Ha, Me n' my sister have Pokemon Ruby, and mou, a stupid link error while the pokemon were going through the link! Of course, we restart up our SPs, and guess what?! Both of our games are corrupted! Ne, luckily fer us, we could just continue from our last save. But this one REALLY pisses me off...

I was playing SA2B(Sonic Adventure 2 Battle) in my Chao data, mind me, I was obsessed.(But that doesn't matter.) When I finally get my chao to die the second time, and I'm about to give him the last animal...bam, power outage. not only was he reverted back to a neutral chao, I lost my most powerful chao, Raven. All his stats except fer stamina were all at 99. Sux, huh? To this day I'm still looking for him, hoping I'll find him on that one memory card I never checked. Not likely though.

I was playing Star Ocean Second Story. I was about to save it. The bar went 50% up then my stupid playstation stopped detecting my memory card for one second. It said something like save failure. I tried to save again and where my old data was, it said "Star Ocean 2 data is faulty".

Another angering data corruption I had was with Dragon Warrior IV. I popped the game into my NES, then the screen was all scrambled up. I took out the game, cleaned it, and popped it in again. Then after I pressed start, I heard the unmistakable music that plays when you equip a cursed item or when a data file has been corrupted. And I got really far, too and had like 4 metal babble shields! Oh well. That game's not too hard anyways; I easily got there again. But getting metal babble shields is a different story.

I just remembered another PSO related corruption. My friend and I were both doing a quest online, To The Future (More commonly referred toas TTF), whjen all of the sudden, neither of us could pick up items. I tried to type in something and ask him if he knew what was happening, but after I typed it in, nothing happened. He wasn't speaking either, so that meant one of the most feared things in PSO was coming for both of us: The BSOD. Therefore, we both got one, and after awhile we were both disconnected. I logged back on and found out that I was pretty lucky, only losing items I didn't have equipped (Standard items like Monomates.) When my friend came back on, he came back on with another character and told me the BSOD had corrupted the character he was using just before the BSOD. That must've sucked, because that guy was level 199. Luckily, He has recreated the character and has all of his rares back, and the character is now level 78.

Ouch. The same exact thing happened to ChibiForte, except only once. However, she just gave up and sold the game.

My Pokemon red version was erased somehow for some reason (I never selected 'New Game'), I had all the pokemon (with the exeption of Mew) and completed the story line. I cried that day.

Interact's N64 Memory Card Plus. It's the only one I ever had and it conveniently started corrupting itself when the N64 was replaced. It won't stop corrupting itself now, and I've really been wanting to play Flying Dragon again and the passwords just don't save enough. I had both secret characters, the Gold Dragon Claw, Phoenix Glove, those three CD items, etc., and everyone at level four.

Luckily it's the only 3rd party accessory that I need, but I'm making certain not by any of Intercrap's stuff again.

You play Flying Dragon, too? I love that game! I like to use Metal Ryuhi or regular Ryuhi. I got all the Medals too!

But, my corruption happened to my Metroid Fusion....

I had EVERY SINGLE THING IN THE WHOLE FRIGGIN' GAME!!! I EVEN HAD THE SECRET ENDINGS!!!

Then the next day when I wanted to show off the file to my friends and show them the secret picture, BOOM! all the files are straight gone! I never even got to connect it to unlock the NES Metroid for Prime 1!

I think this counts, but because of a glitch in Harvest Moon A wonderful Life I now have to start all over from the beginning. Which blows because I had four chickens, a horse, two cows, and a sheep. *sigh* oh well.

I've got two:

1) I was letting my friend play my copy of PokeMon Red when he dropped the Game Boy onto a CEMTENT pathway, which seemed to break the cartridge (GB was fine). I spent so much time training those buggers...

2) Super Mario 64 was the game. Not very long after I got all 120 stars, I put the cartridge into the console and turned it on. When the menu showed up, all of the files said "New Game". I almost had a panic attack as I turned the N64 off and pulled out the game. I then blew into the cartridge, put it back in, and everything was back to normal (made me feel relieved).

It seems quite a few people has had their SAB2 file erased. It happend to me too. Twice. Recently, when i turned on the game to get more emblems, (Im on a role) the file was blank. I quickly turned off the game, then turned it back on, and the file was back to normal. It happend with my chao too. It was really weird, it erased, then i saved the game because i really thought it was truly erased, but later everything was back.

I also accidently erased my MBN2 file. I was doing new game just for fun because i was bored, i defeated Airman, went to Lan's bed, Megaman asked if i wanted to save, i said yes. It was my fault, i kept pressing the A button and i wasn't paying attention. My sibling was able to give me some good battle chips. Really good ones compared to the ones you get in the begining of the game. It really helped me too.

O.o, I want emerald now...

My SP erased my Battle Network 5 game. I wittnessed my data hit the dust. For some reason, the game froze one time, then the next time I turned it on, my data was gone. Over 200 hours of playing was erased.

Second: Just lately. I was playing my EXE5: TOB rom when I saved over my main file at a title screen (*dies*). So I had to go to a previous save game that was waaay back..buuuh *shudders*

Yeah, I hate when I do that too. That's why I never use Save States anymore.

Unless the game has "Last" and 'Blade" in it's title.

But, enough of that.

Another one of these corruptions happened just today to me. I was playing with my Sword of Mana and when I saved the game froze and then reset itself. I check back and my level 68 Hero is gone, only my older bro's file is still there.

Same thing happened to my Super Metroid a few weeks back, the first two slots erased themselves for some reason. (One of them was 100% with less than 1 hour!!!) But the bottom and crappy slot was just fine!

Sometimes I think my games hate me, because it's always my files that delete themselves! But, I really don't understand the times when my files do erase then recover by the next day... It happened to my Pokemon Red, Yellow, Silver, Donkey Kong 64, Rockman Dash (N64), Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga, Megaman Zero 3, and my Street Fighter Zero 3 Upper (GBA).

Why? I have no clue....

I had one of those PSX Mega Memory cards with pages and pages of data on it. Some of you may know of these and how unreliable they are. I thought they were really cool and had no idea that they would screw up. One day it just stopped changing pages... So I lost a TON of saved data including all my FF7 and 8 stuff. I was SO ticked. I took the thing apart, slammed it into the wall, threw it across the room, but it still didn't change pages. Heh. Surprisingly, it still functions as a single memory card. I guess its true what they say. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Wink

I also got an Action Replay once and put in a bunch of codes for the Zelda Bonus Disk, then the next day I tried to access them again and they were gone. I forgot that the AR stupidly has the option to NOT save your code changes turned on as default. -.- Some of those codes take forever to put in by hand.

Well once I went to my friend's house for a sleepover when I was younger ^_^ and I brought my GBP and Pokemon Silver. My game, of course, had my only level 100 pokemon(Typhlosion) ever and he wanted to play it. I let him play a new game and I told him he could save it(I have no idea why I said that) and he did, so Bye Bye Mister level 100 Typhlosion T_T . I lost the game catridge later on in my years anyway. >_<

...On thursday I was playing TOS, fighting Mithos just for jun, and when the credits were over and it asked me to save, I accidentally saved over my main file TOT. It's ironic that I erased the file in the same place (my grandparent's house) that I started it in.

Oh well, I've been meaning to start a new game for a while, I guess now I have to.
