Starting another...just cause I'm bored. Do you guys wanna know summtin? I have thought up five different ways for Katya to meet Netto and the others...and my first fic was the second way I like. Cyclone and Katya are weaker in that version then they are in my first...and I just didn't want to make it seem like my charas are god-like. Katya's a bit weirder in that version as well...more like me lol. Heh...I'm gonna try and write this and see how peeps react to it...maybe I'll keep going if I get good comments. Yay, here we go... P.S: this fic is a bit darker...

Chapter One:

A boy with dark brown hair sat at a desk in the corner of a large bedroom. It looked as though he had barely finished problem fifteen on his math homework before falling asleep right there, pencil still in hand. A small blue device sat on the desk beside the boy's head, a green light flashing every few seconds on the screen, the indication that it was on. A miniature person with blue armor on identical to the color of the device was visible on the screen. It sighed and rolled its green eyes.

"Netto...Netto!" The boy stirred. "Netto, you have to finish your homework." Netto Hikari's auburn eyes flickered open and he reluctantly sat up, stretching his arms out above his head. He was still in his every day clothes...a white long sleeved shirt with a bright orange vest zipped up over it, black shorts, orange and black tennis shoes, and a blue headband. On the headband was a circle with a red and black marking in the middle of it; the same symbol was engraved on the device.

"It's nine, Rockman...can't I finish it tomorrow?" Netto said, his voice tired. The figure inside of the device shook its head as Netto rubbed his eyes.

"I let you sleep for ten minutes...now it's time for you to get back to work," Rockman stated in a voice that told Netto that this conversation was over. The boy stared at the screen, tracing his finger over the letters 'PET' that were positioned over it. He picked up his pencil after a few minutes and got through two more problems before getting distracted once more.

"Rockman? I've been thinking," he said thoughtfully. His Net Navi looked up.

"That's a first," Rockman teased.

"C'mon, I'm being serious," Netto said with a half smile. Rockman smiled back, deciding to humor his Net Op.

"Okay, okay...what've you been thinking." Netto hesitated, the smile fading from his face. He told Rockman everything...but he had failed to mention his old childhood friend. It had been six years since he'd seen her last, although his father still worked with hers. Dr. Turner was a navi designer and worked on upgrades for various types of navis. He also researched new technological advances and worked on perfecting them so that even the most ignorant person could use them.

"I’ve been thinking...um...I've been thinking about the Grand Prix that's coming up." Not a lie...Netto had been thinking about the competition. This was going the be the second national Nat Battling competition...navis from all over the world battled it out in three domes, working their way up to the final battle. The winner receives the title world's strongest net navi. Netto and Rockman had come a hair's width away from winning the last competition, losing to Enzan Ijuin and his navi, Blues, in the final round.

"We'll win it this time, I'm sure of it. You've gotten a lot stronger since last year," Rockman assured Netto. Netto looked away from his navi, merely nodding. The expression on Rockman's face changed into one of concern. "Netto, are you feeling alright?" The boy quickly nodded.

"I'm fine, Rock...it...it's nothing." Netto forced his expression into a smile that he hoped covered up his guilt for not telling Rockman what really was the matter. His navi looked doubtful, but nodded and didn't ask about it anymore. Netto, relieved, guilty, and tired, silently bent back over his math and started on the last ten problems.

*****

"The competition is in three days. Do you think we're ready?" A girl with chocolate brown hair lay on a bed with red sheets, her hands occupied with a blue and black baseball cap that she was spinning between her fingers. A gray and black device sat on a dresser beside the bed, a female navi in the screen. The navi had gray, blue, and black armor on that covered all of her body and her helmet looked as though it was modeled after a baseball hat, bill and all. Colored goggles covered the upper half of her face, making her green eyes look more like a bluish purple. The navi looked determined as she nodded.

"Absolutely." She chuckled softly and the girl glanced over, her deep brown eyes dark, but also tinted with childish wonder that only ten year olds have. "It's time that the world sees what girls can really do." The navi's Net Op sighed heavily.

"Mother will find out about you. Everyone here will find out...they won't like it one bit, Cyclone. I could lose you." Her voice was very serious, much more solemn then girls her age usually are. Cyclone's smile faded, she didn't say anything for a few seconds, and the girl waited, silently worrying.

"We can't be bothered by that. If it happens, it happens, and we can take care of it when the time comes." She sighed as well. "Katya, I thought you wanted to battle in the Grand Prix." The girl blushed and nodded vigorously.

"Oh, I do!" Cyclone's eyes still looked troubled.

"Then what's the matter? You never doubt yourself." The girl hesitated. Should she tell Cyclone? After all...she'll probably never see him again... Katya shrugged.

"Oh, it's nothing," she said after a while. "It'll be good to get away from this God awful place, won't it?" Katya said blithely, changing the subject purposely. Cyclone nodded, still suspicious but not wanting to pry. "Maybe...maybe I'll make a few friends." Cyclone's eyes flickered to show a new emotion.

"I'm sure you will." It's horrible how people don't like her just because she's a bit different...people these days just have no feelings, she thought sadly. Katya tossed her hat onto the dresser and kicked off her shoes. "Katya, do you always have to sleep in your clothes?" The girl nodded and turned out the light, not giving her navi any room to protest.

"Three days..."

~~~~~
Okay there ya go. Part one of Part two of the time before Katya and Netto are reunited. Comment and criticize pleaze...
Woah, wasn't expecting you to write an alternate version of how they met...Well, so far it's good and mysterious. However, I can't really say anything else until you post more. So far, I like how they meet in Shifting Winds better, but maybe my opinion will change with the next few chapters. Unless you have discontinued this. Either way, good work so far!
Next Chapter...thanks for teh comment CFS. :D
~~~~~

Chapter Two:

"YES!" Netto jumped out of his chair and raced out of the room, his friend Dekao Oyama on his heels. School was out for the summer and Netto was eager to get back home so he and Rockman could train for the tournament tomorow. Dekao had also entered the Grand Prix, and he was going to train with Netto. Two girls, one with blonde hair the other with red, hung back, shaking their heads at the boys. The red head spoke to the blonde, sighing.

"Yaito, you're not entering, are you?" The blonde shook her head. She was a few heads shorter then the other girl and looked to be at least two years younger.

"Glyde and I are perfectly happy with watching you guys," she replied. "Besides, you and Roll are going to use my battle chips and I wouldn't want to make you give them back to us every time I had a match." Yaito smiled at her friend and the other girl nodded.

"Thanks Yaito. I'd better go and see what trouble Netto and Dekao are getting into...I'll see you tomorrow." She waved and started to walk away. The blonde thought for a second before deciding to add something else.

"Oh, Meiru!"

"Yeah?" Yaito paused.

