well its not a huge recommendation but why not making an announcements subforum instead of having all the announcements and general rules in the hello and bye subforum

At this time, we can't create subforums at all. And I don't think it would be a good idea to do this, mostly because it makes the rules and such easier to ignore, which enough people do already. ^_^;
