off like theirs." Netto said stepping in, "I don't think you shoudl worry I mean they can handle themselves."

"I agree with Netto, they have only been gone half an hour." I said looking leaning back.

"Enzan and Raoul are out of the country, they are busy trying to get as many Net Saviors as possible transfered to here and Sharo. Meiru, Mary, Jasmine, and Netto are changing duty every 3 hours. Dingo, Dekao, and everyone else from Maha Ichiban, are feeding everyone that is handling the reconstruction. Captain Beef, Miyumiyu, and Black Rose are taking care of the civilian complaints. Charlie, Nenji, Dark, Tesla, and Yuriko are busy with managing the reconstruction. Laika, and Pride are trying to figure out a way to stop the quintet as soon as they start using the programs they stole!" Meijin said glaring at me, "Fujin is helping me repair his navi and you are just laying around why?"

"Hey, I am thinking of strategies. Plus someone has to keep an eye on Wily!" I said pullingo out a small screen that showed Dr. Wily on it.

"You do realize that Dr. Wily knows you are spying on him, he can easily destroy your little camera that is following him!" Yuuichirou said as he walked into the lab.

"So I am still doing something." I said stretching out in the chair I was in.

"It is almost impossible to breath now. To make things worse they just think we are having a good time." Tohru said horsely looking around trying to use as little air as possible.

"We are going to pass out soon you do realize that this is ALL YOUR FAULT!" Torakichi said angrily.

"With out PETs we can't send any sort of distress signal out!" Chisao said more worried than the other two because of his age.

In the other room the cloaked figure stared at the screen "I wish that some more Net Saviors would show up so I could actually have some fun." she said before clancing at the screens again. On one of the outside ones she notice a figure in a cloak much like hers, "Why is Yami, or Keiichirou here?"

The figure outside was weraring a long red robe hiding any distinguishing features. Not a single part of it's body could be seen. He slowly mad his way to the door and lifted his arm towards were the plug in sensor was.

"I see, so it isn't one of my team mates. That means, Plug In!! Tenguman, Transmission!" she shouted pluging her navi into the system.

Outside the odd figure stepped back and started to walk off. It stopped moving when he was directly outside of the room the 3rd member of the quintet was in. The figure pulled of his hood revealing that he was none other than Forte, he waltzed through the wall, and shoved Tenguman's NetOp out of his way.hoved his hand into the nearest plugin panel and started to scream.

She stood still staring at Shuryou, she didn't know that Forte was in his body so she smirked and grabbed a bunch of chips to slot them in.

"So you are the one that syphoned the air out of that room!" Forte shouted staring at Tenguman.

"Forte, I never thought you'd finally decide to join the army! Personally I always thought you'd be the perfect navi for the leader!" Tenguman said laughing.

"I am NOBODY's navi do you understand that!" Forte shouted as he charged up his Earth Destroyer attack.

"Too bad then I guess I have to destroy you Forte!" Tenguman said as he redied his blade.

"Z Saver!" A voice said as Tenguman was suddenly struck down from behind. There stood a navi in red armor, he was tall and had decent legnth blonde hair. His armor was a scratched and he didn't look like he was in that great of a shape. "Forte, why would you waste your energy on the likes of the lower members of the Quintet, you know they are absolutly no match for you so why bother with them?" The navi asked.

Tenguman's net-op was busy slotting in recovery chips, she paid no attention to what was going on in the cyberworld.

"I didn't need any help nor did I want any!" Forte said angrily.

"Forte, I came to aid the kidnapped navi's not you. Tenguman kidnapped them so I attacked him. If it affended you then excuse me but I was doing as ordered."

"Well next time make sure your orders have nothing to do with any were I am!" Forte said before returning to Shuryou and punching a hole in the door to where Tohru, and the other two were. He turned after noticing air flowing into the room. "I may dislike humans, but there is someone I disliske more right know and that is the Quintet. Luckily for them I hate your group enough to save them. I guess I will spare you so you can tell your boss my feelings for him. With that Forte walked off.

The red navi quickly freed Iceman, Kingman, and Springman before leaving. Blizzardman used his Blizzard to freeze Tenguman, Springman and Kingman jumped up and slammed into the frozen navi. Tenguman screamed in pain and his Net op plugged him out before running off.

"You feel that?" Torakichi asked

"It feels like air!" Chisao commented noticing a door opening.

"I guess that Iceman and them some how opened that door!" Tohru said as he stood up and walked through it noticing his Pet on the table with Iceman in it. Kingman and Springman were in their respective PETs. Tohru looked at a hand written note sitting beside the PETs.

It read- I am the Star of Wind, my name is of no importance to you! This time you survived because of an unknown navi. Next time you won't be so lucky!- Tohru stared at this before grabbing it, and taking Torakichi, and Chisao their PETs.

"What do you mean Forte came to your rescue!?" Tohru shouted as he walked into SciLab getting a good share of odd looks.

"Just that! Forte showed up and almost destroyed Tenguman."Iceman said

"But that is when some red navi showed up and told Forte he shouldn't wast his energy on The Quintet's navis. He didn't look so trust worthy, he looked like he loved to fight and that is all he lived for. But that odd one did free us from the electricity field." Springman said

"I am not sure if we can trust him though." Iceman said as they stepped into Meijin's lab. They told us what happend before heading home. They gave Meijin the letter, then Fujin and myself were sent to keep an eye on them. Netto was also sent home relieved of gaurd duty to keep an eye on Torakichi, just incase there was another attack.

Forte to the rescue? I liked the SDK'ish feel in chapter 10 (Benitora Vs. Hidetada= Yami Bakuha Vs. Hideto). So he dislikes being called his true name huh? Kinda like how [spoil:d130d576bc]Napalmman dislikes being called Nenjiro in Stream. [/spoil:d130d576bc]. I like how Shopping Cart-sama has finally shown his wrinkled face! Great fic so far.