"Make sure you don't lose those chips, okay?" Meiru giggled.

"Okay Yaito. Hehe...bye!"

*****

Netto and Dekao had been at Netto's home for twenty minutes by the time Meiru arrived. The two boys were in Netto's room and their navis had already plugged into Netto's computer. Netto slotted a small chip into his PET before he noticed Meiru standing there watching the battle.

"Hey Meiru, go ahead and Plug In Roll when you're ready to practice," he said. Meiru nodded and took out a pink device. She pointed it at the computer and a red beam of light shot out of the PET, fading into the moniter seconds later. A pink navi appeared in Netto's computer next to Rockman, who was hunching behind a large boulder. Netto's homepage had been transformed into a rock type arena; there were boulders, stones, and pebbles strewn across the hard craggy ground.

"Hey Roll," Rockman greeted his friend before quickly standing and shooting over the top of the boulder with his RockBuster. The red shots riccocheted off of the ground in front of them and a few hit Dekao's navi, Gutsman. The large navi grunted and picked up a rock, chucking it at the place where Rockman and Roll were crouching.

"Eep!" Roll squealed, and she and Rockman ran off in different directions. Two hearts formed in each of Roll's hands and she threw them at Gutsman. They hit the navi dead on and Rockman took the second he was paralyzed to attack with a charged buster attack. The large navi was forced to log out.

"Nice going Roll!" Rockman said happily, his buster gun melting back into his blue gloved hand. Roll ran up to Rockman and they slapped each other high five. In Netto's room, Dekao was throwing a tantrum.

"Not FAIR! You guys teamed up against me!" He stomped his foot. Netto smirked and leaned close to Dekao's face.

"I thought you said you could take on and beat two Rockmans any day," he said smugly. "You can't even beat Rockman and ROLL!" Meiru frowned.

"What's that supposed to mean?" she demanded. Netto's smirk disappeared and was replaced with a sheepish smile.

"N...nothing Meiru!" he said quickly. Dekao laughed.

"I'll leave you two to it...see ya tomorrow at the Grand Prix Netto."

"Eh? Wait!" Netto protested, but Dekao was already out of his bedroom door. Rockman and Roll had logged out and Netto's homepage was back to normal when the boy looked back at his PET. Meiru was pouting, her arms crossed.

"I have to go," she said. Netto hung his head as she walked past.

"See ya tomorrow," he mumbled. Meiru stopped at the door, smiled to herself, and left.

*****

The next day, over four hundred people were gathered at the new location for the second ever Grand Prix. The three domes had been rebuilt, bigger and better then before, and they had new technology in them which made the battle arenas more challenging then that of the last tournament. Meiru, Dekao, and Netto were the only ones out of their group of friends competing this time. The last year, Tohru Hikawa, another of Netto's close friends, had also joined, but he was on vacation with his family in Yumland at the moment. He had promised to watch the tournament on television.

Only about half as many of the people who signed up for the last tournament were participating in this one, and many suspected it was because of the hot competition and the humiliation you got when you lost a battle. After all, the whole tournament is broadcasted live on television and half of the world if not more watches it. The broadcaster for this tournament was a different person; a tall woman with deep black shoulder length hair and icy blue eyes.

"Good afternoon and welcome to the second ever Net Battling Torunament! People from all over the world have come to compete in this tournament...we're seeing those from as far away as Ameroupe! Even though there aren't as many participating, the area is filled to the brim with people eager to battle it out for the title 'Worlds Strongest Net Battlers!

"For those of you just joining us, there are going to be three days of hard battles coming up for the participants. the first day will be single battles, the second day filled with team battles, and the thrid and final day will consist of the final rounds. What are the standings so far?

"Well...we have already witnessed ten fiery battles today and the winners are off the hook until tomorrow. There are many more battles coming up folks, and, as a matter of fact, three have just finished!" The reporter paused for a moment as someone ren up to her and handed her a card with writing on it. "Yes, the new winners of the three battles are Dekao and Gutsman, Liz and Torrent, and Kyle and Duskman. This is Maya Harison with the news from the Grand Prix."

*****

Netto and Rockman were wondering around aimlessly, weaving in and out of the crowds. They had watched four or more battles and were growing impatient. "Wonder who we're up against first?" Netto said thoughtfully.

“I dunno…but we’re scheduled to battle in about a half hour. We can watch Meiru’s match while we’re waiting,” his blue navi replied. Netto nodded. Meiru’s match was after the battle between Lightman and Sharkman that was going on right now. Netto started walking toward the large red dome that was in front of them, chatting with Rockman about what they fathomed their opponents would be like. A figure stepped out of the shadows and looked after him, the expression on their face hidden by the shadow of their hat.

*****

Netto slid into a seat next to Yaito and Dekao just as Meiru and her opponent prepared to plug in and start the match. “Where were you, Netto?” Dekao asked casually.

"Eh...around." Netto played with the zipper on his orange vest as the announcer, Maya, introduced the battlers. She paused for a long moment after annoucing Meiru and Roll, and after a few moments cleared her throat.

"I'm sorry, but it appears as though all of the records concerning Meiru's opponent has been erased from our database," she explained in a confused voice. Murmurs rippled through the crowd and Netto looked down at the person standing across from Meiru.

She wore a black vest unzipped over a dark grey long sleeved shirt. A blueish grey skirt fell halfway down to her knees and black boots covered her ankles. A black hat was set on her head, the bill pulled down over her eyes so that her face was covered in shadow. The only way Netto could tell that it was a girl he was looking at was due to the skirt and how slender her middle was compared to her bust. The girl whispered something to her navi and Netto saw her lips curl into a smirk.

