who said it had to be their child? Slur's data could've reformed itself into a baby navi that will eventually become her original form. It's a possibility, but it's an only 1% chance possibility. _________________ EXEHQ. Click now, I demand it.

It doesn't even look like slur. It could be somthing that Netto's dad made or part of the aftermath of the Earth Erasure OR they could have found it.
It'll probably play a big role in the series later on. Looks alot like rockman tho....maybe...he and roll.....nahhh never mind. lol.
Beast looks kinda corny IMO and the theme sounds really corny too....*sigh* I think I'll be done with the EXE series for now.
The preview for Beast turned me off. |

A new topic has been made to discuss Beast. Please keep this thread to Stream discussion only. Thanks. _________________ "Cats are interesting. They're kind of like girls. When they come talk to you, it's great. When you go talk to them, it doesn't go so well." - Miyamoto

Now that I've seen Stream 51, I must say... weird end for a really weird show. It needed more action, like everyone is saying.
STILL!
Rockman and Netto together for the fiiiirst time~! ^_^ (Except that one time in the original EXE, and that doesn't count because they weren't close at all and didn't talk to one another.) Side by side, they DO look very similar. And cute. <3
Didn't Inafune direct or produce this series? I know he was more involved in Stream... I wonder if he'll stay for Beast? (Pwah, the weirdness of Stream is explaaaained!) |

Now that I've got a bit more time and have seen the episode, I'll expand on my previous comment.
It's great that Forte finally did something that shows the power he's supposed to have. He did next to nothing in .exe and in Axess, and when he was finally fighting at the start of Stream he got his butt whupped. Not exactly the nearly undefeatedable power he's known for in the games and manga.
I don't mind there not being a big finally battle. Given the way Duo's been portrayed throughout Stream, it just makes sense that they couldn't beat him in a fight. Besides while Axess provided an interesting final battle, .exe didn't provide that much of one. The Dream Virus in the final episode was just cannon fodder, and Gospel died pretty much because bugstyle Rockman waved his hand. I particularly like the talking part that they did instead of a battle because it finally gave the Navi's a chance to shine, something that's been sorely lacking in Stream. Heck I think there are some episodes where the Navi's themselves don't appear, just their CF's. Also it was nice that Barrel came up with the solution, not Netto. It's rare that someone other than the main character saves the day, which makes this a nice change of pace.
Also does anyone else think that the reason that we don't see a "present day" Colonel after Barrel dies of old age is because Colonel stayed with Duo? You know, sort of take Slur's place, only with being a bit more fair in handing out Asteroid Navi's on the next planet they go to. |

That's an interesting concept to think about, though I still don't really understand Barrel's aging. But, oh well ^^;;; Barrel did kick ubar ass in this one, and I agree, it was awesome to see someone besides the main character figure out something for once.
But...I still have just a bit of anticlimactic feeling. It's not like EXE to just go out with a bit of talking and a battle with a snake thing with Regal's head which got pwnt in five minutes. Hell, I'd have given anything to see Regal actually turn into something halfway decently-powerful looking, instead of a head on a tube. And that corpse was just...freaky. I take it he's not coming back any time soon. >_>;;;
I would have wished for a two-parter ending at the very least. Maybe just a biiiit more action in the first episode, then you can have all the touchy-feely stuff you want in the second one. Maybe even give individual characters more reason for their actions than 'Navis love humans, humans love Navis, end of story'. This ending kinda crammed everything into one episode and genericized everyone except Barrel (who kicked ass, but is beside the point). I like Barrel, but I like the individuality of the other characters too, and they didn't get any mention besides still shots and the part where characters keep talking one-after-another-after-another. Maybe that was enough, but is it really that hard for the humans to actually say something?
And...well...damn it, Forte >__>;; I actually LIKED Slur, and then she goes and dies without even a nice big bang.

I liked Slur's theme, and now it's gone forever....
This was an amazing finale, good to know that the NAVIS themselves could stand up to Duo. |

Eeehh...I may be nitpicking, but after rewatching Axess' ending, I realized it had far better animation than Stream. Okay, sure, there wasn't that much action in this episode...but couldn't they have at least made the still shots look slightly better? It *is* a finale. >_>;; The choice of music is also really, really depressing. We've been listening to Duo's theme for ages...couldn't they have forgone it for something a bit more awe-inspiring?

I'm guessing that with the expenditure of money and effort on the movie, there was less for Stream overall. I'd say that they did fairly good with what they had, and Axess's ending will look better animated if nothing else because it had more action to animate. |

True. Well, to each his own. XD I can't say I wasn't slightly depressed by the time the episode ended, but it's all in good...well...fun wouldn't be the word. <_< It's just Stream's style, and it's really not that bad.
Looking forward to Beast /o/

I'm just wondering, does this mean Dr. Wily knew that the world was going to be destory? I mean he had a chip ready for Barrel. _________________ Avatar by May, many flowers and thanks for the wonderful avatar. |

Quite a nice ending... I don't really mind the lack of action, the ending was a lot better than I was fearing, they didn't think of a random plot device for Rockman to randomly be able to defeat Duo, and I really liked the bit with the navis standing up for the operators. |

Yeah - now that I've had a while to think about this episode, after seeing it, I don't think the lack of a final battle (Unless you count Forte VS Slur as the 'final battle?') was too bad.
I mean - it would get repeditive, if all the endings for the series' would be the same, right? Rockman/R-Rockman VS badguy - ending in Rockman/R-Rockman pwning them, easily.
... Though, after watching from Stream 1, I REALLY wanted to see Duo fight - rather than kick everyone's ass, in one attack... But, at least, it was the big-scary-mad-face-attack! I paused it, right as Duo shot it out - it's, almost, as creepy as Skeleton-Regal! |

Just one question though after the battle between Forte and Slur, When I was wacthing that and when Slurs data disappeares, Fortes mentions "Rockmans" name...Does this mean anything? I know he said a few more things before saying Rockman, I was curoios along those lines of his intensions to Rockman?
Is Rockman his new target or something? |

Slur! ;_;
Good ending to an okay series. And this adds another reason for hating Forte. : D |

Forte: "Chikyuu ga buji date no matte oo, Rockman."
Unfortunately, my precise translation into english is spotty (especially when I'm not sure if my Japanese spelling is entirely correct). If anyone can make better sense of it, feel free. But for now, my best guess is "The Earth is safe for a little longer, Rockman."
In any case, I think after the events of the movie, Forte is no longer on the obsessed hunt to absorb Rockman like he was in the beginning of Stream. He probably instead holds some shred of respect for him. _________________ "Cats are interesting. They're kind of like girls. When they come talk to you, it's great.
