That's a really old commercial for the original NES Zelda game in the 80s. n.n; _________________ "Cats are interesting. They're kind of like girls. When they come talk to you, it's great. When you go talk to them, it doesn't go so well." - Miyamoto

It's really, really old and was part of the ad campaign for the Zelda games back in the 1980's.
That evil pig thing had me and my friends laughing for a while. _________________

That would be a commercial for Link to the Past, kiddos. SUPER Famicom, y'know? Early 90's. 1992, I think. Yeees.
I've always thought Link was a girl in this commercial, but the one you linked is much better quality than the one I've seen... hm.
Oh well.
*dances with music*
New Zelda commercials are weird too. All the Four Swords ones have these little puppets. |

Puppets? Now that I'd like to see. The Four Swords is what got me into Zelda games. It's awesome when you have 3 friends to play it with.
The only Zelda commercial that stands out in my mind is the one for the Collector Edition CD, Where the guy dressed like Link is standing in the roadside, yelling like a barabrian, and all the people are staring at him.
That reminds me...The US Windwaker commercial, where that kid with the Harry Potter accent is in the tower saying Link is on the quest to save HIM. What was that all about? Link IS the Windwaker! :eyes: |

I remember this Japanese Zelda commerical as I saw it somewhere a long time ago. As soon as I saw the real life people dressed up as Zelda characters, I recognized it straight away. The one part that I remember the most is the scene at the end that involves Ganon revealing himself in all of his glory, and to think that he looked similar to that in the actual games. The commercial was originally created for the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. |

Oh yeah, FS commercials have these weird little puppets. I'm also fond of the puppets from the Link's Awakening commercial...
"Somethingsomething, something else. Something something ZELDAAA! Gaaaameboy, da da da, de dah doo..."
There was a website that has all these old commercials you can download... what did I do with that link...?
(P.S.- In the WW commercial, it's a girl speaking. Like, Ayrll? And she's saying her brother is coming to save her.)
(P.P.S.- "Harry Potter accent"?? ) |

OMG- funny! I'm a Zelda fan also. I can't wait for the new Zelda game to come out next April. They pushed the release date back again!!!!!!! Anyone else heard about it? It's Twilight Princess, and supposed to be for the GameCube system. I can't wait! _________________

Now that I think about it, the video clip does have some funny moments here and there and to me, the dancing does seem rather unusual at times.
A lot of people heard about the delay of the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess DarkMega and the reaction to it was mixed. Many were upset that it was delayed and that Nintendo no longer have a "big" game for 2005, although I think something else could fill the void. Others were happy as it gives Nintendo some extra time to add some extra detail here and there. They won't go back on this decision as they did that once with the Wind Waker and they don't want to do it again. It will still be released for the Nintendo Gamecube next year, although some feel that it should go to the Nintendo Revolution instead. |

I hope not. I don't want to have to buy yet another gaming system. Man, these companies are gonna make me go broke! T_T _________________

I was actually the one who started the Twilight Princess topic back in May. ^_^; Nobody remembers it!
Nintendo has promised it WILL be a Gamecube game, because so many Gamecube owners have been waiting for it oooh so patiently. Like me.
So if Nintendo announces it's for Revoluuution... ahahaaa... Mr. Aonuma, you've been WARNED.
(They won't. I know they won't. They might offer a better version for Revo (the last 7 screenshots they released were in a higher resolution than the GC can display, oh noes!), but it'll still be playable on GC.)
I don't mind waiting. In fact, if I get more pretty music like in the E3 trailer, and maybe like, the town in that last batch of pictures is as spiffy as it looks... I will be one happy camper. |

Atleast I got to play it at E3 this year. Had to stand in line for 3 hours though o_@, but atleast I got an offical shirt out of it *MOBBED*
The gameplay reminded me a bit of Ocarina of Time because there were times Link was using the hookshot when fighting a giant fireworm to go from platform to platform.
Currently the release date is set to April, 3rd or 4th I think but it's got an EXACT date at GameStop so that gives me some hope. _________________

Aah! You went to E3?! Lucky!
*mobs you for your shirt*
Bah, I'm so jealous. Not that you got to play the game, but that you got to see the booth! What was it like? I've only heard bits and pieces and have been looking for pictures with no luck! I really want to see the bridge-projected-on-the-floor thing, and the Stalfos animat... anime... what do you call those moving statue things again...? Animetronic? Hum. Oh well, the wolf was was super-spiffy, VG Cats posted a movie of it walking around and growling at people.^_^
(You should know by now that Gamestop dates and/or any other dates are purely made up. Only date we got is "After March 31st", and that's all we're going to get for a while.) |

Then you're in luck!! I happen to have taken pics of the inside! ;]
http://www.sonicverseteam.com/seggi/E3/
The flash ruined the mystical effect the inside of the booth had, but I got lotsa pics in it =]
I also took a pic of the LoZ:TP shirt I got. MINE!!! >;P
I'm a GameStop employee and the dates GameStop gives are pretty accurate until the company making the game decides to change it. Because I'm an employee is why I got to go to E3 for free. _________________

...I love you.
^_^ I have seen the Stalfos, I can die (partially) happy now! Mwaha.
I've been hearing April 3rd all over, but I do nooot believe it. From wat I've heard from Best Buy and Toys 'R Us people, stores usually put in a date just for their computer... records and such. I think everyone's just picked a day a few days after March 31st. Until Nintendo.com or IGN says otherwise, I will believe no dates I hear. |

If you guys wanna see some seriously messed up Zelda commercials or movies or whatever they are, then check these out:

The Light of Courage
Someone posted these over at the Nintendo Zelda forums. I think they're fake, but they're so rediculous that they're funny. _________________ Power wielded by incompetance leads to nothing but self destruction. |
