How does a slasher work?

Can anyone tell me how you use a slasher besides using it in the PA of evil cut?

I tried several times but It didn't work and sometimes the enemies just died instantly before I could see what was going on

Doesn't it attack enemies if they come into your area? Or am I thinking of another chip? .-.

I use it for 2xhero in bn3 other then that I cant think of anything, since the fishies went extinct there wasn't any use, maybe you can use it against a Moloko virus.

Slasher isn't a part of EvilCut, that PA is made of StepSword, StepCross, and HeroSword. Slasher is a part of 2XHero, but it has uses on its own. It doesn't work that well on Moloko's unless you can remove their fur first. It's still good on navis that enter your area like Protoman though.

Yeah one kinda cool thing you can do is that if you have stloen, lets say 2 out of 3 of a colum and you go to the front, like this:
X your panels
Y enemy panels
R Rockman
E Enemy

XXXXYY
XXXREY
XXXYYY

and then the enemy goes here:

XXXXYY
XXXRYY
XXXEYY
Slasher will activate.

I always thought that slasher was basically a sword that if you held a if would strike an enemy as soon as it was on the panel in front of you.

Well, I think it's if any enemy enters your area and are within one space of you, then it activates. I think it kills Moles from EXE3, but I can't remember off of the top of my head right now.

They don't have to be within one panel, the Slasher hits anywhere as long as it's in your area.

That's most helpful. I was wondering what it did exactly. That and Salamander...I think. Or geiser. Maybe both. Whichever one or ones that cause water to come out of a broken panel. It NEVER works for me. I've thrown it into a broken panel, next to one, while on top of one (using air shoes), and other ways...but it seems to be a useless chip, other than sacrificing to put out net fires...

IIRC, the Salamandra/WaterLine/GaiaBlade/Lightning cycle works only with certain things. The first two require a hole to use, the GaiaBlade sucks up damage from the next chips, and Lightning needs an obstacle.

Slasher is effective against many enemies. DrillMan too.

Yes, Slasher is one of THE chips to use against Drillman. There are few things Drillman fears, and Slasher is pretty high on the list.

Prominence/Salamander works if you're a Heat Style and you make sure the enemies you want to hit are between you and a hole. It basically shoots a stream of fire out of Megaman and that stream heads right for the hole. The stream can travel up or down as well as right, but you'll likely never need to hit enemies above or below you.

Geyser works if you throw it into a hole. It may not be working for you because you're taking "broken" to mean "cracked". You should be taking it to mean "gone"

use it against Molkolo's, bound notes, and those annoying spider, or Blues and Metalman. I don't use it at all, unless for 2x Hero PA.

Ahhh... I'll have to remember that next time I fight Drillman. I beat him without it last time, but I can't remember the way I beat him.

I did throw the Geyser into a hole...and it didn't work. Did nothing. Does it have to be a hole in a certain position to an enemy? Heh, I wasted a lot of HP playing around with it trying to get it to work.

I don't think I ever used GaiaSword because it "takes the power of the next chip" but I do love the pic it has on it. ^_^

The hole has to be three spaces away, and the panel should be gone, not cracked.

I might add that Iai Form (Slasher) is probably your best friend against Beastman when he uses Jumping Claw....and Blues and Drillman were already mentioned...

as for Kankutsusen/Geyser, it can be also used a 10 dmg aqua elemental minibomb type weapon but obviously we don't want that...I dun really see what's so hard, all you have to do is toss it into a hole 3 panels ahead and water will strike all adjecent panels...

Providence/Salamander requires a Heat Style, Thunderbolt requires an Elec Style, GaiaBlade requires a Wood Style, and Daifunzui/Fountain requires an Aqua Style. Also, two of these chips require holes in the field as well.