"Plug In your navis whenever you are ready," Maya said, the casual and hyper tone to her voice back once again. Meiru and her opponent both pointed their PET's to the computers in front of them and their navis plugged in.

~~~~~
There ya go.
Chapter Three:
Roll appeared in the computer, her image blown up and magnified many times in a large bubble that hovered above Meiru and her opponent. Seconds later, another navi materialized opposite of the pink navi. It was hidden in shadow. Roll got into a fighting stance and tried to make out her opponent. She stopped squinting as the navi opposite her took a step forward.
The navi had a black helmet on that looked as though it was modeled after a baseball cap; it had a blueish grey bill. A black 'shirt' with a grayish blue stripe across the bust came down almost to the navi's stomach, then another piece that resembled shorts started at their hips. Their stomach, legs, and arms were gray and the navi's boots and gloves were black with blueish gray stripes. Four grayish blue points stuck out of the corners of the navis backpack and a light blue visor came down over her eyes, tinting them a blueish purple. It was a female navi; her hair was a chocolate brown and came down to her waist.
The whole area on which the navis were to fight was water theme. There was a light cyber rain falling and puddles were scattered around on the ground. The words Battle Start flashed across the screen and Roll lept at the navi, her right arm transforming into the Aqua Sword that Meiru slotted into her PET. When Roll swiped at the place where the navi was, she found herself attacking only raindrops. "Wha...?" Roll turned around and looked about nervously. That navi had moved out of the way really quickly...
"Woah that was fast," Rockman commented, a bit of surprise in his voice. Netto nodded as he watched the battle intently. The other navi had appeared behind Roll and kicked her into the ground. Roll rolled over onto her back and swiped at the navi with the Aqua Sword, but her opponent grabbed the blade and flung Roll into a puddle, the sword snapping in two from the impact.
"Hang in there Roll, Lightning, Slot In!" Meiru said, pushing the chip into her PET. She hadn't expected Roll to be given this much trouble in the first round... Roll recieved the battle chip and used it, catching the other navi off guard and shocking her with a blast of electricity.
"Dammit Cyclone," the navi's Net Op muttered, slotting a recover 150 into her PET along with a silver and blue chip. Her navi pushed herself to her feet and stared at Roll for a few seconds as if pondering the best way to attack her. Roll didn't wait to see what her opponent was going to do and charged, throwing out a few hard punches. The navi blocked them, grabbing Roll's fists.
"Lemmie...go!" Roll struggled to pull away from the navi, but her grip held fast. "Meiru, a little help?" Her Net Op nodded.
"Comin right up Roll! ElecSword, Slot in!" Meiru pushed the chip into her PET and Roll's right arm transformed, causing the other navi to let go of that hand. Roll swiped at her opponent and the navi jumped back to avoid being hit.
"Okay...this isn't going to get any more interesting," the navi's Net Op said. "Cyclone, go ahead and finish this." The navi nodded and activated the battle chip that her Op had sent.
"Right. Tempest!" She held up her hands and a swirling mass of black and gray wind formed above her head. Roll froze.
"Um...Meiru?" Her opponent smirked and brought her hands down in a violent motion, sending the attack above her spiraling at Roll with tremenduous force. Roll was sent flying and made to plug out.
"What an awesome battle ladies and gentlemen! One minute and fourty-seven seconds of intense battle! Our next match is between Netto Hikari and Samual Karis and will start in five minutes' time. Stay with us until then!"
*****
"Hey!" Meiru ran after the girl she battled about ten minutes ago. She had just come from Netto's match; a normal navi, easy win for Rockman. "Hey, wait up!" The girl turned around and stood there, letting Meiru catch up. Meiru stopped for a few seconds and caught her breath. "Nice battling back there. You're pretty good." The girl shrugged.
"Um...thanks? Hey...do you know that boy who just battled?" Meiru blinked.
"Netto Hikari?"
"Yes, that's the one."
"Uh...yeah. Why?" She looked the girl up and down. This was the first time she had seen her opponent up close. The girl was as tell as Meiru, if not an inch taller. Her shoulder length brown hair had two strands that escaped in front of her ears and her eyes were a deep chocolate. Meiru felt a strange feeling in the pit of her stomach that told her she would regret congratulating the girl.
"Meh...just wondering." The girl's eyes had a hint of sparkle in them as she cleared her throat. "So...I'm Katya." She paused, her big brown eyes searching Meiru's face for any sign of recognition. "You don't remember, do you." Meiru's auburn eyes darkened.
"Oh I remember," she replied, her voice suddenly very bitter. Katya frowned.
"You never liked me much at all did you." Meiru didn't say anything and Katya rolled her eyes. "I didn't fix it up so I could battle you, ya know." Meiru chuckled.
"Sure you didn't. And you also didn't cheat to beat us." Katya's eyes narrowed.
"How in the hell would I manage to-"
"Your navi is water wind type...you knew you could use that arena to your advantage."
"Don't you drag Cyclone into this..."
"Katya back off," her navi advised. Katya was about to say something else when a boy called out to Meiru.
"Hey, Meiru!" Dekao appeared beside the red head and stared at Katya. "Who're you? Hey wait..."
"Let's go Dekao," Meiru said firmly. She pushed her friend to the left and started to walk off.
"Fine...run away you coward," Katya muttered. Meiru halted and whirled around, fuming.
"Take that back," she growled.
"Wut?" Katya said innocently.
"I am NOT a coward!" Meiru said her voice raising. People passing by started to stare. Katya grinned, obviously enjoying this little uproar that she was causing. She started laughing. Meiru, enraged, took a swipe at Katya's head. Katya ducked.
"Let's settle this!" she said, squealing with laughter, and dove at Meiru, knocking her down.
*****
Netto was walking to a curry stand with Rockman when Dekao skidded to a stop beside him. "Netto," he panted, "Netto, Meiru and some girl are fighting over there." He pointed behind him to where a large crowd had formed.
"Let's check it out Netto," Rockman said.
"You sound a bit too eager to watch Meiru beat someone up Rock," Netto replied with a sigh. His navi shrugged and Netto followed Dekao over to the scene. He pushed ahead of Dekao through the murmuring and laughing crowd and stared at the two girls in front of him.
The person whom Meiru had Net Battled earlier was sitting on Meiru, who was on her back. The girl had Meiru's hands pinned to the ground and was letting a thin strand of spit slowly fall toward her face. Meiru noticed Netto and tried desparately to get away from the girl who sat on top of her. "Netto...GET HER OFFA ME!"
"Katya...what're you doing?" The girl started and turned a deep shade of crimson.
"Mmm...pth!" She spit on Meiru and wiped her mouth, standing up and releasing Meiru.
"EW GROSS!" Meiru screamed, turning over and wiping off her face with her sleeve.
"Can't stay out of trouble can you." Katya smiled sheepishly and shrugged, the bright red in her cheeks dulling to a pinkish color. The crowd had dissipated, satisfied now that Katya had spit on Meiru and the fight was over.
"Not my fault...," she said, shooting an evil glance at Meiru. Meiru stood up and scowled, but didn't say anything.
"Katya," her navi said, a bit of urgency in her voice.
"Meh...okay. I have to go. See you around Netto." She nodded at Dekao and stuck out her tongue at Meiru before turning on her heel and walking away.
~~~~~

If you read it last night...then I changed the ending a bit today and I'm sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

Chapter Four:

Katya looked back over her shoulder as she slipped into a crowd of people. As soon as she was sure Netto, Meiru, and Dekao couldn't see her, she broke into a run. Katya slowed to a stop behind one of the domes, where there were no people around. "What happened?" she asked her navi worriedly, leaning her back against the wall and sliding down it until she was sitting on the ground. Cyclone opened the e-mail that Katya had recieved earlier and read it aloud.

