Starman's voice was quite surprising. I expected something kind of girly too, or at least higher-pitched... but it had more of a "Cutman" twang to it, if you know what I mean. Oh well... [spoil:ef1a14e657]he dies this Saturday[/spoil:ef1a14e657], so it's not like it matters.

Indeed. Its kind of pathetic [spoil:2b7ca64d36]how short a time Starman and Brightman last. There both pretty cool characters and certainly didnt deserve two episodes before dletion[/spoil:2b7ca64d36]. I also think Plantman could've stayed around a bit longer.

Yeah, it's a real shame some of the best bad gyus die so quick. Oh well, there's nothing we can do about it. Either way, I bring good news and bad enws about the voice clips. Good news, is I found my microphone, and I have the tape right here. Bad news: My microphone is acting up, it keeps recording then it stops at random times, and right now it won't record at all. I'll have my dad look at it, and if lady luck doesn't royally screw me over, I'll have the sound clips up soon, possibly even this evening.

I believe Cold Man's voice is done by the same person who does Penguins voice from the "The Bat Man".

Plantman, Starman, and Brightman... in my opinion... are some of the coolest navis in the series. I would have much rather saw Starman and Brightman for the next few episodes of Axess instead of constant appearances from Coldman and Swordman...

I hihgly agree with you there Saiko (or is it Crimson?) I would've much prefered Brightman and Starman over Coldman and Swordman. They make such boring battle partners. also instead of Beastman going all dark chip crazy I really would've liked to see Plantman go dark chip nuts (and last waaaayyyyy longer)

Seiko, like the watch. As for what I prefer, either (or both) is fine. Just as long as one of them gets in there.

Okay then. Me and my stupid misspelling of names. Are there any new characters that are going to be in the rest of Axess?

New characters... well, let's see... I'll spoiler-protect this. I can't determine whether or not these characters will actually APPEAR... Kids WB might skip their episodes. Nonetheless, the remainder of Axess expects to show (MAJOR SPOILERS HERE)...

[spoil:e01a2c88ea]Thunder Soul, Lilly and Wind(Blast)Man, Wind Soul, Wood Soul, this little robot named Allegro, Bass returns, CrossFusion Roll (sorta), Tensuke, his grandson Kosuke, TopMan, MistMan, one of those little sheep virus things, Junk Soul, CrossFusion SpikeMan, CrossFusion Dark ProtoMan, and CrossFusion LaserMan.[/spoil:e01a2c88ea]

I complletely forgot about all those minor characters from BN4! The appearance of Windman will hopefully be a good one.

I HIGHLY doubt Tom Kenny did so, considering he's never done any voice work for Ocean Studios, but I wouldn't doubt Coldman getting a Penguin-like voice.

I wouldn't be so sure about any other episodes being skipped. Besides, I wanted to see CrossFusion Roll as well as the entire sequence of episode 42.

That would be nice. I doubt there would be any reason for the dubbers to cut any of it short.

About the ep itself--looked good. Introducing four Darkloids did seem a tad much, and killing off one the the navis was necessary, but BrightMan? I would think that they would have killed off the generic SwordMan, since as I recall he wasn't in any of the games....

Voices were on target...except I am still even MORE convinced that Tory's VA has changed or definitely matured at least. Overall, decent episode.

You've obviously never played or heard of Rockman EXE Transmission (MegaMan Network Transmission) on the Gamecube, which is where Brightman, Starman, Needleman, Swordman, and Gravityman all originated from.

That I have not. I must have overlooked SwordMan. My mistake.

Nevertheless...he seems to be the least contrived of the navis featured in the episode...so losing him would not be so detrimental.

Tory is still voiced by Reeece Thompson, the kid is just getting older, simple as that.

HOWEVER, that brings me to something I discovered at Otakon. Saturday afternoon, not long after the OtaRockman meeting, I went to the Inuyasha panel, and it was quite interesting. They had 4 or 5 big fans of the show discussing a lot of in depth stuff about the show, and the two guests that came were a translator of the manga from Viz, and the producer of the english version of the show. I figured this would be my only chance to find out, I asked:

Me: This is kind of a strange dub question, but Kohaku was one of my favorite characters in the show, and I thought his voice actor, Alex Doduk, suited him perfectly. Then suddenly his voice actor just kind of...disappeared. Why was that?

Producer: Well uh...Alex's voice was changing, even when he first started playing Kohaku, and we just couldn't really do it anymore, since...

...and then I think the Sesshomaru Csplayer made some sort of puberty joke while giving himself a scratchy voice. Anyway, now that I knew that...just, WHAT THE HELL? First of all, Alex and Bill Switzer (Chaud) were both great child actors. Plus Alex might've been changing a lot but Bill was pefectly fine when he was playing other voices on other shows. And as for Megaman, if they thought he wasn't suiting Lan anymore, then what was the purpose of getting another VA to play him and make him sound like he's 20something? Besides, you don't just kick out a VA alltogether because of something like THAT. Really, Shopro >> I can totally see Reece Thompson disappearing eventually too...

Which shouldn't be a problem, since Tory is already disappearing too. He does next to nothing in Stream. (OK, so he did next to nothing always, but he barely even appears in Stream.)

But, eh... so the curiosity on Alex is solved... why didn't you ask why they make such unusual name changes? >_>

Some news on the sound clips I said I'd do: My microphone is busted beyond repair, but I'm getting a new one. Problem is, I don't know when so you might want to try asking someone else to do it, Kirbopher. Sorry I couldn't get them.

PAC- You forget that it was the Inuyasha panel, not the MMNTW panel. I could only ask about why Alex disappeared by talking about Kohaku.

CFS- Thanks anyway for trying. If anyone else taped the episode, again I'd reallly appreciate a clip.
