Well, we all know the Life Virus (If it's supposed to be one word, please correct me) pale in comparison to the other end-of-the-game bosses. I'd say there are more than enough weakness to improve and no need to point them out, they're so obvious.
So, what changes would you make to put the Life Virus on par with the other big bosses?
My version:
2000Hp
200Hp Life Aura
The Aura would still drop when the thing's attacking only it would be during the middle of an attack while you're too busy dodging to retaliate and be down for a very short time. If the shield was dropped by player, it would regenerate at the same point it would come back up after/during the LV's attack.
It would keep the Dreambits, they'd have 100-250 hp and there could be up to two of them out at the time. Available Dreambits and attacks:
Green: Vines, the same one that hold you in place as in EXE 3 (or was it 4?)
Blue: Ice Blocks
Red: 'Fire Bomb', think the guys from EXE2
Yellow: Lightning, complete with short stun
The LV's attacks would more or less be the same. Between trying to hit the LV with it's Aura down, dodging the Dreambits or being held still by their attacks I don't think the LV's attacks need be improved.

I don't know because I beat the virus without any PA. Plus the PA pretty much are weak compare to the other games. |

Since LV is a big character in the VI stories, I've done a lot of thinking about his improvements, redesigns, and possible game-related mechanics to go along with them. I won't go into too much detail, but here's my ideas for his additional attacks inhis original form.
Dream Beam - same laser as before, but he can aim it better.
LifeSword - still sends out an orb to swing, but rather than just one swipe, the orb's blade spins around several times, make it look more like a disk.
LifeSword, Arm-Mounted version - LV forms a LifeSword on his arm and does a three stage slash attack ending with a jumping thrust that cracks panels when he lands.
Meteor - Larger, rather than the Gaia-like wave of explosions, creates several random explosions that destroy panels sometimes, more like Serenade's Holy Shocker.
Aura Force - LV expands his Aura for a moment, having the same effect as Wind and AreaSteal.
Viral Claw - a swipe of his hand that causes electric poison (like in BN1, where you lose HP with every step)
Viral Pulse - shoots energy from the orbs on his shoulders, similar to Alpha's vulcan attack, except a little slower.
Scuttleshoot - After a while LV launches any Bits he summons like missiles to self-destruct on the enemy. Like the GutsShoot PA.
There's more craziness, but I can't recall it all off the bat. I've started making sprite animations of some of these attacks, but they're nowhere near done. |

Well I'd have to draw it, but it wouldn't be the clunky and big version that it was before because it couldn't move sure the Life Aura was a great shield, but if you couldn't move you would easily get pummeled by speedy navis so in order to stop that you would need to make a faster version with no clunky involved. Of course that would completely obliterate the strong looking armor it had to a more speed version of armor. It would also need a more stealthy looking aura so that the enemy won't know it has an aura. It's more fun that way. Weapons it should get rid of the bits I'm serious you don't need bits bits at just cannon fodder that get blown away eventually so why bother. I can't really think of any weapons it would aquire in this form, but it would be speedy. _________________

None of the final bosses take up any less than six spaces, three up and two across. Speed is probably dead with a thing that big. But the aura should probably be improved, obviously more HP, faster attacking, maybe even a heal for the Scuttles. <<;;

He occupies two collumns of space. He only utilizes one of them. He is only vulnerable on one "panel" area at a time. It's pretty much the same for the first three final bosses as well, except they don't move.
In any case... I love the Dream Virus. He's my favorite of all of the final bosses thus far (and I hated what they did to him in the anime... stuffed into the final moments of the final episode... blashemy).
I don't think he needs to slim down or speed up. It would be an interesting idea, but that tends to be Forte's (and by some rights, other Navi uberbosses; see Serenade). I think they could incorperate the "dream" type chips into him. The ability to give himself holy panels, for example. Perhaps he could heal on holy panels, or utilize the Holy Dream chip. I think he should be able to move, just slowly, similar to the way Duo moves. However, I'd say let him have access to any panel.
As far as the bits go, Dream Bits are my favorite virus ever. I think he should keep them around to do his elemental bidding. >:) _________________ (\ ºvº\ (\

Really the only thing I can think of that could improve the LifeVirus without changing it's focus (to be big and tough) would be to give it more defensive measures. Although annoying, the LifeAura it has is just too easy to get around, so it needs something else to defend it. The ability to form a shield with its hands? The ability to remove the panel infront of it, thus disabling attacks that travel along the ground? Healing? Well, maybe not healing, because I like bosses who change strategies as they lose HP, like Gospel. I could definitly see giving itself a random resistence to an element, like changing itself so it takes half damage from Aqua during the fight. _________________ Stuck In The Middle With You; a Metroid and Halo crossover

For starters, I'd give the LifeVirus the ability to move. Next, I'd give it a tougher exoskeleton, grant it the power of all four elements instead of just summoning the elemental Scuttlests, equip more weapons to it, double its HP to 2000, and replace its aura with Naraku's barrier. _________________

Eh, Life Viris cause is me trouble sometimes, but I wouldn't really change anything about him. We don't want to actually make him a challenge here _________________