"All of the preparations are complete...I'm finally allowed into the computers that control the domes. Get over here right now and we'll begin." Katya smiled.

"So...she's found a way into the systems and managed to avert all suspicion," she whispered to Cyclone. "They're smarter then I thought."

"Just don't do anything stupid that'll get our cover blown, okay?" Cyclone waited for her Net Op to answer. "Katya...OY!"

"Wha?" Cyclone rolled her eyes. "O...oh. Okay...hey...that was the first time you've seen him isn't it...," Katya said dreamily.

"Seen who?" Cyclone replied, confused.

"Netto, you idiot." Cyclone let out a short breath of air that expressed her distaste.

"You and your boy obsessions...," she muttered.

"This one's different!" Katya protested. "You don't understand," she mumbled, standing up and brushing off her skirt. "Let's go before she gets suspicious." The brown haired girl pulled her hat down over her eyes and casually stepped out into the crowd.

*****

Netto, Yaito, Meiru, and Dekao were all sitting in the stands watching random people battle other random people when it happened. Yaito was complaining about not meeting Katya when the power went out. "What the...?" Netto yelled over the screams and shouts of the surprised crowd. Everyone started to run out of the stands and crowd out the doors into the sunlight. "Rockman, what happened?"

"There was a massive power surge that knocked out the electricity," his navi replied. "I'm surprised the doors still work." As the last bit was coming out of Rockman's mouth, all of the doors suddenly shut, blocking any way to get out of the dome.

"Nice going Rock," Netto said sarcastically as he carefully stood up. "Ow that's my foot!"

"Sorry...," Yaito muttered. Netto felt someone grab his arm.

"How're we gonna get outta here?" Meiru said in a hushed voice. Not even half of the room had gotten out, even though there were at least six or seven doors that led outside, and people were panicking and pounding on the doors frantically.

"Meiru, the air supply in here is limited since the vents were shut off and blocked," Roll said worriedly. "You guys had better find a way outta there soon."

"That complicates things," Netto muttered.

*****

"I'll go and start up the dimensional area," Katya said in a monotone voice. "It'll keep those who got out of the domes from going any further and you can send in the navis. The woman who she was talking to nodded, not looking up from the computer she was staring at. Katya turned and walked out of the room, pressing the button that closed the door behind her as soon and she was out. "Okay...how do I get myself outta this one..."

"Better turn on the Dimensional Area Generators," Cyclone advised. Her Net Op nodded and pressed a few buttons on her black and gray PET.

*****

There was a rumbling noise and the whole dome started to shake. "What the hell!" Netto hollered over the screams of the terrified crowd. Dekao and Yaito shrugged as Meiru clung onto Netto's arm.

*****

A large shimmering dome rose up from the ground and blocked off any exits from the whole area. Everyone who had chosen to attend the Grand Prix was trapped.

*****

"Okay...let's go and help people."

"You know...the only reason why these people need helped is because you put them in danger," Cyclone teased.

"Shut up." Katya inserted a Synchro Chip into her PET.

*****

"EVERYONE, SHUT UP!" Yaito screamed. Her voice echoed throughout the dome and the people inside of it fell silent. "NOW LISTEN UP! STOP FREAKING OUT! IT'S DRIVING ME INSANE!" Dekao held back a laugh.

"You may have a bigger mouth them Meiru," he snickered. Meiru let go of Netto's arm long enough to stomp on his foot angrily. Seconds later, there was a bang and a hole was blasted in one side of the dome, revealing a large way for the people to escape. At once people ran to the opening and started to crowd out.

"Let's go," Netto said, shrugging Meiru's hand off of his arm and starting for the hole, seeing as Yaito was already halfway there. The red head followed reluctantly and Dekao, still whining over his foot, limped after her. Once they made it outside, Rockman coughed.

"Netto, wasn't that dimensional area...not here the last time we were outside?" he asked. Netto looked up at the dome above them and opened his mouth to answer when there was a loud explosion. Upon looking around, Netto noticed that there was a lot of screaming and tons of smoke billowing all around them. In the distance one of the domes was burning.

"Daymn," he whistled. At least five navis were running around, shooting at people and terrorizing them. "There's only one thing to do then..." He took out a Synchro Chip and was about to slot it into his PET when something knocked it out of his hand.

"You don't want to be doing that." A navi resembling Rockman materialized in front of Netto and his friends. He had a green helmet with spikes sticking out of it on his head, green and brown armour with various lengths of spikes on his shoulders and back, and black gloves and boots. His gloves had spikey fingertips and his boots had cleats on the bottoms.

"Oh, I really think I do," Netto retorted. He dove under the navi's legs and grabbed at the chip. The green navi easily grabbed Netto and picked him up off of the ground by his backpack.

"I told you that you didn't want to be doing that."

"Leave Netto alone you piece of-" Meiru hurled a rock at the navi's face. He reached out and caught it with one hand, crushing it between his fingers. Netto gasped as the navi picked up the Synchro Chip and dropped Netto on the ground, knocking the wind out of him. Meiru backed away as the navi took a few steps toward her.

"Oy! Spikeman!" The navi turned as a blast of wind knocked him off his feet. The Synchro Chip flew out of his hands and fell to the ground next to Netto. R.Cyclone dropped down in front of Netto and got into a fighting stance. "Meiru, you and your two friends had better go and get the other people to follow you into one of the buildings. Preferably not the one that's burning," she ordered, a half smile creeping onto her face as she spoke the last sentence. Meiru nodded reluctantly but didn't argue. There was nothing else to do anyway...

"This is the only time I'm ever going to listen to you," she replied, and motioned for Dekao and Yaito to follow her as she ran off in the opposite direction.

"You little twit," Spikeman growled. "How long have you been pretending?"

"Eh...a while," R.Cyclone replied. "You guys are so dense, you know that?" Netto grabbed the Synchro Chip and slipped it into his PET. R.Cyclone ran at Spikeman as he was transforming. "Cyclone Twister!" she yelled, shooting the buster gun that was on her right hand. The green navi jumped out of the way of the attack and it smashed into the wall of the burning dome, making the flames burst with new energy and spread to the grassy ground. "Dammit!!!" R.Cyclone muttered. "Now it's gonna spread even more!"

"I'll take care of Spikey over here," R.Rockman said, stepping up beside R.Cyclone and cracking his knuckles. "You take care of the fire." R.Cyclone nodded and bolted off. "Okay...let's do this!" R.Rockman's hand morphed into the Rock Buster and he lept at Spikeman.

