This thread is all about PSPs. I got mine a few hours ago. So far I love it. I even wrote this thread on it.
Obviously you should discuss the PSP here, but let me establish some rules.
1. No bashing the PSP.
2. No flaming others

I lke the PSP, but I just don't think they have a very good lineup of games. I like Dynasty Warriors and Mercury, but Smart Bomb...and that racing one....Eh...I have one, and I enjoy it, but I'd rather play my DS.

THe psp is coming out with some nice titles that gamers from PS2 would like like StarWars Battlefront 2 GTA:Liberty City stories

I'm getting one only for the DASH ports. And maybe Darkstalkers. And I'm not gunna have the money for one for a long time. Cuz if there's one thing Sony knows how to do, it's making a console/portable that costs way too damn much. Maybe if they made a Lite Version that was only intended for games...

I own a PSP, it's a nice system, pretty good for storing media, heh, if you get a good Memory Stick, i got a 256MB stick in mine, I got a few AMV's and a couple FF7:AC trailers on mine and like 30 something MP3's and some pictures, I use my 32MB one that came with the PSP for save games  , I got Metal Gear Acid and Twisted Metal: Head On, both are pretty good games....I been thinking on getting Coded Arms, but not sure, also heard that playing the new games well updates your PSP system, and well the older 1.0 models you can hack, like my friend got his to play emulators on it, he showed me him playing Megaman X3 on it, and i was like O_0! That's a game i'll love to play on the road

| I might buy a PSP sometime towards the beginning of 2006. The games Wipeout Pure and Twisted Metal: Head On look pretty neat. But, the $299 price is a bit much for me to afford. I'll probably wait until it's price drops to about $200. Besides, there aren't that many good games coming out for it right now. Smart Bomb, Rengoku and Coded Arms were pretty crappy from what I've heard. |

I got my psp on launch day but I haven't been playing it for a good while there haven't been any games out that I wanted but some good ones is on the way so my psp will get more play time..

if they did the only diff would be, they didn't put the software in it to play mp3 and UMD movies but if sony did that then some one would write a program and distrubrite it for free and then sony would lower the price of the psp and discontinue the psp light

I herd Rumors that the PSP was going to have Flash built into it soon so that it could play Flash videos and also it was going to have internet conncection.I can see it being built withnew models but how would other people who got psp's now get the Flash put in?

PSP has internet already and it probably won't ever have Flash because people will be able to replicate PSP games onto Flash versions and send it all over the internet I think. Anyway the PSP gets it's firmware updated through the internet I think or if you're in Europe and Australia, currently, and you buy the PSP you'll get the v 2.0 firmware in a UMD, so you can update it practically instantly. |

My friend has a PSP so I can get my fix from him. Coded Arms is a really good first person shooter, despite the fact that it's kinda hard to turn the camera the right way. I usually use Setting D.
CardCaptor Snake...I mean Metal Gear Acid is kinda fun, but it's damn long. Twisted Metal is also a good game and will entertain you until you remember to recharge the damn thing...and My friends says WipeOut is a kickass game, but I haven't tried it yet.
The PSP can be used for more fun stuff on the road then the DS, but the DS lasts longer through a charge. I plan on getting a DS instead...but it's good to have friends with certain systems.

In that case I'll never buy a PSP. Shoot I have $900+ worth of GAMES I'm saving for, and I sure as hell ain't shellin out a third of that for pretty much nothing. The unit itself is what? $250? Then I'd have to get a "Memory Stick" thing, and I've seen the prices on those. actualy 250 gets you a psp with all the paperwork and wires + a headphone inline reomote thing + a 32 meg memory stick + some other stuff

still doesn't get ya any games... :/ that's all I'd want the thing for anyway. is it possible to just buy a PSP without all that extra crap included? like just the unit itself?

| The one reason that I don't want to buy a PSP right now is because its lineup of games for the year is really weak compared to the DS's lineup. The DS will be getting Animal Crossing, Sonic Rush, Mario Kart, Castlevania, Super Mario Bros., Final Fantasy and other huge hits while the PSP will have to depend on GTA: Liberty City Stories, Burnout Legends and Daxter to survive. |
