| Who is Gau actually? Does he appear in other rockman series? I've seen him in one of the early concept arts for Exe 1 but I thought it only appeared in Exe 5. :/ |

| Nope, there was a robotic dog that appears in a very early episode of the first show that may've been based on his concept sketches, but other than that, he's not in the show. |

Gau, the dog... Pretty sure he hasn't appeared in any other the other games either.(Original, X, Legends/Dash & Zero also)
And you're right, he was in the EXE1 sketches, but Netto never did have a dog.
And like Kirbopher said, he hasn't been in the show. 1st/2nd season, Axess or Stream. Atleast... Not yet... >_> |

Haha. I suppose it could have been avoided if it was spelled like in the English Version of the game? "Gow"?
I was thinking though, perhaps Gau(or some reincarnation) will make an appearance in Beast or EXE 6? Since Netto [spoil:8f2d359301]moves in EXE 6, maybe he'll move in Beast[/spoil:8f2d359301] and hey, why not get a new dog to boot?
Or maybe he'll just appear on the net randomly. Haunting Rockman for a doggy biscuit! -_-; |

Gau was based on a dog that Netto was going to have when the series was in early design stages. That is why Netto has a doghouse, they decided not to give him a dog, but they didn't redesign his house.

I'm guessing the closest thing to Gau is Paprika, from the first Legends Game (the one that was barking at Tron in the city, early in the game). I'm just not sure if that is the original Japanese name...

The game says that Gau is a dog that Yuuchirou had.
but as the Vision Burst tells us, Gau died when Netto was 1.
So he didn't knew anything about his dog.
although, it was very smart of his grandfather to [spoil:04725bc0c4]hide the improtant data inside Gau within the Vision Burst. Who will think that Gau has it? o:[/spoil:04725bc0c4] [do not read if you didn't played EXE 5].
Anyway, that why Netto didn't mentioned his dog.
But this is Gau's Doghouse. =x
Maybe Gau will show up in Beast as Rockman will find suddenly a VisionBurst door and a key. =O

Sosher, you are a bit confused there. [spoil:2f46f26d07]Gau was Yuuichirou's dog when he was a kid. Takashi hid data about the Kokoro network inside a data copy of Gau. Though Gau was already dead when Netto and Saito were born.
Obviously since Takashi did hid the data inside Gau, that means he was alive when Netto was born so probably died shortly after Netto died. Gau was already dead because Haruka said something about them never having a dog. She also said Yuuichirou mentioned a dog he had as a kid named Gau.[/spoil:2f46f26d07]
I spoiled this just incase some people that are reading this haven't played 5, or haven't gotten that far. |

Gau also disappears after that, meaning that he was placed there. Haruka also said that Gau was there before she married Yuuichiro.
