Meiru and Roll's Adventure *UPDATED* 9-20-05

Hello,
This is my first fanfic (and hopefully not my last >_< ) suggestions welcome, thanks for reading.

I have not seen past Axess Ep 30 or played past BN5 so there is no Spoilers past what I have seen or played.

Chapter One "Late."

“Hurry, Meiru, or you’re going to be late! ” Roll told her netop as the girl hurried down the sidewalk on her scooter

“I know, I’m going as fast as I can. We're almost there anyway. I can’t believe I overslept! I must be spending too much time with Netto." Meiru looked up at the clock as she raced into the schoolyard, hoping the bell hadn't rung yet.

"Hey, Meiru-chan, over here!" Netto said, waving his arm in the air.

“Good morning.” Meiru said

“I can’t believe you were almost late today.” Netto said

“It’s not my fault,” Meiru protested as she folded her scooter and put it in her locker. “My PET Charger shorted out so the battery in my PET didn’t charge and Roll never woke up from stasis mode." She said walking to class.

“Now I have to save up some money and buy a new one since mom and dad can’t get one for a few weeks.” she explained as they walked into the classroom.

“Maybe after school we could go to Scilab and I could get papa to look at it and see if he can fix it for you Meiru-chan.” Netto told her as they went over and stood next to there desks.

“That would be wonderful Netto.” She said as she put her books in her desk and hung her backpack on the back of her chair.

“Hi Netto, Hi Meiru, Yaito said as she walked over to them. “What are you two doing for your two week vacation?” She asked them.

“Hi guys.” Dekao said as he walked over to the trio. “Whatcha talking about?” he asked.

“I was asking what everyone had planned for there two week vacation.” Yaito said

”Papa has to work in Creamland so Mama, Rockman and I are going with him.” Netto said “And we will leave tomorrow.”

“Me and Chisao are going to Yoka for a few days to see the Zoo and to stay at the Inn, then we are going to Amerope for the rest of the time.” Dekao said.

“Chisao wants to go to the Zoo!” Yaito, Netto and Meiru all said a little shocked.

“Yeah they moved the vulture to a different zoo now so he don’t mind going to visit it.” Dekao explained

“What about you Meiru?” Yaito asked

“Um….” Meiru started “Dad and mom both have to work so I will be staying here.” She said

“Well I have to go to a Gabcom meeting with my dad about a new handheld videogame system that they are going to make called the Gabcom.Micro and I won’t be back until next week sometime.” Yaito said

“Ok, settle down class settle down.” Mrs. Mariko-sensei said as she walked into the classroom and the bell rang and everyone went to there desks and sat down “Let’s get started with the Attendance” she said as a normal day in Akihara Middle School had begun…..

Pretty good so far, but if the Spoiler thing was about the Zoo, I warn you it haooened in EXE3.

As for the first chapter, it seems a preety good introduction to the characters and soon to come.

i like your writing style, and though i know how the setting looks, you should describe the neighborhood for those who haven't played the games or seen the show (though most here have). Also, describe the navis for those people. You don't have to, but if it ever goes to a site that has more than rockman...

Hi, Due to the fact I got laid off and no longer have a job after this second chapter I wont be updating this fic for a while. I'm really mentaly drained and I do not want this effecting how I write this if ay mods feel like this should be closed till in ready to continue thats ok I understand.........Now for your UPDATE.........

Chapter Two “Diagnosis.

“And that’s why not all viruses are bad.” Yaito said then sat back down in her chair.

“Very good Yaito-chan.” Ms. Mariko said as she put away some papers from her desk
“As all of you know school will be out for the next two weeks so I won’t be giving out any homework today.”

Hurray’s,wohoo’s and yeah’s filled the classroom as the kids cheered for the two week vacation.

“However” She interrupted them “I will be expecting a two page report on what you did on your 2 week vacation” she said as she stood up and looked at the clock.

“Awwwwww.” the whole class said in unison and then the Bell rang.

“Class is dismissed, enjoy your vacation.” She told her class as they all started leaving.

“Hey Meiru would you like to go shopping with me this afternoon at four?” Yaito asked her as she put her books away in her desk and got ready to leave.”
“I have nothing to ware and I must go buy a few outfits for the trip.” She said.

“That sounds great.” Meiru said “I will meet you at your house as soon as Netto and I get back from Scilab.”

“Why are you going to Scilab?” Dekao asked as he and Netto walked over to the two girls.

“Meiru’s PET Charger shorted out.” Netto said “So we are going to see if Papa can fix it.”

“Oh.” Dekao said.

