Seperation of Brothers-Parts 1-4

ok, since the old forums are now lost for ever, ive decided to re-post the older parts of my fic. People might still want to read it, others might not, but it is here anyway, enjoy =D

(Soz for all the double, triple posts, it was the only was I could seperate each part, if the mods want, I will just put it all in one post. I just thuoght having 5 seperate ones would make it easier to read. Just tell me if it need changed)

Megaman waited, and watched the rain trickle down the window. The rain had started exactly 26 seconds ago. Megaman knew, he had counted, he was that bored. The constant pitter-patter of the rain continued for a large period of time. You could hear exactly how many rain drops had landed on the window, 256, Megaman knew, he had counted, he was that bored.
Lan's "private time" was always like this. During his "private time", Lan always seemed to "forget" his PET, leaving Megaman with a fun filled day of counting raindrops, and gathering dust. Lan never spoke of where he went during this time, whenever Megaman asked him, he rapidly changed the subject. But despite his secrecy, Megaman knew, he had his sources. And by "sources", Megaman meant opening Lans e-mail when he wasn't looking and discovering what exactly he was doing.
The thing that kept them apart, was a classic problem, a thing which through the ages of man, has kept some men happy, and others sad. It had made friends become enemies, driven a rich man poor, and turned a good man sour. Some men had one, others only hoped they had one. That was Megaman's opinion on these things. Yet despite all this, Megaman was amazed at how men still went after them, despite the evil they possesed, and the horrors they caused.
And so, now, around once a week, Megaman was left alone, with only his thoughts, while Lan had his "fun". Megaman could see no fun in what he was doing, he would offen ponder hours, wondering what possible pleaseure a man could reciceve from these things.
However, Megamans opinions, had not always been like this, why, he was all for the beloved creatures of the Earth up until a week ago. Lan was about to embark on his "private time". He, as usual, "forgot" to take his PET with him. However, this time, he had "accidentaly" jacked Megaman into the net, and left him there. Megaman had barly taken a few steps, when he was graced with its precence. The radient pink glow of the fairest creature on the earth, Megaman did not know why it was with him, for it should have been raised to sit with the angels themsleves, and look down on the lower, foolish mortals. When Megaman asked what he had done to deserve such and honour, he was only responded with the words, "You dont know, do you?" Nothing more was spoked about this.
Anyway, Megaman enjoyed its precence. For hours they walked over the net, marvelling at its beauty. Megaman showed it his personal favourite spots on the net, and smiled when its eyes lit up and the wonders he had shown it. But it did not last. After a while, some viruses attacked it, Megaman ran, and managed to defeat them, the viruses were no more, but they had wounded it. The beauty of the world was bleeding, a huge cut in its arm. Luckily it was not too serious. Megaman waited for a thank you, a great honour to be achieved, but it never came. All he received was a huge red mark accross his face.
"Why did you rescue me? I could have taken them!" At this, Megaman laughed. It may be the fairest creature on the earth, but it was not a fighter.
"I'll show you", and with that, it attakced Megaman. All of a sudden, Its radiant glow, it purity, its innocence al vanished, and was replaced with an insane monster. Furiously, it came at Megaman, he dare not fight back, for fear of damaging its perfect body. But it continued to come, and with self defence, Megaman fired a single shot from his Mega buster. It made direct contact with its stomach. It bent over, shaking on all fours. It coughed up blood, and lay there. Megaman went and touched its shouder, but it knocked his hand away. It lay their crying, and then vanished into the night.

That was a week ago. Megaman had told no-one this, and had not seen it since then. At this moment, Lan came back. He walked in, a stiffness about him, he seemed angered. His shirt collar was loose, and there was a bruise on his neck. No prizes were it came from thought Megaman. lan's face was red, blushing. He headed to bed, but the last word he said before he went to sleep were, "we need to talk...tomorrow".
Megman then waited, for tomorrow to come.

