I always thought Blues' symbol resembled the Ying-Yang symbol in a way....

It's just a wild guess, but maybe Glyde's icon is Gabcom's logo.
My only guess for Colorman's icon is that it's colorful, hence his name. Magicman, Punk, Knightman, Mistman, Darkman, Yamatoman, & Serenade completely escape me at this point.

What the Hikari family symbol looks like is the head of a screw that you would use a flat-head on.
Perhaps because when Wily worked on robotics, Tadashi Hikari helped him? So, maybe to symbolize robotics, Tadashi Hikari used the bolt as a symbol?
Just some quick theories there. |

Knightman's is a Coat of Arms design, I think. I don't even know what the other Navis' symbols look like, so if anyone could provide me with some images of them, that'd be great. :O

When u said it, it does look like ia part of a heart when I see it. And Im right with Shadien about thinking that the symbols are there to relate them to their operator.

I don't think it really matters what Rockman's icon is supposed to be. Since he and Netto are the main characters, that makes their icon the series' icon.

GutsMan - the green cross that you often see in the helmets of construction workers. It represents their brute strength
BombMan - an explosion that looks like a W: he is a Navi of the WWW
SnakeMan - a diamond. It could either mean (a) Ms. Millionaire's wealth or (b) a snake's scale. It could also be both...
TopMan - a top. Period.
StoneMan - a stone cube. Period.
NapalmMan - an explosion that looks like a mushroom cloud. Period.

PlantMan's is a set of thorns arranged circularly pointing outwards. That is his primary weapon after all - thorny vines

Colonel - it's a bar. I think there's this thing in the military uniform that the more bars you have, the higher your rank is.

Well, it simple, in the army, when you are a Cononel, you have that bar as an insignia, you most used it as special presentations or honor callments.
Now, for the thing of what are the Symbols for, as you can see, when a soul unison is made, the symbol of Rockman and the other Navi starts to shine, I think that the symbol have all the programing if the Navi, like his aspect, form of talking, of movement, and abilities. Also like the style change like Fire Guts, Elec Brother, Wood Shield, Acua Custom and Bug Style, the symbol change color, like by that change the element of Rockman change. Also in Axess[spoil:3ed5bcaaa3] When Netto does Full Syncro, the light that transform him, was put in his Symbol, in other words, by that energy in the Symbol, by some time, he was modified and super power.[/spoil:3ed5bcaaa3]
I think the symbol is the main system of the Navi, like the dna of humans, but in data in Navis. But also, in Roll Soul first apeareance, the Symbol changes to Rolls, and not only in axess, but in season two, when Rockman and Roll are turn into cats, the Elec Brother is done, and the Symbol of Rockman changes two. Of this I think the conection between Roll and Rockman is so strong that their Codes in the Symbol have compleately combine, and if my teory is right, there Data Code is almost the same, with the only diferent thing they have, is that Rolls symbol have codes that give her the ability to heal and Rockman's to combine and change the code data.
And if we talk about Forte, his Symbol was modified by that Navi, making him a very unstable Navi.
Also Rockman symbol is use by the Sci Lab and by Netto's Dad, and even Manabe, since the Sci Lab main proyect is Rockman. |

Auctally Forte's symbol was the painoforte shaped F,in Forte's backstory and EXE3 it explains forte got slashed my another Navi,the only reason he survived was because of his Get Ablity program,He leaves the scar there as a reminder of his hatrated for Humans.

I think the symbols are icons. You know, like desktop icons? And as for what they're supposed to represent, I just think it's an abstract representation of the navi. It doesn't have to mean something in particular, it just has to look like you could associate the appropriate navi with the appropriate mark.

Well, that is right, but also remember, its by that scar in his symbol that makes him have that ability, his data was rewrited, and, if you want to know about the series Forte is completely diferent to the one in the game. |

Forte doesn't even have the Get ability program in the Anime. He does however have the same backstory in the Manga and games. The slash did not give him the get ability program, the slash is what made his mind snap and then attack everyone.

The slash was from a slash from a sword WHEN he went berserk. The security navis tried stopping him when he went crazy and slashed across his symbol. He could have easily healed it, but he decided to keep it to remember what humans have done to him.

Kymera DS this is the second time you tried to sound condecending to people , just for having an opinion of their own, cut it out.
If you're sad enough to try sounding condecending by pointing out the obvious, then you need therapy, and plenty of it
Snakeman: There was originally going to have a navi called "diamondman" but they changed him to snakeman but left his navimark the same.
Yamatoman's mark is not a spear, that's pretty obvious, but since you didn't leave any discusion on it open with your "I SAID SO!!!" mentality, really saying things like "It's what I say, period" really destroys the purpose and fun of a thread like this.
I always thought Glide's mark was a stylized version of the universal "Homosexual" symbol(3 purple triangles)
Coloredman's is a
Junkman's mark is a heavily distorted "Normal Navi" mark
I stand by saying Rockman's mark is a soccer ball....
Plantman's mark is quite clearly a flower, why would a flower based navi not have a flower based navi-mark? That's like saying Shadowman's mark is a Frisbee.

At least it's only my second - I believe yours is the nth time...
Please forgive my heinous crime - I think I was the only one who was ignorant of the fact that there was a plan to make a "DiamondMan" since I don't have contact with Capcom... That's why I guessed what the diamond is supposed to mean...
I would like to reiterate: YamatoMan's symbol is NOT A SPEAR - it is a ROTATING SPEAR held on its other end. That's why there're three lines protuding outward from the center of the circle - not to mention spear-end like marking on the circle itself. AT LEAST, THAT'S WHAT I BELIEVE...
And as for saying periods, it would be more of an insult to the intelligence of the readers if I explained further why that symbol is so. Everyone has common sense, man...
And please tell me that these don't look like a set of thorns...