Nice chapters! It was hilarious when Katya spit on Meiru. And the fight scene coming up next seems interesting. Oh, and since you said you're out of ideas... I'LL PM YOU IDEAS FOR WHAT GOES ON INSIDE MY HEAD! *Thunder and lightning*

Chapter Five:

R.Cyclone thrust out her right hand and the buster gun changed colors from a dull gray to a vivid blue. "Aqua Blast!" R.Cyclone said aptly, the gun charging up and shooting a blast of water out at the dancing flames at her command. Meanwhile, R.Rockman was having difficulty battling Spikeman.

*****

"Just...stand...STILL!" R.Rockman said, frustrated, as the red blasts from his buster missed his opponent over and over again. The large green navi stopped behind R.Rockman and drove a spike into his back. R.Rockman yelled out in pain and fell to his knees, his buster transforming back into his hand. "Oh, now you're gonna get it," he muttered.

"Just give up...you can save yourself...," the large green navi said slowly, his yellow eyes gleaming threateningly.

"Never! Cybersword!" R.Rockman said furiously, turning and swiping at his enemy with awesome speed. Spikeman jumped back a minute too late; R.Rockman managed to cut off a few of the spikes from his shoulders. The green and brown navi narrowed his eyes and clenched his fists in anger.

"SPIKE CANNON!" he screamed, thrusting out his hands. A ball of black energy spun in his palms, opening up and revealing hundreds of pointed spikes.

"Aww shit," R.Rockman said.

*****

As Meiru and the others were herding people into one of the domes, they were attacked by three navis. One was orange with leathery wings folded behind him and firey red eyes, another was blue with red markings across his arms, face, and legs that shimmered and resembled blood, and the last navi was purple with green spots on his back and helmet. "Stop right there," the purple navi ordered, his green eyes dark and filled with hatred.

"Hey, that guy looks like Barney!" A little kid called out. The purple navi clenched his fists.

"WILL PEOPLE STOP CALLING ME BARNEY!" he yelled angrily. "DO I HAVE A TAIL? NO TAIL!" The blue navi slapped him.

"Get a freaking grip Vineman!" he scolded. The purple navi fell silent and stood there, fuming. "Anyway..." The blue navi turned back to the crowd of snickering people. "We're here to take over this area, blah blah, kill you guys, blah...meh...you know the drill." He held out his right hand and a sword stained with red markings hovered in the air; he caught it and swiped it in front of him a couple times.

"You wouldn't kill innocent people!" Meiru said angrily. The orange navi held up a hand and shot a line of fire at a few people. The flames caught onto their clothes and the crowd started screaming in terror.

"I think they would, Meiru," Dekao said nervously.

*****

R.Cyclone stepped back and inspected the ruins of the dome. There wasn't much left...but at least the fire was out. She heard screaming and turned to see what all of the commotion was about. Three navis were standing in front of the crowd of people... "Meh...more fire," R.Cyclone muttered.

*****

"Hey, come pick on someone your own...species...sorta." R.Cyclone yelled to the group of navis, skidding to a stop behind the crowd of people and spraying some water over them to help put out the flaming ones. "Not the smartest thing I've ever said," she muttered. "Ahh what the hell." She shrugged and jumped over the cluster of terrified persons, landing in front of the three navis with her buster gun pointed at them. The orange navi laughed.

"I always knew you'd turn on us, you filthy human." He spat at R.Cyclone's feet.

"Well that's nice," she said in disgust, looking down at her boots in distaste. The blue navi took a swipe at her with the sword and R.Cyclone ducked, knocking his feet out from under him with a swift kick. The other two navis pounced on her and they started to fight.

"C'mon, let's go!" Meiru shouted to the people behind her. They all started running toward one of the domes.

*****

"Ehh...Katya we have a bit of a problem!" R.Rockman called to his friend. R.Cyclone blasted the orange navi with a water attack and ducked another swipe from the blue navi.

"KINDA BUSY MYSELF NETTO!" she yelled, shooting a blast of wind at Vineman. R.Rockman glanced at the people retreating into the dome. He sighed and ran to help get them in before the air was filled with random sharp spikes that would most likely kill them all.

"C'mon, move!" R.Rockman yelled, picking up a few little kids who were lagging behind and running with them toward the dome. Spikeman chuckled and unleashed a spray of needles from his hands. R.Cyclone gasped.

w00t! an awesome action filled chapter! My only complaint is it was a little to short. However, I do like these new navis. I'm guessing the fire navi is called Phoinexman? Well, great chapter, as usual, and I can't wait for more!

