Yes, I'm 90% sure that Taisa is the japanese equivalent of Colonel, because that's what Riza Hawkeye calls Mustang in Full Metal Alchemist. While I think lieutenant is Chuui...

Ryouko explained that the Crack in the pet occured in the Movie. When we first saw Barrel as an old man back in the first episodes of Stream, his PET was already cracked.

It has been confirmed that the crack is inflicted in the movie (saw it myself). Barrel is part of the Ameroupe military, and serves the rank of "Colonel", or "Taisa". Netto just calls him "Barrel-san" though. :P

You'd think the crack in Barrels PET would make his CF kinda off balance?

and i know this is off topic but I was on the offical site for BEAST and i think that Cross Fusion may be replaced...or maybe the 'beast outs' are the new CF!!

Barrel's Pet is damaged when he dies? Then it must mean that Barrel will come back to his own time after defeating Duo... That's hard, he will know when his death will happen.
Or easier, the writers of Stream are not annoyed by time paradoxes, and Barrel will live happy with a new future in the past, or in Netto's time

In the movie, Barrel states that he will have to go back to the future once more, before the events with Nebula Grey's finale. Obviously Barrel's been to the future more than once - perhaps with Wily's assistance. Unfortunately I can't decipher much more than that.

So maybe the time travel made Barrel die younger I mean it is possible right? I think that Barrel should have a CF henshin. I also think that the writers are running low on designs for CF.

Barrel's aging is explained in the finale of Episode 51. I'll explain it thouroughly in the summary I am writing (since it kinda..you know...gives away the entire Stream ending). And yes, Barrel got a transformation sequence. :>