“When did that happen?” Yaito asked

“During the night sometime.” Meiru said “That’s why I was almost late for School this morning.”

“Why don’t you just buy a new one?” Yaito asked her

“Dad and Mom said they wouldn’t be able to afford one till dads next paycheck since dad had to get the transmission replaced on the car, and he wont get paid for 2 more weeks, and I checked the warranty on the charger and it expired 3 days ago.” She told her.

“Oh, you know I have a spare charger you could have till you get your new one if Dr.Hikari is unable to fix yours.” Yaito said

“Thank you Yaito.” Meiru said “ I will get it when I meet you at four to go shopping if mine is not fixable.”

“Perfect I will see you then.” Yaito said as she hurried from the class

“I gotta be going to, my mom told me I have to clean my room before Chisao gets here, so I will see you guys later.” Dekao said then turned around and picked up his PET from his desk and left.

“Well are you ready to go?” Netto asked Meiru.

“Yeah lets go” she told him and they headed off toward scilabs.

I decided to write Chapter 3 I hope you like it.

Chapter Three "Disrepair."

"Well were here."Netto said as he removed his wheels from his shoes and placed them back on his backpack.
"Papa should be on the third floor." Netto told her as she set her scooter next to the bicycle rack just outside scilabs.

"Ok, I just really hope he can fix my charger." Meiru said as she followed Netto inside.

"Welcome to Scilabs how can I help you?" the receptionist asked as she looked away from her computer screen towards Netto and Meiru.
"Oh, hello Netto coming to visit your dad?"she asked before Netto could say anything
"He is up in his office you can go ahead and go up there he should'nt be to busy." she said and then she picked up the phone that started to ring.

"Thank you." Netto said as he and Meiru walked towards the elevator doors.

"Hi Papa." Netto said as he and Meiru walked into his father lab.

"Netto-kun" Yuichirou said as he looked up from his PC monitor
"Oh, and Meiru too, what are you two up to today." he asked as he stood up and walked over to meet them.

"Well, Meiru-chan's PET charger shorted out and I was wondering if you could take a look and see if you could fix it?" Netto said as Meiru pulled the broken charger from her backpack and handed it to Yuichirou.

"I give it my best shot." Yuichirou told then as he walked over to a table and started taking the charger apart.

"Im sure he will be able to fix it for you Meiru-chan." Netto said as they walked over and sat down at a table

"You're probably right Netto-kun I'm sure he will have it good as new in no time" Meiru said and they started to talk about things that had happened in School that day.

"Netto-kun Meru-chan could you come over here a second." Yuichirou said as he looked at the status screen on the front of the charger.

"Did you fix it?" Netto asked as he and Meiru walked up to the table where Dr.Hikari stood

"Well..." Yuichirou said as he tapped the screen and it flashed on and then back off, "It appears that the circuit board has been cracked probably caused by a power surge or possibly a virus but the bad news is when I tried to repair it it burned out the status screen which then shorted out the powercell on the circuit board."

"Huh??" Netto said a little confused

"I fixed it but it broke again." Dr.Hikari said as he unplugged the charger and handed it back to Meiru, "Im sorry I couldn't repair it Meiru-chan, can you buy another one?" he asked.

"Not for a while." she said as she put the broken charger back in her backpack "We can't afford it at the moment we had some car problems dad has to fix first." she said

"I see." Dr.Hikari said thoughtfully "Well I have an Idea does your family have any plans for your two week holiday?" he asked

"No dad is working overtime to get the car repaired and so we will be in town the whole time." Meiru told him

"Well Scilabs is reopening the Job BBS over the hoiday if your interested in making a little extra cash there will be alot of different Jobs posted and if you can get here early in the day you can select the better paying jobs before anyone else." Dr.Hikari said as he sat back down at his desk.

"That sounds great." Meiru said as she looked at her PET, "What do you think Roll?" She asked her navi.

"Thats fine by me and it sure beats cleaning your room ten times a day." Roll told her.

"Heh yeah I guess it does." Meiru said

"Good good, just be here around 8:00 A.M. and you should do fine." Dr.Hikari said as he opened his desk drawer and pulled out a small card and held it out towards Meiru, "You will need one of these to be able to use the Job BBS when you go to the first floor insert this card into the Job BBS and then type your name in and then your all set, but don't loose it you will need it to get paid for doing the jobs that you pick." he said as he closed the desk drawer. "Well I better get back to work, Netto make sure you get home and get packed for the trip we will leave early tomorrow

"Yes Papa." netto said

"Thanks for all your help Dr.Hikari." Meiru said as her and Netto started to leave.