Yayz! I have almost all homework done! *posts next chapter* Oh...and CrossFusionStarman? Made it short to put you on an ebil cliffhanger...don't worry this one'll be longer. And...and how do you come up with all of teh cool names!?! The red navi's called Blazeman hehe...but Phoinexman sounds way awesomer...er... XD

~~~~~
Chapter Six:
"Wind Barrior, Slot In!" R.Cyclone said, and she threw a ball of blue energy toward Spikeman. Seconds later, a gray shimmering wall materialized between Spikeman and the people running for safety. The needles bounced off the surface and sliced through the one who had conjured them, deleting the surprised green navi.
R.Cyclone sighed in relief as R.Rockman disappeared into the dome along with the others and she turned back to face the three navis remaining. "So...who wants to die first...," she muttered to herself. "Eni meni mini mo...Blazeman wants to die!" She locked her eyes on the orange navi and smiled.
"Enough standing around!" the blue navi said impatiently. He threw his sword at R.Cyclone and she dodged it, the blade flying past her and hitting the ground, shattering on impact. The other two navis lept at R.Cyclone, the orange navi with wings spreading them and soaring above her head. When R.Cyclone glanced upward for a split second, the purple navi shot her with his buster gun. A vine flew out of the gun and wrapped itself around R.Cyclone's waist, shocking her.
"Flaming Dive!" Blazeman said, smirking and bursting into flames as he dove at R.Cyclone. The fire navi missed his mark and slammed into the ground as R.Rockman grabbed his target and pulled her out of the way.
"Thanks..owe ya one," R.Cyclone said, nodding at R.Rockman. Her friend shrugged and lept at the orange navi, bandishing a Cyber Sword. He sliced at one of the wings, leaving a deep gash in the leathery skin. Blazeman yelped in pain and whirled around, swiping at R.Rockman with his clawed fingers. R.Rockman slashed at his hands and body repeatedly and R.Cyclone fought off the blue and purple navis as they were trying to help.
Blazeman tried to spit out a flame at his blue opponent, but R.Rockman was faster and stabbed his sword through the orange navi's stomach, deleting him. "Who's next?" R.Rockman said triumphently, turning around and stepping up beside R.Cyclone.
"I'll take Slashman," R.Cyclone said with a grin. R.Rockman frowned.
"Aww...I wanted that one...I don't wanna battle Barney!" he said, pouting.
"I'M NOT BARNEY YOU @#$%^&!" The purple navi screamed, lunging at R.Rockman. R.Cyclone shrugged and lept at the blue navi, leaving her friend to get tackled by Vineman. R.Cyclone's right hand formed into a blueish gray Cyber Sword and she locked blades with Slashman, who had taken a knife from the pack of his back.
"Gosh!" R.Rockman said, kicking the purple navi over his head and standing up. "You need anger management or something!" Vineman held out his hand and a black and red chip appeared in a puff of black smoke, hovering over his palm.
"I've had just about enough of you," the navi growled, "and this'll help me take care of you once and for all!"
"A Dark Chip?" Rockman said, shocked, as the purple navi absorbed its power. The navi glowed a blackish purple for a split second, then his color darkened. Vines sprouted from his helmet and shoulders and he grew a bit taller.
"What kind of a Dark Chip is that?" R.Rockman whispered in awe. Vineman wasted no time in attacking. The long vines on his helmet glowed red and grew spikes as they slowly grew and snaked around R.Rockman, surrounding him. "Aww shit."
*****
"DIE YOU BASTARD!" R.Cyclone screamed, and she threw a ball of grayish blue energy at the navi she was fighting. The navi blocked the attack with his knife and reached back, pulling out of his back another knife and spinning it easily between his fingers. R.Cyclone gritted her teeth.
"You can't beat him by brute force, Katya," Cyclone said to her Net Op.
"Meh. It was worth a try though," R.Cyclone said, a hint of disappointment in her voice. "Area Steal and Aqua Sword, Slot In!" She disappeared. Slashman looked around nervously.
"Where did that little punk disappear to..." he muttered.
"Behind you! EAT THIS FOOL!" R.Cyclone appeared in the air behind Slashman and brought her sword down through his head, slicing it neatly in half. Before he was deleted, the blue navi smirked and drove both of the knives through R.Cyclone's chest and stomach, terminating Katya and Cyclone's Cross Fusion.
*****
R.Rockman sliced through one of the vines wrapped around his torso with a Fire Sword; a small flame lighted and the vines were quickly reduced to ashes. R.Rockman winced, rubbing his stomach where the needles had peirced him. He glanced to his left and saw Slashman stab R.Cyclone. "Ouch," R.Rockman muttered as Katya fell to the ground, knocked unconscious by the attack. Vineman looked toward where R.Rockman's attention was directed and smirked.
"I'll give you one more chance to leave. Stop meddling." R.Rockman opened his mouth but the purple navi cut him off. "If you don't cooperate...it'll be your friend who pays the price. Choose your words wisely." R.Rockman snorted.
"What could you possibly do?" he scoffed. Vineman's eyes flashed.
"If that's how you want it...DEATH BIND!" The navi raised his arms and the green spots on his body started to glow red.
"Something tells me this is gonna be uncomfortable," R.Rockman mumbled to himself. Rockman sighed.
"You just HAD to taunt him..." R.Rockman shrugged as a series of spiked vines sprung from the spots on the navi in front of him and quickly wrapped themselves around his and Katya's torsos. Vineman smirked.
"OWCH that hurt a bit...right there...and OW stop squeezing so freaking hard!" R.Rockman complained as the purple navi started choking the air out of him.
"Save your breath and think," Rockman scolded. R.Rockman pouted a bit. But eh...his navi was right. It was getting harder and harder to breathe... He tried to move his buster arm but the vines held fast.
I...I can't think of a way outta this, he thought. R.Rockman glanced over at Katya and winced. Blood was dripping onto the gorund under her...since she wasn't in Cross Fusion with Cyclone anymore she was as vulnerable as any other human. Of course....OH!"
"Meteor, Slot In," R.Rockman breathed. He was running out of air... The attack appeared on the gorund in front of him. In a matter of seconds, flaming rocks were pounding against the vines and breaking them. R.Rockman fell to his knees and took in a few deep breaths before standing and pointing his buster gun at the pissed off navi in front of him.
"You've messed with the wrong orginazation," Vineman spat. "This Dark Chip wasn't even finished...they'll be even more powerful soon." R.Rockman shrugged.
"Yeah. You keep on telling yourself that." He unleashed a charged buster attack on the weakened navi and deleted him.
The Dimensional Area suddenly vanished and a helicopter lifetd off from behind one of the domes. Netto grabbed his PET out of the air and watched the black and grey aircraft disappear. Who in the world could have- "NETTO!" Rockman yelled, snapping Netto back from his thoughts.
"Huh? OH!" Netto ran over to where Katya was lying and turned her over so she wasn't facefirst in the dirt.
"She's gonna need to be taken to the hospital," Cyclone said from in her PET, worried. "I'm sorry...I wasn't thinking or I'd have come and..." Netto picked up the gray and back PET.
"It's not your fault this happened," he said. Cyclone shook her head.
"Actually..." Netto stared at her in disbelief. "Uhm...we should call someone...Katya needs help," the gray and black navi said quickly, a hint of nervousness in her voice. The teenage boy nodded slowly, suddenly doubting his trust for the girl in front of him and her navi.
Awesome! Great cliffhanger. Can't wait to see what happens next. So, he's named Blazeman? Yeah...And I come up with cool names...to be honest, I don't know how ^^. I just see something, or read something and think about it, and based off the descriptions or pictures I name it. I guess that's how. Either way, great chapter! Sorry I couldn't read it sooner.
Two Chapters.
~~~~~

Chapter Seven:

The room was dank and smelled like sour milk. There were beds lining the walls...and they were filled with people. All sorts of people. Children. Mothers. Fathers. All coughing or just laying there, knowing, filled with fear. Katya entered the room and felt a lump grow in her throat. They were dying...all of them. She had never felt so alone in all of her life. In all of the people's paled faces she saw herself...people she knew...people she didn't want to know.

Katya felt her eyes sting with oncoming tears and she looked away from the scene, silently refusing to cry, refusing to believe any of this was real. It's a dream...it's all just a horrible dream... A doctor clad in white garments spoke briefly with one of the nurses. Katya let a few tears fall as the nurse shook his head and left the doctor standing in the middle of the room to tend to one of the dying. She shook them away when the man started toward her, refusing to let her weakness show.

"I'm sorry," the doctor said in a low voice. "Katrina and your mother..." his voice broke and he put a hand on Katya's shoulder. No...never before had she felt as alone as she did at this moment...at least before she had...a family...or...or was it a family... Her mother had known...she had known...been right...how... Katya tried to cry more...but something inside of her refused to do so. She watched silently as two bodies were wheeled out of the room...both covered in white sheets.

Katya turned and walked briskly out of the room. Still her tears refused to fall. She walked out of the hospital, out into the cold windy night. She stumbled down the dirt roads in the darkness...wondering...lost...alone. The full moon loomed directly overhead, menacing, whispering, knowing. "Why did you all leave me...," she whispered, stopping in front of an old blue house. She dropped her empty PET on the ground in front of her and fell to her knees in agony. "Why the hell did you leave me!"

