I found Kid Icarus rather easy, last time I beat it, it took me 30 minutes.
but what's really hard for me is:
Ninja Gaiden (NES)
Difficuly: Hard as my [spoil:ca31ff89f5]ass[/spoil:ca31ff89f5]
Reason: The fact that you fall back too far when hit.
Advice: Use the spinning sword thing. (The sub-weapon that makes you attack when you flip)
Beaten: Uh... died on last level then dropped controller and quietly said, "[spoil:ca31ff89f5]Fuck it...."[/spoil:ca31ff89f5] |

GAME: Return to Castle Wolfenstein
DIFFICULTY: Hard as hell
REASONS: Those atlatic female officers were difficult to defeat, and there was a mission in which you have to get to the end without being seen or a alarm going off... I just cant beat the mission in which im at a rocket base, where i have to reach the control room to destroy the rockets before they hit London.
ADVICE: none
BEATEN: not yet, cant beat that damned mission.
GAME: Commandos - Behind enemy lines
DIFFICULTY: easy and hard sometimes
REASONS: Most of the missions are pretty easy. But then, you get to some frustrating mission. Like, kill the Nazis at the bridge, but dont let them detonate the bomb and thus blow up the bridge, or you lose. Or the kill highly ranked german officer. The place is infested with germans. 1 alarm, and the officer flees, thus you fail the mission.
ADVICE: dont do frontal attacks. pause, watch the map, and make a strategy.
BEATEN: Yes, wish i had the money for the other commandos games.
GAME: Crash Bandicoot 2&3
DIFFICULTY: Med/Hard
REASONS: Getting all crystals is easy. But getting all gems is a pain in the ass. Some are nearly impossible to get. And i hate the Jetpack levels in CB2, and the airplane levels in CB3, i just suck with those.
ADVICE: Train a lot. Cant find a gem? go to a faq
BEATEN: Yes, but not the good ending, only the bad ending.
Bad Ending CB2: All crystals, not all gems
Bad Ending CB3: All crystals, not all gems, all relics must be gold or platinum
Good ending both: Get all collectible stuff. |

Haha, did you ever use that thing on bosses? It kills them in like 1 or 2 hits. Yeah, Ninja Gaiden was pretty hard; if you died on the last boss you got sent back to the very beginning of the level, but at least the boss stays dead; you just have to make it there again. More advice; take advantage of the poor RAM; sometimes if you move enough so the enemy goes off the screen, they won't appear. Doesn't always work, though.
8 Eyes (NES)
DIFFICULTY: Not as hard as alot of people make it seem. If it were me, I'd rate it Medium. For others, I'd rate it "Hard, but doable".
REASONS: When you hit the enemies, they flicker for a split second, making them invulnerable for awhile. Then when you beat any level, you supposedly get a stronger sword, but actually, it's only strong against one boss, so to beat the game easily, you have to do the levels in the right order. Some enemies can only be killed by one character, and the sloppy controls don't help, either.
ADVICE: For the order of levels, go Spain, Egypt, Italy, India, Africa, Germany, Arabia. In normal gameplay, do hit and run swordplay. Also, take advantage of the bird and use his dive attack (down+b) to uncover powerups and to attack enemies, particularly the ones who Orin can't kill. You can usually find one powerup on every screen (even outside some of the castles, like Egypt). When fighting bosses, use the White Crystal to stun them, then pummel them with your sword. In the House of Ruth, quickly locate/uncover the hidden powerups and grab them if Orin is about to die, although sometimes only the bird can reach them.
BEATEN: Yes, best was beating all three quests without dying.
Castlevania (NES)
DIFFICULTY: "Hard, but doable" for the first two quests, then "Insane" for the third quest.
REASONS: Enemies tend to swarm you later on, and they hit pretty hard. Some of the bosses are also pretty tough, and I hear in the third quest Dracula kills you in two hits.
ADVICE: Try to get and keep Holy Water and triple shot multiplier. Basically, the weapon you're carrying makes a huge difference between victory and defeat.
BEATEN: Yes, best was beating the first two quests and getting to the Grim Reaper in the third quest. I wonder if my friend really was telling the truth about Dracula killing you in 2 hits.
Golgo 13 (NES)
DIFFICULTY: Very hard
REASONS: 200 life, eh? Sound easy? It counts down every several seconds (1 HP for 10 sec, I believe) and enemies can hit really hard. In some areas, dying sends you back pretty far. The mazes are also hard to get through, unless you make a map. You'll have a hard time beating the final boss unless you know what you're doing.
ADVICE: Not much I can give here. After the jungle, you're in this place with mines and tanks blasting you. When you get in the pan/zoom scenes in these areas, if you're low on health let yourself die on purpose, so you'll restart at this fight. Otherwise, if you die and you're not in the pan/zoom mode, you get sent back to the little guy who taunts you, and that's frustrating to have to repeat the dialogue and the level.
BEATEN: Yes.
DIFFICULTY:

Dragon's Lair (SNES)
Diffculty Insane!
Why? You have low health, your best weapon (Shurikens) can come back and kill you in one hit, and later on, jumps become impossible and you can never find the level exit. There never seems to be an end to the levels, either.
Advice DON'T PLAY
Beaten Not even close. _________________

Metal Storm (NES)
Difficulty: Insane
Reasons: Get hit once and you're dead. Twice if you're lucky and manage to find a shield. As well as a lot of enemies all over the place (sometimes where you need to jump up) and being fired at from most directions.
Advice: None really. Only try and get the shield whenever possible. oO
Beaten: Nope. No where near. I only made it to level 2 with the help of my brother. Died there.
Solar JetMan (NES)
Difficulty: Hard. Very hard, but not insane.
Reasons: Getting the parts you need is extremely hard, especially when it's rather hard to control your little ship (controls can be somewhat unresponsive) and some of the parts are in a very narrow space. Bouncing off the walls alone can kill you. Not to mention for a lot of the parts, you're getting fired at at the same time. As well as the fact that if you're hit, you end up dropping the part and you have to fly back down and retrieve it.
Advice: Aside from avoid hitting walls like the plague? None really.
Beaten: Never. I got fairly far on my own, but getting one part was torture, as I kept dying there. _________________ "Life is too busy to try and stop someone from having a conversation with a fire hydrant." -Dr. Phineas Waldolf Steel