"Any time, oh and Meiru-chan the Job BBS opens on Monday at 7:30am so remember to be here by at least 8:00am and also to enjoy your vacation."
he said with a smile as Netto and Meiru left his office and he started back to work.

"Thank you Netto for all your help." Meiru said as she pulled the card from the slot on the Job BBS and placed it in her backpack.

"It was nothing." Netto said blushing a little as they walked out of Scilabs and over to Meiru's Scooter.

"Well its almost time to meet Yaito-chan, I hope you enjoy your trip." Meiru said then she turned gave Netto a small hug got on her scooter and made her way to the Subway as Netto stood there for a few seconds then started to wave goodbye.

Wow I can't believe I have been Unemployed for four months but I figured I should start on this fic again and I also hope to have a Job at the new GameStop store that is opening in my hometown~!!! :]

As I said before; I love your writing syle.

More specifically, you have managed to both set up the foundations for the story and remind us of Lan and Mayl's relationship, all in one chapter.
I think that it was done very smoothly and look forward to the next chapter as soon as you can.

Hmm.

Well...I like it. Your style is a tad garbled. unfortunately. There are some spelling and grammar errors festooned throughout the three chapters you have written so far, and at times, they are nothing more than a mild annoyance. Other times, they clash with the spoken dialogue.

Also...the title seems to be misleading a bit. So far, nothing about the story seems rather "adventurous" yet--it seems more like the tales of an ordinary set of days leading to a vacation. I'm tempted to think, however, that the action will pick up a bit more as the chapters unfold, so I'll defer judgment on that until later.

Overall...it's a decent start. I'd like to see how it turns out.

The style is a little choppy, but in all honesty I didn't really mind it. There were some humor moments, and I'm sure there's more to come, along with just overall good stuff. Yeah there's typos, but they're not very intrusive and can be ignored. Overall a decent start and continuation, and can't wait for more, though I understand about the slowness between posts (I'm out of work myself @_@; ). Can't wait for more ^^

I GOT THE JOB AT GAMESTOP!!!!! w00t!!!! so yeah here is chapter 4!!!

Chapter 4 "Shopping"

"I think this is the last store in all of Electopia." Meiru said as her and Yaito and a line of Yaito's servants carrying all the things Yaito had bought stopped at the clothing store's main doors.

"I suppose so." Yaito said "But I still want to go in here they have the nicest shoes in all of Electopia and I MUST look my best for daddies Gabcom meeting." she stated almost princess like.

"Ok." Meiru said with a smile and followed her friend inside the store, she knew it was no use to try and argue with Yaito over it because she would just do what she wanted to do anyway.

"Ohhhh look at these." Yaito said to Meiru as she held up a shiny pink pair of shoes that looked almost exactly like the shoes she already had on.

"Um, aren't you wearing those shoes already?" Meiru asked

"No silly these are the Sassy Pink colored ones and I am wearing the Pretty Pink ones." Yaito said as she tried on the left shoe

"They look the same to me." Roll said quietly so only Meiru heard her.

"I just have to get them, they will go perfectly with the outfit I got today." Yaito said.

"I think they will go with all Fifty outfits she bought." Meiru mumbled to Roll

"What?" Yaito asked

"Im gonna go look over there I think I saw a pair of shoes I might like." Meiru said and then walked around the corner over to a small shelf.

"That was a close one." Roll said

"Whew tell me about it." Meiru said as she noticed a sign

"All shoes in damaged boxes on this shelf only 65% Off!"

"Wow." Meiru said as she glanced at the shoes to find a pair she liked, she was just about to stop looking when she saw the tip of a black shoe sticking out from the bottom shelf.
"And what are you." she said as she pulled them out to get a better look at them.

They were a nice pair of black low top sneakers they had a little dust on them but looked very nice and the tag read size 6.

"Those are nice." Roll said

"Just my size too." Meiru said as she sat down on the chair next to the shelf and decided to try one on, "They fit me perfectly." she said as she stood up and took a few steps to see if they were comfortable.

"How do they feel?"Roll asked

"Wonderful!" Meiru said happily "Now to see how much they cost." she said as she sat back down and looked at the tags "1800 Zenny..figures it was to good to be true." she said as she started to put them back on the shelf.

"Wait Meiru-chan you forgot they are 65% off." Roll said as she calculated the new price of the shoes "That would make them only 765 Zenny."

"Hmm, I have 900 Zenny set back for the new charger but I really could use these shoes next week as I do the jobs on the Job BBS." she said as if trying to convince herself to get them.

