The Xenosaga. (Episode 3: Also Spracht Zarathustra)

Xenogears is a really good game. It took me about 51 hours to beat it. After the credits roll, it says "Xenogears: Episode 5" Which tells me that they had Xenosaga planned out even before they finished Xenogears. So I guess that means we can look forward to 2 more episodes of Xenosaga.

Well, about that... let me recp that they're not 5 episodes, but indeed 6 EPISODES!!! which means that we'll see more of Fei and friends in about... *Calculates with exact time between Der Wille zur Mach and Jenseits von gut und bose...* 2012... Maybe...

Ya, your right. I remember hearing that there would be 6 games in total. So I'm hoping there will be more with Fei and Elly. And does anyone know if the Zohar is still on the planet, or if it went with Krelian?. Cause I think it's still around since we never really saw it in Xenosaga.

Yeah. The poor original Zohar kidnapped by the Abel's Ark and the other twelve emulators in Kukai's posetion. Maybe all the 13 will appear again in episode 6 and finally do what they're supposed to do... then [spoil:d423fa9e3a]U-DO returns and the climatic final battle where U-DO is finally erradicated and universal peace arrives after 10,000 years since Episode 1 started it all.[/spoil:d423fa9e3a] That's a pretty good quess.

TGS 2005: Xenosaga Episode III unveiled

Monolith Soft is developing the third--and "final"---installment to its popular sci-fi RPG series.
Besides giving the public its first look at Metal Gear Solid 4, the latest issue of Famitsu magazine has the first details on Xenosaga Episode III. Bearing the Nietzschean title Xenosaga Episode III: Also Sprach Zarathustra, the game will be the final installment in the Xenosaga trilogy. Like the previous two Xenosagas, Episode III is being developed for the PlayStation 2 by Monolith Soft and will be published by Namco. No release date has been announced at the current time.

Xenosaga Episode III will take place one year after the end of Episode II and will once again focus on the adventures of series heroine Shion Uzuki and her friends. Party members confirmed to be in Episode III include JR, KOS-MOS, and Ziggy. The graphics in Xenosaga Episode III will be in the more-realistic style of Episode II, as opposed to the cutely deformed look of Episode I.

Episode III takes place after Shion resigns from her job as chief engineer of Vector Corporation's R&D Division when she discovers the company is involved in the destructive Gnosis Phenomenon. She now works together with an underground organization called Scientia, which is attempting to expose Vector Corporation's wrongdoings. After her departure from Vector, Shion learns that her old employer has canceled its KOS-MOS project--just as a mysterious android named T-elos, which strikingly resembles KOS-MOS, appears. It's expected that Episode III will reveal many of the mysteries surrounding the series, such as the Vector Corporation's true objective.

Xenosaga Episode III will once again feature two battle modes: character battle, where party members directly fight with enemies, and robot battle, where they duke it out inside giant mechs. Character battles will feature three-member parties as in previous installments. The game has abandoned the complicated zone system from Episode II, and the powerful tech attacks from Episode I have been brought back.

GameSpot will have additional information about Xenosaga Episode III from the 2005 Tokyo Game Show floor

How come "Final"? If people remember, Testuya Takahashi said that the whole thing including Xenogears was 6 episodes. And if Xenogears ends up being episode 5, as it says on its ending, then how come this can be final? I don't think so.

is it just me, or does Shion remind me a bit of Excel from Excel Saga?

What does this title mean this time?

we had the "Will to Power" and "Beyond Good and Evil" so this must be... I dunno...

they have to make it into a real CG movie... I would love that... then again... it's becuase I'm too lazy to play the game...

The title means "Thus Spoke Zarathustra". It's the title of a book that follows the philosopher Zarathustra and his name means 'god is dead'.

There was some hot debate back some time ago about episode III being the finale of Shion's story, and then Episode IV would start off with a new cast of characters. But that was...I don't know, almost a year ago?

I myself have only played Episode I, but I've never finished it (rental). I've seen the ending though. Once Episode II becomes a Greatest Hit, I'll probably get that along with the first one.

Even if Episode 2 still doean't reach the greatest hits, Episode 1 is worth buying. Many critics call Xenosaga: "The greatest Sci Fi based RPG of our time"

For Episode 3, glad that tech attacks are back.And the new looks... Kos-Mos... looks like she has the TWS modules set up already for any use... Shion, many people say she looks like a [spoil:106ffb9822]Street Hooker[/spoil:106ffb9822] *Just felt like spoiling that... I haven't seen the new designs for Jr, Chaos and Momo. But Ziggy stays the same... how long can the paperwork for the life extension body work take for Ziggy? Ir he didn't agreed with a carbon based body?

And if E.S. Zenbulun stays, then we'll have 4 E.S.s to choose from. The new E.S. Reuben has a BIG @$$ Katana! So now it would be possible to split up in two teams of E.S.s to cover more terrain like it was supposed to be done in the Ormus Stronghold in Episode 2.