*****

Katya Turner woke with a start. She immediately knew where she was...and the thought of it all sickened her. She felt her tears on her cheeks and turned over in the bed, away from Netto Hikari's watching eyes. Doing so made her pay with a searing pain that coursed through her body. She tried to stop fidgeting and lay still. Netto frowned and sighed heavily. "So...you finally decided to wake up," he said, trying to lighten things up."

"How long's it been," Katya muttered, not turning to look at her friend.

"Three days." Three...three days? Katya looked at her hands. They were bandaged and stung...burned...

"How bad's the damage," Katya asked in a monotone voice, letting the tears dry on her face. Netto looked at the floor. He didn't want to be doing this right now...

"It's...you've been better." Katya held back a snort. Cha...he's a bad liar. She told him so.

"You're a bad liar," she said bitterly. "You never were good at it." Netto swallowed. He didn't feel like fighting with her right now or he would have come up with a response. He didn't say anything and waited. Katya touched her cheek and dried her tears from her stinging face. Her hand hurt after doing so. "Wh...where's Cyclone."

"Sleeping. It's at least midnight." Katya shuddered. Midnight... "Katya...there's something else." Katya felt her chest tighten and her eyes threatened to spill more tears. "I...I...I don't know how..."

"Mother knew," Katya said, her voice wavering. "She knew..." Netto looked up.

"What?"

"She knew...about the...and...about Cyclone...but...she made me go...and now..."

"You...you know what happened?" Katya shrugged, ignoring the burning pain that movement caused. "And...your sister. You never told me you have...had...a..." Netto's voice trailed off and Katya knew the horrible truth. It wasn't a dream after all...but...

"C...Cyclone..." Katya stammered, forcing herself into a sitting position. Netto immediately stood up, his eyes filled with concern.

"The nurses told me...to not let you do anything stupid," Netto said.

"I'm fine," Katya said solemnly, the tears taking over. She looked over at the night stand beside the bed, next to Netto, and stared at her PET. A few tears fell onto her bandaged hands. "Are you sure she's okay..." Katya swallowed, realizing just how dry her throat was. Netto's eyes met hers and he looked back at the PET.

"Yeah she's in there." Katya took in a ragged breath.

"She's really all I have left...," she said slowly. Netto sat on the bed in the space behind where Katya was sitting up. She leaned against him and realized how much of a fever she must have...Netto felt ice cold to her. "My...my sister was almost everything to me...even though she's six years older then me...she was..." Netto nodded. He had known Katrina...she was three years older then him but he had seen her when she was walking Katya home from school. Nice, quieter and more laid back then Katya. Things didn't come as easily to her though. "She...she made me go to the tournament...she and mother insisted. They said that they would talk to me about having a PET illegally in the village..."

Netto frowned. He didn't know about where Katya had come from...just that she had moved away to a new place in Ameroupe. Katya continued. "In...in my village...in Ameroupe...mother hated technology, you know that." Netto nodded. "Nothing of the sort was allowed. All banned..." Katya looked over at her PET. "But I break the rules." Netto smiled. If there was one thing he remembered about Katya, that would be it. "Cyclone's always been there for me when I've asked...when Katrina was off with boyfriends or off doing things for school. She would have graduated this year..." Katya swallowed. "But...mother was never as nice to me. Ever. And when she told me to go off and do the thing she hated most...it scared me."

"I'm so sorry," Netto said earnestly.

"I know." They sat in silence for a few seconds. "But...but now...father’s hardly around...and if I lose Cyclone..." The tears took control and Katya started sobbing. Netto let her cry for a few seconds, then turned and gave Katya a hug. Katya ignored the pain his touch caused and slowly allowed her tears to subside. Netto broke away and took the PET from the shelf, handing it to Katya as she lay back down. "I'm kinda tired."

"I know." He handed her Cyclone and Katya took the PET, her hands numb from moving so much. Katya turned and held the device close to her heart, closing her eyes and imagining that she was somewhere else...anywhere else... Netto paused at the doorway then left the room. She was okay...for now.

~~~~~
Powerful chapter. *sighs in depressed way* Here...I promised two. And remember, since this is a spin off of Shifting Winds, a few things that happen may seem familiar to you. I liked some of my ideas though...
~~~~~

Chapter Eight:

Katya awakened and felt the searing heat radiating from her body. She could still feel the coolness of her PET through her shirt and liked the comforting sensation that someone was beside her who cared. She remembered her dream...the reality of the dream. A disease wiped out the whole village...an epidemic. This she was sure of. The water, food, everything wasn't very clean...of course, when you have no technology it is harder to keep things sanitary. Why...how did they know... Katrina always had a way of knowing things Katya didn't...

Seconds later, she drifted off to sleep again. It was going to be a restless night.

*****

"Katrina...how did you know," she whispered. The night air was cool and crisp against her cheeks, her hair was blown in her face as her hat flew away, caught in the wind's grasp. Katya walked down a dirt path, different trees lined beside her as she advanced toward a clearing.

She stopped at the end of the path and started at her reflection in the crystal clear waters of a lake. The full moon cast a silver light on the rippling water, making it sparkle and shimmer with beauty. Katya's reflection wavered and fanned out, forming into an image that looked like an older version of the girl. her hair was longer and thicker, and it was pulled back into a ponytail. The only real vivid difference was the reflection's vivid green eyes.

Katya stepped back as a shimmering reflection of her sister stepped out of the water and up onto the edge of the lake.

"You know the answer to that question," she answered, her words flitting around Katya like butterflies just hatched from a cocoon. Katya sighed. She was used to indirect answers from her sister. Katrina's image smiled. She was at least two heads taller then Katya. "The world needs you more then it ever needed me," she said. "I always knew that. You always doubt yourself right when you need your inner strength more then anything." Katya looked at her feet. She was right...

"But..." Her sister put a hand on her shoulder and Katya stopped.

"But...there's no more time for buts. Doubt is a luxury you can't afford anymore." Katya let the words sink in. Katrina-or whatever that was-was right. Her orginazation would be looking for her, and without a doubt they want her dead for betraying one of the elite members of the group. "I'm gonna give you one thing." Katya frowned.

"What?" Katrina smiled.

"You'll figure it out soon enough."

*****

Katya opened her eyes and squinted through the haze that surrounded her. Was she still dreaming...? No. Her sister had told her not to assume anything...not to question any of her feelings and thoughts. She wasn't dreaming, and there was danger. "Katya, God, KATYA!"

