In the handheld X game, Soul Eraser (US--Xtreme2), there was a Repliroid going around stealing DNA, right? Which is pretty much their soul. But Axel's Copy Shot gives you DNA Cores..so is he stealing souls and fusing with them? o.o

Stealing? No, the reploid is already destroyed. He'd have nothing to steal from since he's picking them up off the ground.
Fusing? No, since instead of "fusing," Axl actually becomes the reploid he has the DNA core of.
also, DNA cores are probably a tangible object. Souls are not. |

No!! Axl destroy the reploid, take the DNA sample And then he copy the sample so he can change his form to the reploid that has the DNA, its not fusing and he just "COPY" the DNA

While i DO agree with the copy thing, it's not necessary for him to destroy a reploid in question, or even BE present when that happens.
He just need the data itself to do so (otherwise, how do you explain the fact that, when Axl joins the party in MMXCM, he already has the data of Wild Jango, Silver Horn and Mad Nautilus (even though, he wasn't there at the time...)?

I'd give a rather obscene explanation myself (I also wondered how Axl got Red's DNA in X7 when Zero clearly dragged the kid out of Crimson Palace), but for the sake of others' emotional equilibrium I won't.
Honestly though, I just thought it was for the sake of gameplay. I mean, it's cool, right?

X and the other went to giga city is for investigating the copy DNA system so i tough when they destroy the reploid boss they take the DNA sample for investigating and i bet Axl get the DNA sample from Nana or R
