I find it rather surprising that you even mention the N-Gage. Ah well.

The DS is by far the better buy; it's got more games, more intresting games, and it's about to have a slew of WiFi games like Mario Kart. Sure, the PSP has more features and better graphics, but the graphics aren't exactly mind-blowing, and the features are unimportant. You're getting a game system, remember? Not a game system/DVD player/MP3 player/camera/whatever else Sony squeezed onto the thing.

Also, the PSP is much more fragile and prone to bugs and errors. Got the $200 you need for the PSP? Be prepared to spend that $200 over and over and over again.

PSP for me. Movies, music, videos, and of course videogames. Most people usually like PSP more cause it suits their "usual" needs:
-Violence, action, fantasy, story, graphics, classics. (Metal Gear or Final Fantasy for example)
I'm just 1 of those people. :/ PSP IMO has more of the popular companies by their side. People like Hideo Kojima, Tetsuya Nomura, and the person who is in charge of Resident Evil, (Plus RockStar's GTA) will give Sony the edge over DS and XBOX (yeah, I know, it doesn't count but still)
It's just my opinion. Those guys are like some of the greatest minds in the gaming industry.

Though, I would pick DS next, screw N-Gage. I completely forgot about N-Gage. DS does beat PSP at some points. First, it's not as fragil as the PSP. Second, the screen can be cleaner because you can close it. PSP can get dirty easily, that's why they gave you the piece of cloth-thing to clean the screen. -.-
Those who keep saying DS is full of kiddy games...well it's kind of hard for me to argue. I mean...Nintendogs??? That game just proves those people's point of view. No offense to Nintendogs fans, I myself have a dog so I find this game pointless. Anyway, thank God Nintendo has Megaman. Thanks to the DS, I can play my GBA games cause my SP broke.

Lots of people say Nintendo's consoles are "kiddie", when infact it would be more accurate to describe them as "kid-friendly". As in, games that are fun without having gratuitous amounts of sex and gore. Besides, the big advantage Nintendo will always have (atleast, while he still works there) is Shigeru Miyamoto. There's not anybody out there who can contest with him.

DS is getting the more childish games, but it does have a much wider range of games than PSP so far. I'm not really into sports/racing games, and thats what the majority of PSP games are. I'd have to go with my DS, even though the R button on mines kinda busted... I'd probably break a PSP really fast if I had one, so DS works for me!

Screw the N-Gage and PSP the only advances handheld system for me is an GBA SP or the Nintendo Ds these are my reasons

Ive heard so many bad things from the N-Gage theres no chance im gonna get 1 unless they give it away for free

PSP: hate this thing its got so much sales right now because its got this system for playing music and videos,, instaed people are buying this for an ipod and video player instead of the game player instead, it is a rival to the Nintendo DS, but PSP is not being used most of the time for what it should be, a handeld game platform, the ds is only really a game platfrorm with chat stuff which is what id think the PSP should be

I have a DS and I'm getting a PSP for my birthday. I have no problem with them, except N-Gage. Anyone who argues PSP sucks because you can buy an Ipod, a video player instead the combined prices of those things costs more than the PSP. Smile Any way...Megaman Legends :D

I've had both systems since launch day, and even though I only own one game on my PSP, I seem to like it more than my DS.. Maybe because I use the PSP for reasons I can't bring up here. I also have some of my favorite movies of all time on my PSP..

The only good thing about the DS right now is that you can get two for about the same price as a PSP, and it has Nintendogs. It also makes your GBA games look beautiful, but that's a debateable reason to have it. Upcoming games such as Mario Kart and Animal Crossing make it good for the Wireless stuff they have planned, and I think that there are a few other games upcoming for it that are interesting. Also, eventually more interesting games are going to be coming out for the system that are aimed more towards the older croud, I heard from my boss that there is going to be a remake of the first Resident Evil on the system.. and then there's the Castlevania game.. Muahahaha

The PSP is kinda stupid if you plan to use it for music reasons, why waste all the battery life lighting and displaying such stuff on the screen when you can just get an iPod shuffle for half the price? Using it for movies however is prety nice, I have some trailers of new upcoming things on my PSP and they look beautiful on that screen. A lot of the bad things about PSP that people complain about I've yet to discover - I have tons of battery life(If I can watch a full movie, play Dynasty Warriors for a good hour or so, and not have it die when I randomly turn it back on later that day with screen at full brightness, It's got a good battery), I don't have any trouble with my buttons, and not a single bad pixel.. so I think a lot of that is just paranoia on some accounts. I mean, most systems will probably have pixel problems, but it's not just PSP. My friend recieved a brand new red SP for Christmas last year, and she has a dead pixel on her screen, and my boyfriend had a dead pixel on his silver DS.

As for N-Gage.. well, all I know that's being sold right now is the pre-paid model that goes for $99. I think all other models got recalled because of a newer version being made or something like that. However, I know at some stores they have 50% off N-Gage items, so maybe.. Nah, it's still not a good reason to get one if you ask me.. It's just a glorified cell phone.

Maybe Nintendo is considered to create childish games... But what kind of games ! If you've ever played a Mario Kart, a Zelda, a Smash Bros or even just a Mario, you know what I mean.
Moreover :
1) you can play with all your GBA games on DS
2)Ds will go WIFI ! Playing MarioKart with people all around the world is exciting... And Pokémon will certainly be online too !
3) Zelda. The reason I'll always trust Nintendo is the Zelda games. It is confirmed it will come to the DS, and it seems it will be a new one, not a remake. When you see Twilight Princess, you know Zelda will still rise above other games

I'd easily choose DS over the other two systems for these reasons:

1. Mario Kart DS, New Super Mario Bros., Kirby: Canvas Curse, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Nintendogs and Sonic Rush all coming this year.

2. It's got Wi-Fi capabilities.

3. It's now only $130!

4. You can play GBA games on it