"W...wut," Katya said, struggling to sit up. She could hear a fire alarm going off somewhere in the building and she felt hotter then ever.

"Thank God...Katya, can you Plug me in?" Her navi sounded frantic. Katya felt cold fear shoot through her firey body and her clumsy hands picked up the PET from where it was lying on the bed.

"W...what?" she stammered.

"The building's on fire! Plug me in so I can stop it!" Katya swallowed. "Katya...are you...are you okay?" Katya slowly nodded. She had to plug Cyclone into the computer somehow. Pushing the heavy sheets from her body, Katya shakily turned and dangled her legs over the side of her bed. She reached out and grabbed her vest which was hanging by her other stuff, pulling that on over her shirt along with her boots over her socks. She slapped her hat on her head and took a deep breath.

"Okay." Cyclone suddenly sounded doubtful, as though she had been thinking about it and now she had changed her mind.

"Well...well...but you're..."

"We can't second guess anything anymore," Katya said firmly, securing her PET on the clip that was around her waist. Her navi nodded slowly as Katya pulled her black fingerless gloves on over the bandages, wincing in pain. "Kay...let's go." She shakily stood up and grabbed the night stand for support. There was a port across the room by the door where she could Plug In her navi.

"Door's locked."

"I figured." Katya grabbed at things, clutching them for support as she made her way across the room. Her hands burned from the effort and she started shaking. Halfway there, Katya was forced to crawl the rest of the way to the door. "O...okay...," Katya panted, taking out her PET. "Go...go get help okay?" Cyclone looked like she was about to cry as she nodded and left her PET. Katya started coughing from all of the smoke in the room as one of the two people left in the world she cared so much about disappeared from her presence.

Chapter Nine:

Cyclone appeared in the hospital's computers and squinted through the thick haze of smoke that hung in the air. The whole area was engulfed in flames. So...at least we know that it was a navi who caused all of this, Cyclone thought. The flames next to her shivered and grew a bit and Cyclone glanced to her left. She ducked as a navi jumped from the red hot flames and sent a blast of fire toward her.

Cyclone stood up quickly and looked around. The navi was gone. "What the...?" The black and gray navi made a face, puzzled. She didn't know of any navi that could move that quickly...well, other then her and Blues. Cyclone activated her buster gun and glanced around, her guard up. I can't do this, she thought angrily. The fire's not gonna stop and wait for me to get help...

The female navi turned around and fired a blast of water out of her buster, making the burst of flame behind her yelp in pain as the fire was put out. Not waiting to see who it was, Cyclone headed out of the hospital computer and toward the net. A large navi with open burners on his shoulders and helmet stepped from the smoke and gritted his teeth angrily.

Two other navis stepped from the flames behind him. They were both red and black with silver helmets, gloves, and boots. Their eyes were covered by a black visor and the bottom half of their faces with a kind of red mask. They both had two points protuding from their upper backs that acted as wings for flight. "Why didn't you two numbskulls attack her?" The red navi asked angrily, not turning around. The two navis excnhanged hidden glances.

"You didn't order it...," one said daringly. The large red navi shook with anger.

"Well...now I'm ordering you to find her and delete her!" he fumed, teeth still gritted. The two navis nodded vigorously and disappeared in a shower of pixels. "If you two fail...then I'll just have to make smarter versions and use you as target practice." As he said this, one of the flames behind him narrowed out and cooled into the shape of another red navi identical to the two that had just departed. He turned and blasted the newly formed navi with a torrent of fire, deleting it.

Cyclone paused as soon as she was out of the hospital computer, thinking for a moment about where she was and where she now had to go. "East," she mumbled. "Left would be quicker...but it's filled with more navis and-" She whirled around, cut off by the arrival of twored and black navis. She smothered a laugh; they didn't look very intimidating...

"Stop right there or we'll be forced to delete you," one of the navis said in a husky voice. Cyclone snorted.

"Cha...right," she scoffed. The navis exchanged looks that she couldn't make out due to their masks.

"We're serious! We have to delete you for master...or else..."

"Or else we're ashes!" The navis sounded a bit nervous. Cyclone nodded.

"Riight. So...um...bye?" She waved and started to walk away, shaking her head. She was actually hoping for a battle of some sort... One of the navis started shaking.

"Don't you DARE turn your back on us!" he screeched, throwing a ball of flames at Cyclone's back. She whirled around and put out the attack with a swift stream of water. The navi screamed and glowed a black color. The identical red navi took a step away, as shocked as Cyclone was at this odd turn of events.

The navi stopped glowing and there was nothing left but a black iron ball the size of a boulder lying on the ground. "Oh shit," Cyclone said as a particularly large navi unrolled its body from the ball. It had an armoured back and resembeled a dragon. A long thick tail spread out behind him and he had claws on his hands and feet. He glowed a blood red and he had shed its helmet, leaving a scaley head shaped like that of a snake. He had bright yellow eyes and long pointed teeth.

"W...what's he done to you?" the red navi whispered, stunned. His old twin looked back and grinned, realizing that he had grown two heads taller.

"My name is Inferno," he said an a gravelly voice. The large navi then turned back to Cyclone, who was still trying to comprehend what had just happened, and licked his chops, sending saliva spraying at the female navi.

"Disgusting!" Cyclone said, wiping the sticky goo off of her arms. She made a face and her buster glowed, morphing into an identical gun with a black base instead of a gray one. "Okay...you totally need to leave me alone so I can do summtin important." She pointed the gun at the large red navi and held it as steady as she could as she was shaking a bit. Why can't at least ONE opponent be easy! she thought as the navi chuckled and breathed a string of fire at her.

Cyclone jumped over the attack and landed behind the dragon navi, quickly shooting him in the back before she landed. The attack bounced off of the iron plates on his back and hit her in the head. Cyclone hit the ground hard and the larger navi slowly turned around to face her, swiping his long tail across Cyclone's torso as he did so and sending her flying into the air. The black and gray navi smashed into the ground a few feet away and slowly pushed herself up. "Damn..."

The other normal looking navi was still frozen in fear, watching the battle behind his mask with an expression that no one could see. His 'friend' wound his tail around Cyclone's body and picked her up off of the ground, holding fast against the navi's struggles. "You were wrong to ever betray the master," he said bitterly, and inhaled, preparing to breathe out a stream of fire at Cyclone. The female navi scowled and jerked her buster gun from the tails' strong grip, shooting a jet of water into the navi's mouth as he opened it wide. The dragon navi coughed and sputtered, releasing Cyclone from his grip and staggering back.

"Sheesh...take this you bastard!" she screamed, blasting the navi with a stream of wind and deleting him. The other navi stared blankly at the place where his friend had been, then he started to shake. Cyclone, panting, looked over to where he was and closed her eyes. "Oh...shit."
