Super Smash Brothers: Melee: Favoriate Characters

Which character (assuming you unlock all the secret characters) do you feel comfortable playing as?

I have four:

1) Mario
2) Dr. Mario
3) Ganon
4) Zelda

I am REALLY good as Mario and can prove it to ANYONE in these boards.

I usually just stick with Captain Falcon or Sheik and use nothing but her smash attacks.

I could probably take a video or something as proof, but I dunno. :/

Marth, Roy and Kirby for me. I annoy my brother by playing as Marth and Roy all the time. I usually just play as Kirby because of I can. XD
...of course, even if I'm slightly good with Marth and Roy, my brother still owns me with Bowser X.x

Marth, Zelda, and Pikachu. I've won several SSBM tourneys in my area using Marth. Zelda is really fun to play with (Din's Fire Evil or Very Mad

). Pikachu has really annoying moves...

-Marth, because he's cool, he's fast and his sword attacks are effective, albeit not that strong.
-Zelda, her attacks hit multiple times and she's good if you play defensively.
-Link, a little unathletic but he's got a good mix of long and short range attacks. He was definately improved than from the N64 SSB.
-Bowser, super strong, and his up+b move makes mincemeat out of most of the people I played against.
-Peach, she can float straight forward, not like Kirby or Jigglyputt who go upwards a little bit. Her attacks are decent, although a little weak. Sometimes, however, she pulls out a plant with a zombie face, and when thrown it hits for like 20 damage.

Roy could've been cool, but he's basically another Marth, but he looks different, and is slightly slower. Same goes to Pichu/Pikachu; they're pretty much the same, although Pichu hurts himself. And Mario/Dr. Mario; they're the same but different outfits. Ganondorf/Captain Falcon; same moves at their disposal but Ganondorf is stronger but slow. And I mean SLOW.

I'm extremely crappy as Mario; I couldn't even beat the 10 man melee with him. I seriously tried my best, but this defeat was funny nonetheless!

hmmm... Roy, Samus, Link (Young and Adult), Dr. Mario, Luigi (yes, they ARE different), and that's about it, really. basically anyone from games i like.

And then there's Pichu... He's so cute and I can still beat the stuffing out of my opponents with him like Falco. Laughing

Oh, and Mewtwo is a great fighting choice too! Smile

What?! No love for the Ice Climbers. :(

Well, my favorite to play as are the Ice Climbers and Ness. I like the Ice Climbers because they're fun to play with. I also like smashing people into the air with their hammers. I've been using Ness since the first game, he seemed more of a defensive type in Melee which I like. Also it's fun annoying people with PK thunders. :D

These are the character's I'm strong with...I hate distance. I'm more the up and close bop 'em fighter, plus Roy's sword only does the most damage when you hit with the center. Marth get's a little more breath since he does the most with his tip. Link is all around, so I try to use the trickery to my advantage. Ness... is just plain fun... XD

Kirby is too... XD

I may not own the game (yet), but when I play at my friends house, I like to use; Jigglypuff, Pikachu, Shiek, and Kirby. If I ever got the game I might master Shiek in case I ever get to go to a tournament.

have you ever done 15-Minute Melee with Peach? all you have to do is float from one side to the other and slap anyone in the way. really ingenious. a friend taught me that little trick.

oh, and what's everyone's favorite stage? i personally like, what's it called? Big Blue?????? it's the side-scroller with the F-Zero cars. that one was awesome.