"You could always just do one more job to make up for the money for the shoes too." Roll said encouragingly

"Yeah thats a great idea Roll I think Ill do that." Meiru said as she put her old shoe back on and picked up her soon to be new shoes and walked over to the register next to Yaito who was already paying for eight new pair of shoes at the next register.

"Will this be all for you today Miss?" the clerk asked Meiru as she scanned the small tag on the shoe.

"Yes thank you." Meiru said as she opened her backpack to get the Zenny to pay for her shoes.

"Wonderful, your total is 765 Zenny." the clerk said and Meiru handed her 800 Zenny then put away her change."Thank you for shopping with us please come again soon." she said with a smile.

"I will." Meiru said as she picked up her bag and headed outside.

"Did you the shoes you wanted?" Yaito asked Meiru while her servants loaded all her packages into her lightpink limousine.

"Yes I found a nice comfortable pair of shoes." Meiru said as she followed Yaito into the limousine and sat her bag in her lap.

"Im glad you did and thanks for going shopping with me this evening." Yaito said as the limousine started down the street. "It's always more fun when you can bring a friend." Yaito said as she pressed the red button on the small panel before her making a small pair of wings unfold from under the limousine and rocket engines from the back suddenly came from nowhere, as well as seat belts fastening around them both as the limo/plane now took off into the sky.

"Thanks for inviting me." Meiru told her "And thanks for letting me borrow that spare pet charger while your away."

"Any time and keep it as long as you need to." Yaito said

"I am going to be doing some jobs on the JobBBS at Scilabs over the holiday and I plan on having a new charger by the time you return."Meiru said

"Thats fine I'm not worried about it, when ever you can return it is fine." Yaito said as a small flashing sign that said "LANDING" turned on and the limousine touched down on the road and resumed its normal form before pulling right infront of Meiru's house.

"Thanks again Yaito-chan, have a good trip." Meiru said as she gather her stuff and stepped out of the limousine and onto her yard closing the door behind her.

"Thanks and I hope you have a good vacation too."Yaito said after she rolled down the door window.

"See ya." they both said as Meiru walked towards her front door and the limousine pulled away heading towards Yaito's house.

"What a day." Meiru said as she took off her shoes then picked up the note that was setting next to the clock, readding it as she carried her stuff up to her room.
"Meiru-chan, went to the store to get a few things supper is in the
microwave be back in a few minutes. Love Mom and Dad."

Meiru's stomach growled as soon as she had finished reading the note.
"I think I will call Netto-kun and wish him a safe trip then get some supper." Meiru said as she threw away the note and picked up the VideoPhone receiver and dialed Netto's number.

"Ill get it." Netto said as he sat his suitcase down in the living room and walked over to the VideoPhone.

"Hello Meiru-chan." he said as the screen lit up and Meiru's face appeared.

"Hi Netto-kun, I hope Im not bothering you." she said as she saw his mom walk behind him with a couple of garment bags in her arms.

"Huh, Oh no no your fine we just finished packing and are about to get to bed." he told her

"Oh, I wont keep you long then."she said. "I just wanted to tell you have a safe trip and to enjoy yourself."

"Oh, well thank you Meiru-chan." he said "I hope you have a good vacation too."

"Thanks, well I will let you go I know you have a long trip tomorrow, Oyasumi Netto-kun see you when you get back."

"Bye, Meiru-chan see ya." Netto said then replaced the receiver back on its holder.

Meiru sighed as she placed the receiver back on its holder then her stomach growled again.

"Im starved lets go eat." she told Roll as she smilled and headed for the kitchen.

"We may not get to go to places like Creamland for our vacation but we will still have a good time wont we roll."Meiru told her navi as she opened the microwave to get her supper.

"Thats right Meiru-chan we will have plenty of fun." she told her net op.

"Right!" Meiru agreed and she started getting her food ready and wondering what the next two weeks had in store for her.

OMG Hope you like it, the shoe part with the 2 colors of pink happened to me when I took my little sister shopping and she felt she had to explain to me that they were not the same color of Pink. XD XD

This will be the last chapter for setting things up for vacation part of the story and I want everyone to know there will be NO crossfusion in this fic at all.

pretty good... Although there were a few...JUST a few...like maybe 3 or more mistakes in it...Just capitalization and ....yeah....Just like Searchman said...I dont really get the purpose of that chapter either...oh and congrats that you got your job at gamestop :D

This chapter was because Meiru had to get the spare charger from Yaito so she can Charge her pet till she gets the new one And the fact My little sister drug me off to get her some shoes and that happened to me with the two different colors of Pink shoes.

In other words Filler till the Adventures come next.