Part 2 =D

Megaman woke up. His sleep had been filled with vision of violence and betrayal. He dare not open his eyes, for fear of these visions may become a reality. But, unwillingly, he opened his eyes. Lan was sitting on a chair oposite him, staring at him. His clothes had changed, but the purple mark still remained, like a mark of his betrayal. It showed megaman just how low Lan had sunk.
"So, your awake". Lan's voice was different from usual, it was harder, colder, filled with anger. Megaman knew what was coming. "Been up to anything interesting lately? Going walks? Fighting Viruses? Attacking other navis?!" At this comment, Lans voice rose slightly. Megaman was right. He was annoyed about what had happened last week. Megaman knew he had to answer.
"No. Nothing like that". He wasn't going to get off that easy.
"Really? Then perhaps you could explain this to me? Last night I was out, as you know" Megaman cut Lan off.
"Oh, doing what?" Lan hesitaed, and thought of an answer
"...That dousnt matter", the purple mark seemed to get bigger.
"Oh, yeah, like I dont already know". Lan stood up
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Oh come on! Did you really expect me not to know. Disappearing once a week, bruises on your neck, did somebody get some action last night?" Megaman talked sarcastcily, just to wind Lan up, it seemed to work.
"I.....but...no.....SHUT UP!!!!" Lan's face was blushing, he was breathing heavily. Megaman smirked, he was winning. Lan stammered, as he desperatly thought of something to say. "If you have to know, I...I...I fell" Megaman laughed
"HA, where, right onto the lips of that very *friendly* person next door! Admit it, you were out getting some action" Megaman could see Lan's anger boiling up inside him, he was ready to burst. But Megaman wasnt afraid, he was ready for this.
"Dont....you...dare...insult....her....". Lan was overcome with rage. He tried to supress it, but sooner or later, he would go into a state of rage. Megaman thought he would wind him up some more.
"I wonder who begged first", Megaman started to imitate Lan, "um...do you wanna....you know", then he imitated a girl's voice, "oh...of course Lan...if you want to...but only for a lit.."
"SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!!!" Lan's face was beetroot, his mouth was spitting salinva all over his PET, Megaman could see down his mouth. "I know what you did! She told me you attacked her navi! She told me you left her for dead!"
"THATS A LIE!!! and you know it! Im not like that, I would never attack another navi unless they were threatening someone I cared for, and you know Im like that. At least, you used to know that. Youve changed. The Lan I knew would always stick by me, would never leave me alone, and I would do the same for him. But your not the Lan I knew, the Lan I loved, lan, my brother" Megaman felt a tear trickle down his cheek. That hurt him, it hurt him a lot.
"wow, I never knew you felt like that. If thats the case...Why arent you happy for me!!! Why cant you accept I've found someone?"
"how can I accept that, if you leave me alone for hours on end, and dont even tell me what your doing! Do you think I like being alone?" Megamas's voice was spluttering, his voice was filled with his tears. Lan's rage diappeasred.
"Well, mabey we can work this out. Tell me then, why did you attack her navi and leave her for dead. Why didn;t you help her when the viruses attacked?" Megaman looked up at Lan, sadness replaced by hate
"Is that what she told you? Is that the crap the little very *friendly* person has been coughing up! I thought you were better Lan. Believeing the words of a devil in human form." Lan;s rage returned, and he stared at Megaman. "That's right, she a manipulative little devil. She's out to get me, and shes using you to do it. Open you eyes man, and see the truth!" Lan said nothing, his eyes filled with tears. He desperatly tried to hold them back. Three word came out:"How dare you!"

there was a silence, megaman's hearing was blocked out, the suddenness of this stunned him. he felt his PET moving, lifteed by the hand of Lan, his former friend, his former brother. Soon he was falling, down and down. he accepted that the Lan he had known had gone, replaced by this person. He was not Lan, he was not his brother. Megaman touched the ground, and lay there, doing nothing, saying nothing. The rain came on. Still he did not move. Lan was gone, he was alone, the rain fell, and Megaman burst into tears

