Megaman Axess Discussion *spoilers*

This episode isn't called "The New PET." That's next week. This episode was "Nebula's Great Invasion." And, yes, MegaMan is still on the schedule. Pay more attention to my posting. This new schedule is for the FALL. It's not fall yet.

As for why ThunderMan can't get strangled but Lan can... Lan getting strangled was the prolonged climax of that entire episode. I didn't even notice ThunderMan's strangling was cut until you guys said so. What's it really matter if you guys are upset about all of this anyway? It's not like you're not going to still watch it next week...

I know what you mean, just deal with the fact that the FCC doesnt want such violence on tv so early in the morning sorry to say the reason well if you dont know then you aint old enough to handle the truth.

Well,I had no complaints. Brightman still maintained his "Check it out!" line, and he sounded cool (reminds me of Burnerman....).

I didn't even mind the name changes since Coldman does look like a fridge ( FRIDGE-CANNON! Eat my food you klutz!),though I thought Novaman was a bit off at first,but now it sounds kinda cool to say.

And was it just me,or did it seem a bit like a 2-on-2-on-2 battle since Coldman was nearly scorched and whatnot? Though they ALL retreated at once,blah.

I never liked this episode anyway, so I didn't really care if anything was changed with it. As for BrightMan, yeah... his voice sounded like BurnerMan's. I'd take a shot in the dark and say it's the same guy.

The check it out thing balences out the name thing. Plus since he's fridgeman I kind of thought he would shoot a cold beer at them. heh heh

Fridgeman is a horrid name for Coldman, Freezerman would be better.

I at first thought that Bright's voice actor was the same as Burner's but I have a feeling it is either voice actor for Kira Yamato or Athrun Zala from Gundam Seed. Where as Burner's voice actor is the voice actor for InuYasha(or at least that is who it sounds like to me.)

Starman was only named Novaman because of his Meteor attack being the only one used in the episode.

I hate Brights voice though mainly when he says Check it out. If the voice actor did it like it was supposed to be instead of in a calm normal tone of voice the voice wouldn't bug me so much but Brightman doesn't say "Check it out." he says "Check it out!" difference in tone where as in the dub it is "Check it out."

They also named StarMan NovaMan because there is a DC comic character of the same name among others.

As for ColdMan, maybe they did that for fun Laughing

RAWR! I missed this one cause my little sister was hogging the TV! And I wanted to see this ep SO badly!

The name changes were pretty bad. I can see a shred of logic with Fridgeman, but, as Neo said, the name makes him sound like he shoots beer at people rather than puffs of cold air. Articman would've been better. And now to Star-I mean Novaman... there goes the name of a character from my fanfic-in-progress... Wishman would've been better.

I'm not going to see next week's either because I'll be at my dad's house and he doesn't have a TV!

Stupid sister... Megaman is far superior to any of the crap ABC kids can shovel out...

I agree with you, ComicX6! MegaMan is waaaaaaay superior to all the other stuff on other channels (i.e. ABC Family, 4KidsTV, Jetix, etc.) Besides, after September 17th, I wouldn't have anything good to watch on Saturday mornings.

Bleh, didn't like the way this episode turned out. "Fridge"man I can take, but Novaman? Albeit the name changes, the episode was decent, but the freezeframes and reused footage killed my eyes. >_>

I don't see what the big deal about a majority of the name changes is. It's usually to characters that we barely ever see. Metalman, for example, has two whole appearances... Junkman has three... Plantman died in his episode, and Starman's buying the farm next week. (Even if we do eventually see that big copy army of all these navis in a later episode, they're pretty much made of glass.) So who cares? The really important characters are typically being kept in-tact. That's all that should matter. It's obvious now that the name changes are just ShoPro's way of having some slap-happy fun. Go with it.

What the disk drive did they do to ThunderMan's voice? They messed with the filter, deepened the voice, or something, but that's not the ThunderMan I know and love... Gah...

Anyways, I don't get too upset over name changes. NovaMan, FridgeMan (I think it's just because he looks like a 'fridge), they're bearable.

SwordMan's VA was close, but it didn't seem to fit him.

'Nova'Man and 'Fridge'Man sounded identical to me.

I really didn't like the battle scene.

All in all, it wasn't one of the better dubs, but it wouldn't surprise me if they rushed this one instead of taking their time on it.

Now if they'd only realize that the FCC doesn't care squat about TV stations and lets them do whatever they want; they'll only get involved if there's a (large) national outcry. (Trust me, I know)

I missed it while I was at Otakon, but if anyone taped it, I'd REALLY appreciate it if someone posted up a sound clip of what our new Darkloids sound like. Name changes, blah. Like I mentioned, I don't care about those anymore, I just go with it and call them by the name I heard them being called first. PAC prettymuch put the importance of the main characters keeping their names perfectly.

My sister (ChibiForte) taped it, so I'll put up sound clips of the DarkLoids voices once I find my microphone for my computer. As for what I thought of the episode, It was good. Nothing really irked me, except for the name Fridgeman. However, I can live with it. Plus, Novaman really isn't that bad of a name change, and they kept Brightman's "Check it out!" and his personality. I didn't really thik the line about the dirty hat was that funny, though.

Well I'm not gonna get to see this episode now, because apparantly my dad screwed up with the taping, so hopefully it will be on the fserve at some point since the show will be absent for a while.

I'm glad to hear that Brightman was kept so close to the original, and I remember hearing a few people say that Swordman sounded like Paul Dobson. What did Starman and Coldman sound like? (...and don't make any clever jokes about me not calling them by their new names, it won't make you look cool, sorry) I was guessing that Starman would sound more like a girl, since he has a high voice in the japanese version, but people were griping about how his voice sucked, and poor Coldman is without the formerly predicted Russian Accent.

Oh and CFStarman, thanks I appreciate that. Or if anyone else who taped the episode and has a mic, again I'd really appreciate a clip, considering I probably won't see this episode for a LONG while...I also missed Shaman King and One Piece. GRR >_<

Mmmmkay. My thoughts on the episode....
I must admit this is one of the better episodes of Axess I've seen soi far. Brightman's "check it out" phrase was kind of bland, but seeing him made'im #4 on my favorite navi list. Swordman's VA was freaky, and not very accurate in my opinion. Novaman fits and is so far my favorite dub name (except for Napalm-Moltanic). Coldman annoyed the crap out of me, but was cool to see fight. The battle scene was very cool. The pairing od Thunderman and Searchman rocked. And there thundery scope cyclone of d00m was pretty cool looking. I still despise Thunderman's VA though...

I believe Thunderman was voiced by David Kaye, same as Protoman's VA, using a good-guy version of his Megatron voice. At least that's what I remember when I saw him a while ago.
