My only peeve about the dub is:
1. The Opening grunts...
2. Naruto's voice sounding like a squirrel with asthma (sp?)...
That's it... the blood loss is hilarious to me because they still plug their noses XD XD XD
overall... it's a pretty good dub... _________________

Being a big Naruto fan myself...
I did not like the opening and ending at all.
Pronunciations annoyed me...
Other then that they didn't do too badly...
--; Gennin is not Gen-neen(prounced like Jean)
Im not going to judge till at least five eopisodes are shown though...
So as of yet... no ratings. _________________ Dreams echo in the void of time striving for completion. Innocent thing, these fragile dreams to each his or her own.~ ME |

I saw the first episode last night on Bionix. Having not seen the sub before, I can't make a comparison, but I thought voices & content were okay. _________________

I saw it on bionix too. And I've never heard Naruto's Japanese voice so when I heard his dub voice, I didn't think it suited his character based on how he looks. You'd think someone who looked like Naruto would have a less childish, more roguish voice. So that will take getting use to.
Also I don't know why they took out the nosebleeds during the sexy no jitsu. Nosebleeds are the funniest kinds of bleeding there is, and I don't see them being gory at all. So why bother.
Also the names are too tough to remember. I've never heard them before, so I've had no chance to memorize them. I thought the sensei's name was Haruka, and I thought to myself "Uh, is that not a woman's name?". The villain in the first ep, can't remember his name, but I couldn't get my head around the fact that he sounded like Yamato from Digimon. That pretty much ruined his performance for me.
I must say, this series looks promising. I've never seen Naruto but I've always wanted to, and now there's no excuse not to anymore. The fight scenes also look cool. _________________ Original name: blazequest |

Well, the nosebleeds are a cultural thing having to do with old wive's tales in Japan. They're brought on by dirty thoughts or something. Since we don't have those superstitions, they excised it. Or something like that. And I don't see why people would be surprised at this being done well with Viz involved. Viz is excellent. It's unfortunate that ShoPro ruined Rockman.EXE before Viz swallowed them. Maybe things'll be fixed... yeah right. Viz is good, but redoing Rockman is asking too much. Still, I've certainly enjoyed Naruto so far and will be glad to get ahold of it uncut when it's available. _________________ Church: Are you following any of this?

Any basic person also wouldn't know what the kanji on Inner Sakura's forhead is, so why take out the nosebleed and not the kanji just because we don't know what it represents? _________________ (( X-cessively Excesive ))

You may bash shopro, and I don't have any authority to stop you, but if you were given Rockman EXE, who would you try to get to watch it? Ninjas and fox demons are one thing, but navis, internet battles and power based on friendship is slightly different. A teenager, IMO, is more likely to be turned on by ninjas than by PETs and battle chips. To be frankly honest, I thought Rockman EXE was a stupid show that was based entirely on the concept of such shows as Digimon. It was only because it was based on Megaman that I gave it a shot, and it was then that I realised "Ok there is something here that's interesting". I still think that kids would be attracted to Rockman EXE, simply because I think it's a kids show with adult vulgarity and violence. What did you expect them to do? If they tried to pass it off as an adult show it would never have worked. At least as a kids show it has some credibility.
Anyways, in regards to Naruto, I was also looking foreward to seeing the intro and hearing it's opening theme, "Rocks", so when I saw it I thought "...uh ...was that it?". Naturally dissapointment ensued. But I digreess, I will keep watching it. _________________ Original name: blazequest |

I wonder why they changed the opening sequence if their still using the same song, at least I think it is. But I saw bits from the second and third ending in there. |

The nosebleed in Japan is more commonly seen as having an erection, actually. Since it's not hard to figure out, they had to get rid of that.
Naruto's dub is just great. It's the best thing ShoPro has ever done. |

Yeah, the nosebleed was cut simply for it being a lot of...yanno, BLOOD running, not because of the reference it implied. |

Ok, is it just me, or has the whole "Believe It" bit getting to ya now....
In the past 4 dub episodes aired on TV, Naruto keeps on rambling going "Believe it, Believe it" like at least 4-6 times a episode....it's getting annoying now *sigh*, that's my newest gripe of the series....Naruto needs to stop believing it, lol! _________________ -Follow me on Twitch.tv-

I was wondering when someone was going to get around to that! I know he's got dreams of becoming a Hokage, but stop doing the "believe it" thing! >_< I think we all get it by now! _________________ I am Solar Boy Django! TAIYOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!!!

Oh man, I hate it when he says "Believe it!"...
It's obvious it's a direct translation of an exclamation that makes more sense in Japanese, but it gets irritating after a while. >_< _________________ HGoGA!!!!!! |