Part 3 =D

A week had passed, a week lying in the gutter beind Lan's house, a week without him. The realisation of everything was too much for Megaman, how he longed for the old days, when he and Lan were best friends, inseperable. Now they were gone. This past week had been hard for Megaman, alone. Usually, the sight of Lan's smiling face cheered him up, but now it just enraged him. At night, he could hear them both, out in the dark, enjoying them selves. Everytime he heard her high piched shriek of laughter, Megaman was more and more determined to stop her, and get revenge. She had torn him and Lan apart, now he would tear her apart. He had already taken action. he had contacted a close friend, hopefully he would come to his aid. he came, just in megaman's deepest time of need. Lan came home one night, and saw Megaman lying there. He walked over, and smkirked when he saw Megaman lying in the dirt. Lan picked him up, and went to smash him into the ground. Megaman did not evan try to stop him, he knew it was useless, Lan was lost, he might as well accept his fate. Lan forced his hand down, but at the last moment stopped. Something inside him, deep within his soul, prevented him from destroying Megaman. Perhaps, the time they had spent together was embeded in him too much to destroy with a single act of violence. Loosing his best friend, was not worth it, evan for the woman he loved. However, Megaman still hated him, and vice versa. If he couldnt be happy for his new love, then they couldnt be together. But, for some reason, lan didnt want that to be a reason to destroy Megaman. He couldnt bring himslef to do it. He dropped Megaman to the ground, and turned round. There, he was greeted with the frienly green neighbour, His emence shape, made lan cower in fear. A single hit to the stomach, and he was down, aching in pain. A small amount of blood, trickled out of the cornor of Lan's mouth. Megaman was picked up by his rescuer, and taken away, away from the house of his former brother.

Part 4 =D

Megaman sat waiting for his host to reappear. He had went away for God knows what, food most likely. Megaman thought about all that had happened over the past few days, and it wasnt good. Now, after all that had happened, he was stuck with the fattest person he had ever seen. This guy never seemed to stop eating. and he seemed to wear the same green top every day,has he no sence in fasion? Well, at least he gave Megaman a home, at least until this was all over. A door opened, and he walked in. his pressence dimmed the room, and the room cowwered before his huge body. As Megaman had expected, he was getting food, and again, he was eating, and wearing that same green shirt.
"Hey Megaman"
"Hey Dex". Dex sat down, and threw the wrapper of what he was eating on the floor. Ever heard of a bin fool Megaman thought. Dont complain, hes keeping you safe.
"So, let me explain, Lan has..." Dex shook his head.
"No need to explain, I know"
"You do?"
"The whole bloody town knows. They are out late at night, giggling and laughing, and generally pissing everyone off"
"Ok, I see. Well, do you know this, she is out to get me!"
"What do you mean?"
"She is trying to split Lan and me apart!"
"Why?"
"No idea. But I need help. you need to help me show Lan she is out to get me" With this though, Dex started to sweat, and backed away slightly. Typical, he acts big, but when it comes to it, hes just a big cissy. Like al the times when Dex came along to help Lan, he would just stand back and do nothing.
"Well....Ive ....got my own problems to think about!"
"What do you mean?"
"Well...shes out to get me too"
"Really, why?" Dex tried to avoid the question, but ended up spilling, he was so easy to crack
"Well, lets just say it involved her, a shower, me and a window" Dex blushed as he revealed his biggest, darkest secret
"you mean..."
"yeah"
"Why...
"Well, I...-
"LETS, not get into too much detail"
"Are you sure, its a really funny story"
"NO, its fine, really". For many hours, Dex and Megaman talked for many hours and had many laughs, mocking the 2 people. Gutsman joined in occasionlay, but being such a gimp, all he could contribute were random words such as "Guts" and "Rahha", and other noises too strange to interperet.
"So, what do you want me too do?"
"get some sort of evidence that she is out to get me"
"how?"
"I dont know, you are the pervert who looks in peoples windows, you tell me!"
"hey, that was just curiosity towards the unknown!" Megaman just shook his head.
"just go, please?"
And with that, Dex stood up and walked away. Megaman was left along in the room, but not in the world. There were people who would help him, Dex was one of them. He knew things would turn out alright
